Angelina Jolie in Iraq (Not Jordan)

@101: oh, my gosh! She’s beautiful…her dress looks so good on her. Now why doesn’t she wear more dresses like that on the RC? Even her do is great on her. I bet that item will sell well. EVerybody who buys it will think they’ll look like her in it.

A very pregnant Angelina Jolie, the goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, arrived in Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, today.

The mother of four (and more on the way) met with General David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, the Iraqi Prime Minister, and Iraqi migration officials.

When Angie says she wants to chat, you say, “How quickly?”

In an interview with CNN early this morning, Angelina said regarding her trip, “I felt I had to come here because it is very difficult to get answers about the internally displaced people. There’s lots of goodwill and lots of discussion, but there seems to be just a lot of talk at the moment, and a lot of pieces that need to be put together. I’m trying to figure out what they are.”

Angelina is expected to hold a press conference today to talk about her meetings with Gen. Petraeus and Iraq’s minister for displaced people.

Angelina was all talk when it came to discussing Baghdad, but when the interviewer asked her about the pregnancy reports in Hollywood, Jolie quickly interrupted her question with, “Oh, don’t. Stop it. Stay true to your tradition. You’re CNN. Don’t do it!”

When the reporter mentioned she just had to ask, Jolie responded with “But I don’t have to answer. OK?”

And the interview ended shortly after that.

#105: timezone, that should put to rest the trolls’ speculation as to where Angie will be when Brad starts shooting for TOL. Hopefully we’ll get some pics of them settling down there for the duration it will take to get it done. We might see the rise of the bump, yay!

(Consequently, that do that he is sporting seems to be for the film so speculators who guessed it were right on.)

Its true, Angelina Jolie is pregnant with TWINS. My Baba can confirm it. He did, after all, sit RIGHT NEXT to her at lunch yesterday. Check out this video, where I swear Angie makes eyes at my very own Baba. Brad Pitt better watch his back. Oh, and in case you were wondering about that plate of food in front of her- don’t be fooled… she doesn’t actually eat. Here’s Baba’s report:

It was a madhouse. Word had leaked out enough that there was going to be a special guest in the DFAC that there were crowds of people there with their cameras.

First of all, yes, she is pregnant, with twins. That is true. She is very, very thin though. No real noticeable bump but she was wearing a loose long-sleeved black sweater that didn’t reveal much. When she was putting on her body armor as we left the UN HQ she did joke about why they didn’t make special fit for women since that would be more comfortable for her breasts. (I am not kidding–Lant, I could have started this e-mail “So Angelina Jolie was talking to me about her breasts today.”) The overall attire was black, pants, boots, short trench coat when we were outside, and a black back pack. No jewelry, no makeup except a little for the TV interview, a gold watch on her right wrist, and a little chinese tatoo on the inside of her left wrist and a larger sort of South Pacific tatoo on the outside of her left forearm. (She is left handed.)

Let’s see what else? For lunch she had chicken fried steak, potatoes, corn with red peppers, and a diet pepsi. She ate very little of it however (you can see her nibbling in the cnn footage). I had mushroom soup, crab meat wrap, and a gatorade, but of course none of you care about that. So that is my day in Baghdad.

CRAZY. My Baba is officially the coolest grandpa ever (at least in my mom’s eyes). Here’s another video clip. Stay tuned for more photos…

People says that AJ will be back in the US Thursday night, that means she is almost home!! :-D I bet those babies and Brad miss her like crazy.
