Idina, 36, is best known for her performances as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, in the Tony award-winning musical Wicked and as Maureen Johnson in the Broadway and film versions of Rent. She also celebrates her fifth-year wedding anniversary with actor Taye Diggs next Monday!

She was brilliant in RENT.
I was introduced to the Theatre by a close friend and the first show I saw was “Wicked” with Idina playing Elphaba. She has such an amazing voice and her performance on stage was awesome, she really got into the part. I have the soundtrack of Wicked in the Car and I often put it on when I am on a long drive and sing along and relive the show in my mind - not that my singing voice is anything like hers but I try ;)

I have loved Idina since I saw her on broadway in Wicked and can’t wait until May 12th/May13th when I see her and Josh Groban at the Royal Albert Hall in London doing a special 2 performance of the musical Chess.
