I don’t know why you guys are actually have controversy about Vanessa being there or not. There could be many reasons why she is not there, it does not necessarily have to be JUST BECAUSE “ZANESSA” broke up or Zac didn’t want her there. Zac declaring his lovefor Vanessa to the world isjust something that I could’nt see him doing not becuase he does’ntbut just becuase he like Vanessa is a private person and that kind of statement is something that is special and private to the two people involved in that relactionship, but that does’nt mean that he has’nt told Vanessa that he love’s her in private which is the right thing to do anyway.

How Zac feels about anybody in his life is his buisness and does’nt and should’nt be expected to guss about them to the press just to keep people happy.

Nobody know’s when they start a relactionhip what is going to happen the next day never find a few year’s down the line but they have been together for2 and a half year’s so far and that’s good going but they are still young and still finding out about each other as they both contiune to grow into adults so I would imagine like any sensible couple they are just taking things one day at a time, Zac as Vanssa has said make’s her happy and know’s how to do that and Iimagine that it’s the same for Vanessa with Zac after the time that they have known each other Idare say they know what make’s the other one tick.

So Vanessa was’nt their big deal they’re not joined at the hip and in a healthy relactionship and one that is more likely to last the distance is one where even though your together you don’t need to be 24/7 to know it’s working giving , each other space to do and go to other things seperate is good and when Zac has gone to other things Vanessa has gone but kept in the background becuase it’s Zac’s night.

At the end of the day it’s their life, their choice to be together away from the public eye as much as possible and their choice as to how long it will last.

I for one hope they go the distance but if not it’s been nice watching a young couple grow as individuals and also show the world how a mature relactionsip work’s without the need to have every kiss, cuddle and affection to each other plastered across the paper’s just to prove that they have something.

I lookforward to seeing Zac in future movie’s and think he will do very well and also lookforward to seeing and hearing Vanessa in future things, whatever else happen only time will tell.

First of all, I was debating on whether Vanessa was going to show up.

Second, Zac and Vanessa didn’t break up. Just because she didn’t show up doesn’t mean they broke up. She is getting ready to start filming a movie that is going to need to prep before it starts filming. She is singing in the movie, so obviously she is going to need to do vocals before she can film. The bands in the movie are practicing right now, so the bands look really professional when they film the movie. This isn’t the type of movie where she can just show up and film. It’s going to take a lot of prep and rehersals.

I must say Zac looks very sharp in those pictures. I’m sure there is nothing in the SAG rules against against the nominees bringing dates/or significant others. I’m sure John Travalota came with his wife Kelly Preston even though she wasn’t in anything “SAG Worthy” this year. So did he bring her out of “pity?”

I agree that Zac and Vanessa are not tied at the hip. And he is not required to bring her to all his functions anymore then she is required to bring him to all of hers. However I’m sure since this was “his night” he would have wanted her to be there if she was able.

I didn’t fully appreciate just what a busy little bee Vanessa is these days until the good folks at VABN enlightened me: She not only has one more track to record for her upcoming album which is supposed to be done this week. Pre-preduction for “Will” is scheduled to begin in Austin (she may be there now); having seen the script on-line I can tell you her character is going to require a good deal of preparation. Plus I understand that recording for the “Will” soundtrack is supposed to begin this week as well.

So as you can see Vanessa is facing the old dilemma of “So much to do and little time to do it in.” Schedulewise it may have not have been feasible for her to attend the awards as much as they may have wished it otherwise.

It does not mean that tonight was the ringing of the death knell for Zanessa. Zac has his career to tend to and Vanessa has hers. That is just the nature of the business.

Congratulations to Zac and the cast of HS for the nomination at the SAGs! Loved the movie and loved seeing him so happy and smiley. Wish HS would have won but it was great to see them all together again. He seems so at ease when with that “family” as they refer to themselves.
Good to see him alone being just Zac without all the other hype surrounding his lovelife. Seems grounded and it appears from his conversations, he goes home whenever he can to be with his family and old hometown buddies. Good for him. The craziness and speculation in LA has to be tiring.

I don’t think a of people take in consideration what it meant for these two to go to Palm Springs together and walk onto that red carpet. If anyone would go through the videos and see the attention that hit them the minute they got out of that limo together you will clearly see this was no light-hearted decision on their part. By now they know all too well they generate interest when they are around. I’m sure they know every speculation that goes on about them. SO, it many no sense that they would venture forth and quietly declare themselves a couple in this way IF their was a hint of trouble in paradise. That would be silly if they were on the verge of a break-up to go so public with their relationship. It would seem that THEY KNOW they are “solid” and were ready to take the step they did in Palm Springs.

Their separation while Zac was filming Hairspray and Vanessa was on tour—thousands of miles apart—could not break up this couple and I would dare say their relationship was not on the same level it is now. It was reported that they burned up the cell phone lines and made time to see each other whenever they could. Perhaps they will be able to get together in a week or so, Valentine’s Day? BUT if we don’t have any pictures to prove they have been together it won’t mean they haven’t seen each other, either. So, stop worrying.

I would say if HSM had a table and Ashley came with her boyfriend then Vanessa would have come IF she would have been available. She could obviously have come by herself for that matter but since she didn’t I would say she is busy finishing up with her CD, recording for her new movie, OR she is already hundreds of miles away in Austin—-that’s my guess.

Also, you people who say Zac has never told Vanessa he loves her—-how do you know that??? When is he suppose to say words like that? Do you expect him to be interviewed in a magazine or on the red carpet and stop and say, “Oh, BTW, I just want everyone to know I love you, Vanessa.” OR do you suppose it would be a lot more romantic if he said it while they are alone and in private? Which makes more sense? I don’t have to announce on TV or in a magazine interview that I love my husband. And how many times does people have to say this, Zac and Vanessa have been dating for over 2 years now, which means that it was long before they either knew that HSM would be this big and before they knew that they were going to make a sequel, so no, it’s not for publicity, because if you think so, it only proves that you know nothing of the guy that you claim being a fan of, everyone with half a brain and who have followed Zac for even a short while have noticed that he isn’t the sort of person who 1) would ever let anyone tell him who to date and 2) would never allow either him or anyone else to be used like that. And yeah, you don’t have to like Vanessa or anyone else that he wants to spend time with, but by insulting them, yeah, you are insulting him and I bet that Zac would never want his “fans” (or whatever you would call yourself) to insult them, heck, he sent a papz a death glare for asking Vanessa if she would be in HSM 3 or not, you know, I would like to see you go up and insult Vanessa in front of Zac, and then see what he thinks of you, his ‘fan’, after that. Then you’ll know how he reacts when people insult the once he’s close to.
Don’t underestimate Zac, he seems to be one of those few truly great guys out there.

And I don’t think much about Zac and Vanessa spending every moment together, and I don’t think that they should be together because they look cute (well, that’s a bonus), but I think that they should be together because in each other they seem to have found that one thing that many spend their whole life searching for, that one person that you can always count on, and considering that they meet before they became this famous, you can guess that they know that the other one isn’t using the other. And the way they look at each other, it’s just something special there that makes me believe that they can last, and even if they would break up, I believe that they would find their way back together later. But I dunno, I don’t know them but if this is something that you can see through pictures…wow.

And who knows, maybe the reason why he isn’t wearing a ring is because he and Vanessa are engaged, I mean, the usually doesn’t wear a ring then…*lol* sorry, I couldn’t help it, but seriously, I don’t see the big deal about the ring, there could be a million reasons why he isn’t wearing it, who knows, maybe he gave his to Vanessa to bring when she went to Texas and she gave hers to Zac like for safe keeping, I mean, then neither of them would be able to wear it. That’s a long shot but my point it, we don’t know the reason, the ring exchange is cute and all but it doesn’t mark if they are in a relationship or not, who knows, maybe he isn’t wearing it for that reason, because then people who know that he was in a relationship with her based on his feelings and not because of a ring.

I’m back for a minute and want to give a shout out to you wonderful angels here, Steph, Narf, Troy, and Go Sox. (I think I wore myself out earlier and I had to go rest! LOL)

But I just wanted to also agree with go sox in that I think Zac and Vanessa are excited and supportive of each other but they also know they have to present themselves separately career-wise and not as a “package” deal. They understand they will have to be apart at times and they have already had to get through some absences like when Zac was promoting Hairspray. They have easily weathered 2 weeks apart several times. Until Zac goes to London or places like that I’m sure they will have moments where they can get together. It may only be a couple days here and there but I’m sure that will happen. They always are with those precious phones which even Vanessa said at the AMA’s she NEVER turns off.

On a side note, all of you who think that somehow and in someway Zac is supporting Vanessa—she made more money than he did last year. Extra was showing their little blips for tomorrow to generate interest in their show. It showed a brunette girl standing beside Zac at the after party but they didn’t say he “brought” her. It was “who is the brunette” type deal. It is probably nothing and someone who just came up to him at the party. There were many introducing themselves to him all night long. You can’t expect that he was NEVER caught close to a younger female during the night. Even when he and Vanessa went to his Hairspray premieres in LA and Australia they were not seen on the red carpet but were on the same pictured with each other at those events. I hope they don’t try to start something for publicity. I don’t think they can. But maybe they will mention where Vanessa is for sure.

When the promotions were complete Nikki went back to her life and friends in New York. Zac returned to California to his life, friends and Vanessa.

If you note there is not a single picture of Zac with just Nikki since the end of promotions. There are always other people in the the pictures. In the pictures from Palm Springs the only pictures that have Zac and Nikki in Zac is not standing anywhere Nikki who is he standing next to? He is standing next to his girl friend, Vanessa Hudgens.

At the SAG awards last night he did not sit next to Nikki. There are no pictures of Zac with Nikki.

Why is this you ask?

I agree that this “mystery brunette” was not with Zac. I think that is Extra’s way of grabbing our attention. Here is my reasoning…

She was NOT sitting with Zac at the Hairspray table. I recorded the SAG awards and went back and watched it again. When Julie Christie was accepting her award, you can see the HS table as she was walking up the steps. You can clearly see James, his wife, Zac and next to Zac was some older man (possibly his manager or a producer from HS). Next to that man at the end of the table was Brittany and Amanda. So that brunette was not sitting with Zac.

Also, as private as Zac is with his private life, I find it very difficult to believe that he would bring another girl to such a public event. Look how long it took for him to bring Vanessa to a red carpet event. There is no way in a matter of days of being seen with Vanessa he would meet another woman and bring her to an awards show where Vanessa would surely find out. I don’t find him as the type to be that cruel.

So, I think this is a made up story from Extra to grab ratings.

I think you’re missing the point of your name…. Most of all, I’m afraid you’ve made a mistake in the meaning of it. You should call yourself “The Cynic” instead.

1. Reality is that we don’t know yet, whether Zanessa is from what you say “dead”… Let’s be real, Vanessa is in Austin filming a movie

2. Reality is that Nikki and Zac never were nor are they now dating

3. Reality is that we’re all humans, and humans often forget to even put on underwear, LOL, or often wear our shirts backwards, LOL .. therefore, reality is that we also can FORGET to put on important peices of jewelry

4. Reality is that as fans it is a double bonus that Zac and Vanessa are dating… but as fans, we like them individuality and if and when they do break up, we’ll still be here as fans, supporting them as individuals… as we do now.

do you think stars (not just zac) sometimes tell the interviewers ahead of time what they DON’T want to talk about? just curious. i know the interviewers must have been dying to ask him where vanessa was,but not a question. someonedid talk about the appendix though, and he seemed fine talking about it.

Yes, the stars do sometimes in interview have it set up before time what they will not talk about. I don’t know if you caught Casey Affleck in his one interview on the red carpet(he really is not a good person to interview, I found the interviewers to really have to try to pull any “words” out of him at all.) but he even is looking down to the side and saying to the interviewers how “I thought you weren’t suppose to ask me that question”, etc. Sometimes, in Barbara Walters interviews she will upfront say that so’n’so refused to answer questions concerning…and said the interview would be over if we brought it up, etc.

I don’t know that Zac has set up anything like this prior to being interviewed but I imagine by now most of these people are aware that he will not talk about these things so they don’t ask. I thought at the Palm Springs festival the interviewers went easy on them with the questions they did ask. You could see how Zac watched Vanessa when the guy from Extra was questioning her and you could just tell how uncomfortable she was in even being approached by him when he started off and said, “Let’s just talk about how sweet your boyfriend is…” She was covering her face and then laughed and said “You said it first”, etc.
