Angelina Jolie Mingles With the Troops

Angelina Jolie waves and smiles during a visit to a US military base in the heavily guarded Green Zone in central Baghdad, where she visited the canteen for lunch and mingled with troops.

Angie was in the Iraqi capital on Thursday, in her role as a United Nations good will ambassador, on a mission to highlight the plight of Iraqi refugees.

And if you missed the CNN interview, Angie was almost asked about her pregnancy:

CNN: There are reports out of Hollywood that… (laughs)

Jolie: Oh don’t. Stop it. (interrupts I had to ask) Stay true to your tradition. You’re CNN. Don’t do it!

CNN: I know that’s why I have to… (laughs)

Jolie: But I don’t have to answer. OK?

CNN: No you don’t. I completely and totally … you’re right and will not press the matter.

Jolie: Thank you.

There is really no way you can say that she is doing this for any other reason than she cares. She is not promoting a movie now or anything. This is what she does best and is very educated in her UN duties. This is not a publicity stunt to her and never will be. Good work Angie and keep it up.

OT, SKIP IF NOT INTERESTED.
Speaking of strong women, did you guys watch GMA this morning? They have this segment called “I dare you”, where each of the anchors has to do something they’re not comfortable doing. This morning was Robin Roberts’ turn, and someone dared her to walk the catwalk, so she did it live at the Isaac Mizrahi (sp) show. She was nervous and everyone was anticipating her coming out, but when she did, she walked out there WITHOUT HER WIG, strutting confidently in all her power and glory! It was one of the most powerful, moving moments I’ve seen, I started crying. No one on the show was expecting her to walk out bald, and they all cheered her on, from the sound booth people to the audience. It was awesome.
Just in case some of you don’t watch the show or haven’t heard, Robin has just finished being treated for breast cancer.

I deeply believe that it takes a lot of compassion and commitment to carry on with her Humanitarian work. Some of us read the news and complain about the issues, but at the end, we don’t contribute to change. My highest respect for Angelina Jolie. She is committed and so brave.

She’s such a bore. This is coming from a woman that just loved the attention when she was dry humping Billy Bob Thornton on the red carpet. SHe’s not fooling anyone at this point. Blah blah blah. You’ll never convince me that celebrities don’t start out wanting the attention more than anything. And you’ll never convince me that Angelina wouldn’t be upset if the paparazzi ever decided not the care anymore.

I love to hate celebrities. I’m thankful for these sites because they constantly remind me that the whole scene is a joke and they are constantly embarrassing themselves.

She is pregnant. If she was not why would she not only be in black every where she goes but also have her coat on all the time. If she was not it would be easy to deny it. Since she is, she cannot deny it, but she is not ready to announce it to the world.
