I think it is sad that way too many of you regular posters would spout mean-spirited remarks towards a fellow fan. It has finally happened. Most of you have become worse than a troll—because a troll only attacks the enemy. You have stooped to attacking a fellow fan. Talk about evil.

Cliniqua, if you go and look at GC’s, sorry AG, you will see comments that are praising him on his efforts and bravery. Hell the man came home and when asked didn’t know a d*mn thing. That is the difference between Angie and the others. Angie has taken the time, 7 years, to educate herself and learn the laws, the rules, the procedures, the players, the countries involved, the politics, the sensibilities of the people, and her own limitations. She is sensitive to how things work and how you represent yourself. This not ego tripping.

The interviewer was intimidated by Angie and want to make a name for herself by getting a scoop. She thought she would put Angie on the spot and Angie would yield and give her what she wanted. No. Angie doesn’t yield unless she wants to.

Why is there so much bickering among the fans today? Just asking a simple question people.

I don’t own the word. But when I first started ending my post with the word peace I was the only one doing it. Now there are others who do it also. My reason for doing so was as a Muslim woman we greet each other with words wishing each other peace. And instead of say goodbye, we wish each other peace. It is gratifying to see so many peace wishers here on the thread. Today the word doesn’t seem to be having an affect on the thread. But here’s still wishing. Peace

They were discussing Politics, economy, writers strike, etc. Neal Cavuto did ask him if his movie with Angelina Jolie was in the can when discussing the writer strike. Later when discussing why he has no desires to be an mayor again he brings up that he enjoys his life as it is and that he gets to do projects he believes in.

Life & Style’s Publisher to Maxim; In Touch, L&S Rate Bases Cut

Neil Goldstein is jumping ship from Bauer Publishing’s Life & Style to become associate publisher of Alpha Media Group’s Maxim, effective Feb. 28.

His move coincided with parent Bauer’s announcement today that it would cut Life & Style’s rate base 21 percent, to 550,000. The weekly missed its 700,000 rate base by 18,277 copies in the second half of 2007, a period in which it raised its cover price by $1, to $2.99. Bauer also cut sibling title In Touch’s rate base 17 percent, to 1 million.

No successor at Life & Style has been named.

Goldstein became publisher of Life & Style in November 2006, when Bauer named individual publishers for its celebrity weeklies to drive ad sales, replacing Bob Davidowitz, who had been group publisher for Life & Style and In Touch. Goldstein had previously been publisher of Bauer’s teen group.

At Maxim, he will fill a position that has been vacant since Steve DeLuca bolted early last year to become associate publisher at Condé Nast Traveler.

Meanwhile, the Bauer circ cuts mark another blow to the celeb weekly category, whose once-robust growth has been tempered over the past year amid rate base cuts and cover price hikes. Some titles also have been pinched by a decline in ad pages related to the writer’s strike.

The cuts were not unexpected, though. Bauer had been aggressively growing the circulation of its weeklies, raising their rate bases six times since In Touch launched in 2002 and Life & Style made its debut in 2004. Meanwhile, major wholesalers had begun pressuring Bauer to raise the cover prices across its low cover price titles, contending they’re unprofitable for the wholesalers.

Miranda is just a gal that chooses not to like beautiful Angelina. It drives us truefans nuts because we can’t see ANYTHING not to love!

But most of us here can’t hack aniston—we’re all calm now because she is out of the picture. But she’ll be back soon–’cause she is a survivor and covets her celebrity like nobody’s business. She will soon blitzkrieg us with her presence and will make us all bonkers!!!!
