As a Canadian, I have to laugh at all the BS being thrown about these comment forums over this “age thing”–which is a poor excuse any way you look at it. I mean, who would give a sh!t about the guy’s age if she had married Brad Pitt, Keanu Reeves or Johnny Depp–all of whom are older. And how much crap do Tomkat get for their age difference (16 years)? Michael and CZJ (25 yrs.)? Ashton and Demi (16 yrs.)? Ellen and Portia (15 yrs.)? So… Is it really about age, or something else?

And puh-lease, 23 years old is HARDLY prebubescent and “easily manipulated.” If anything, SHE’s the one who went after him, not the other way around.

At any rate, we Canucks, and pretty much the rest of the modern world for that matter, tend to be a lot more liberal/indifferent to this sort of thing. You Yanks really need to get out of the dark ages and stop being so f**king judgmental.

Well to be honest….I think that that is way too much of an age difference. I don’t know why she wanted to marry so soon. She is young….gorgeous and talented and has her whole life ahead of her. I do think he is way to old for her. She can get anyone she wants as pretty as she is!! I know that you can’t help who you fall in love with.

If it were me…..I wouldn’t have married a guy half my age.
