Nikki Blonsky @ 2008 SAG Awards
Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky (in Igigi) works the red carpet at the 2008 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday in Los Angeles.
Blonsky and the rest of the cast of Hairspray are up for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

I still say ignore the idiot who do nothing but post negtive comments about her weight.
Nikki is amazing and we should be celebrating her.
But Jenn you did just pwn! And I will say this again, plus size doesn’t mean unhealthy. There are plenty of plus sized girls who are healthy. I just think it is a cheap thing to hate on her for and the only thing people can find.
Not to mention if you look at other posts on JJ, haters post in all of them making ignorant comments, Not just Nikki and her weight/looks. But plently of other celebs,

OMG! She is so young and sooo fat. However she is a great actress and a talnet she must do something. Diat, gym or something… It is unhealthy for her young body. Come on Nikki! But the face is angelic. :)

Most of you are Jerks “Disgusting” “Blue Whale” You know what get a life instead of ragging on someone elses apperance. Besides she made it in to show buisness and what you have done with your miserable little lives I wonder? She made it and is one of the first white, young, full figures females to make I think that is some thing to admire and most of you who don’t are probably too skinny to be a kind person and yes that is the nicest way to say how I really feel about you Idiots.
Just had to say that everybody make’s mistake’s Vanessa did and she dealt with it and got on with her life and dealt with it.
Now I don’t know Nikki personally or anyone else famous but nobody is perfect and everybody make’s mistakes and Nikki is the same I dare say she has made mistakes and maybe wishes she could change a few things everybody does it’s a human nature andnothing will ever change that.
So it’ unfair to keep insulting Vanessa with at the end of the day was her mistake and nobody else’s and she had to deal with it.
Nikki come’s across as a very talented confident young woman but I just wonder that if Nikki was to have a lapse of judegment would everybody be so quick to keep bringing it up orto let her deal with it, put it behind her and just be a suportive fan of her talent and not the mistake.
Just remember nobody and I mean nobody is perfect and that person will never appear.

#113, I agree that people make mistakes, and have to move on. But… I don’t understand what possible relevance that whole comment has to this thread. This is about Nikki attending the SAG awards, nothing at all to do with Vanessa. She wasn’t even there. And I have read most of the comments on this thread, and I don’t recall anyone putting Vanessa down for her n ude photo scandal. So, what was your point?
Anyway, I can’t wait to see what projects Nikki lands after the writer’s strike is over, now that she has the GG and CCA cred behind her!
btw - the pics of Nikki with Angelina are total WIN! Angie looks so thrilled to meet her! lol! Just like she and Brad looked so happy for her at CCAs! Of course, anyone who’s anyone loves Nikki!

i love this chick!!! she is amazing. the way she doesnt let negative comments on her outward appearance effect her is amazing. it takes strength to do that. more power to her:)
