Amy Winehouse: Visa Denied!
Amy Winehouse will NOT be performing at the Grammy Awards this Sunday in Los Angeles as her visa application to enter the United States was just rejected by the American Embassy in London.
DENIED!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery,” reads a statement from her U.K.-based publicist. “There will of course be other opportunities and she very much looks forward to visiting America in the near future.”
Winehouse and her acclaimed “Back to Black” album is nominated for six Grammys this year.

I’m not from the UK (Aussie) and I double checked with two different travel agents and they both said if your just visiting not working then you don’t need one unless you stay longer than 3 months so I’m sweet =).
But I still don’t get why Amy couldn’t just go to the awards but not perform. As far as I know she doesn’t have a criminal record so it does seem a bit unfair.
And RIGHTFULLY SO. This crackhead ***** doesn’t need to be collecting royalties. Bi-t-ch needs to stay in rehab.
and i bet she messes up via satellite too.
2 weeks is NOT enough time to “recover” from Crack, cocaine, heroin,meth, ecstasy and whatever else she is on.
She should just concentrate on her health. We will all understand the absence.

i agree with #10. i hope she wins all six grammys, she deserves them. she might be battling her demons but, she is talented and one of a kind. and also because she would shut the mouths of the people that call her trainwreck and other mean names. good luck amy!

@Rachel: You don’t need a Visa for the USA if you are planning to stay less than 3 months. It’s different if you are planning to work there of course, but you only need a tourist Visa if it’s more than 3 months.
