Another Day, More Drama
Ghost Rider star Eva Mendes has checked into a rehab facility in Utah to battle a substance abuse problem, reports TMZ.
The 33-year-old actress has been at the famous Cirque Lodge the past few weeks (the same one that treated Lindsay Lohan).
Eva was also recently tapped to be the new three-year face for an as-yet unnamed Calvin Klein fragrance, which is being produced by Coty to launch this fall.
“We’ve been looking at Eva for awhile, not just for Calvin,” Catherine Walsh, senior vice president of American Fragrances for Coty Prestige, told WWD. “Her awareness and likability have been on the rise since 2003 - she consistently generates a very positive response. Both men and women find her incredibly attractive, fit and sexy. And because her awareness is growing worldwide, we are planning this fragrance as a global launch.”
DO YOU THINK Calvin Klein will dump Eva as spokesmodel now?
UPDATE: Eva’s rep just released this very vague statement: “Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva’s privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details.”

it is a fact that it has become a no. 1 illness in the last few years.
and it`s nothing that you have to be ashamed about. if you need help than ask for it.
I’m really surprised, you never hear or see any evidence of her being drunk or drugged up and stupid. I wish her the best in her recovery.

The article says she has substance abuse problems (NOT psychological problems). However, I thought everyone in H-Wood had substance abuse problems (and were sexually promiscuous and uneducated). I thought those things were job qualifications for actors.
