Angelina Jolie Lands in London

It was one of my very first posts that I had ever written to JJ- maybe a few months ago. That is why I remember it so well. I had been reading these threads for a while before I got involved in writing a response. I used to google the name brad and angelina just to keep up with their humanitarian efforts. I became intereted in JJ because more information was tracked here, plus the pictures of the family— well, they are so beautiful to look at I couldn’t help myself. Next, I started reading the comments that was posted after each set of pictures…

I was shocked at the overwhelming level of trash written about these two people. Regardless of age or socioeconomic background, I just could not believe that there were so many people willing to admit to and WRITE ABOUT their wicked thoughts in print. I mean…actually flaunt their negative opinions for anyone to read, and there seemed to be no shame nor regret!

The more I read, the more I became incensed. Brad and Angelina are just two examples of people who give their TIME and MONEY when they do not have to and are making an impact on people’s lives. They ARE MOTIVATED to help those that NEED THE HELP THE MOST. Third World countries like Africa, Asia and India have some of the most deplorable living conditions where the MAJORITY OF ITS PEOPLE ARE LIVING IN POVERTY VERY MUCH UNLIKE THE ‘POVERTY’ THAT AMERICANS UNDERSTAND OR DEFINE POVERTY IN THE U.S.

Poverty in Third World countries is better defined as severe degrees of human suffrage. To illustrate, think of the overcrowded football stadium in New Orleans after the levees broke because of the hurricane. Did we already forget? Thousands of people, overcrowding, lost family members, homes destroyed, dead people, violence, infected water, poor quality air, lack of food and water, contaminated food and water, lack of government ( yes, I said it), rapid spreading sickness, sick people, not enough or inadequate medical care, chaos, crime, constant fear, living minute to minute, deplorable hygiene conditions— get the picture? Is it any wonder that Brad and Angelina have ’selected’ NOLA as their home? Think about what they stand for? It makes perfect sense. They will help their ‘neighbors,’ whether it is here in the U.S. or on any continent/country they feel they are in a position to help. They do not have a superiority complex or a sense of entitlement as most Americans have. By the way, that is how we are viewed by most foreigners because of this—nonsense.

If much more of us would behave as global citizens and less as privileged, entitled Americans we would see Brad and Angelina’s humanitarian work, as well as others who have already been in the fight, as ‘normal’ behavior. We are not there yet as a people. And so, everytime Brad and Angelina complete an effort, or adopt a child, we treat their deed as suspect, ridicule them to no end, defame their character, and make strategic effort to destroy their reputation. All because they are trying to make a difference…for someone else’s benefit. And you wonder why foreigners despise us…

Oprah Winfrey as we all believe is a very influential figure in the world of today. So many young girls and women look up to her. I for one admire her struggle and achievements but I’ve a got an issue her.

Angel #301 maybe if you woulda said it as nicely as vickiefromtexas #297 instead of calling other posters (including longtime posters proven to be bonafide fans) scum and b*tches, etc. you wouldn’t have stuck your foot in it. Nor would you have been so defensive.
I totally agree with Angiefans remarks about avoiding the snarkiness that makes up most of the other sites. Grab a clue. Do you really think Brad and Angie would be proud to call a mouthpiece like you a fan? I don’t know you from Adam and you’re probably a nice enough gal but boy, someone makes the slightest remark and you go dark and mean.

Would George ever team up with fellow Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie?

“I don’t know,” he admitted. “I’ve never talked to her about it. She’s been amazing. She and Brad both. They really do walk the walk.”

He continued, “They live in New Orleans. Brad designs and builds buildings.”

And humble George is even reluctant to say that he’s making as big an impact as his famous friends, insisting that more work is to be done in Africa.

“I don’t know if it’s necessary walking the walk because we’re haven’t succeeded at anything yet,” he said.

Or is the collective we, meaning himself, and BP/AJ. Then that is not true because Angie has done a lot of good thing . And has succeeded in building schools, helping to provide women with sewing machines, animal reserves, etc. What is he saying? Peace

The humble part is the journalist being VERY sweet

Seems that about once a month a someone comes by, claiming to have been at JJ’s a long time ago, but doesn’t post anymore because of many different reasons, but they eventually reason it out to be because of …..CLINIQUA.
Cliniqua doesn’t need me to defend her, but I do find that someone who strongly supports the JoliePitts against the absolute crazy idiots who live on this site, gets my support, rather than reading some of the vile, idiotic, cr*p these lunatics who post here all the time.

Ask, you don’t like being touched, do you? It’s obvious, if you think Brad touches Angie “in a bad way”. I’ve never seen him be more affectionate with anyone as he is with Angie. And yes, we can tell you’re “style”.

Dina #1, #388…the next -to-last sentence helps see what he means. He is called humble, and reluctant to say he’s making as big an impact as his famous friends… “she is amazing” and Brad is building houses and buildings. I think he is self-doubting, but praising Angelina and Brad.
