To address your second question:
Jen is from West Virginia. There is absolutely NOTHING in West Virginia. So when she first arrived to Hollywood and got a bit part on Felicity, she hooked up with Scott Foley. They married and she got noticed… Jen just took small steps and NOT big leaps on the social ladder. She’s come a LONG way from the West Virgina geek girl look.

Marrying Foley gave her recognition since Foley was pretty well known and liked for his work on Felicity when they began dating. She and Affleck are considered to be A-List celebs but only B-list actors at this point in time.

If she wasn’t ambitious, she wouldn’t be in HW under the daily scrutiny of the paparazzi. They could easily move anywhere to escape the paps

I just think it’s hilarious that of all the people in Hollywood and on these blogs, Jen Garner is the one being called a publicity wh*re. It just makes me wonder what the standard for being a publicity wh*re/social climber are.

Um, she married Scott Foley because she was from WV? Let’s completely forget about the possibility that they, oh I don’t know, fell in love and wanted to get married? That statement is quite a leap. And has she really come along from the WV ‘geek girl’ look? To read half the comments on these blogs, people seem to think that she is exactly the same person she was when she left her home state. I’m not sure exactly how that factors into your theory either.

So, jen and ben must move off the city just because the paps? I think there are anothers solutions to the problem, like learn to live with the paps!

This is what I was referring to and the fact that she really HASN’T gone out of her way to become an every day glamour girl. She seems to very much still be the same person she has always been. Wouldn’t someone who is social climbing and just looking for fame spend a little more time being camera ready when she leaves the house?

The only reasons you can give for calling her these things is the fact that, since she’s been on our radar, she’s been involved with three men. And that her involvement with them may have questionable overlaps. None of these men have really done a thing for her career, if you think about it for more than a second.

She had Michael Vartan fired from her show, Alias in the last season.
Jen made demands that he be written off the show in it’s last season. And the director caved into her pressuring him and did write him off. But only brought him back for the final two episodes because the show had lost a lot of viewers when he was written off earlier in that season…

and gone to hell??!?!?
