Hayden Christensen Sans Rachel Bilson
Jumper costars Hayden Christensen and Jamie Bell hang out with their director Doug Liman outside of Hostaria dell’Orso restaurant in Rome, Italy on Wednesday.
The trio was seen chatting up a hot blonde outside of a party for Jumper, which opens in theaters nationwide next Thursday. Liman can’t seem to put the camera down–he filmed the entire encounter. Strange!

I’ve been watching these PR stunts for a while now. The sexy blonde is someone obviously Hayden, Jamie and Mr. Liman know. She is probably a PR assistant. She looks like she is older. More like a sexy looking cougar type to me. Someone in her mid to late 30’s. This woman would not be with Jamie who is only 21. What a stupid speculation! :lol: She is more Hayden’s type. As far as Rachel being their b/c her agent was there. I can careless. There is no doubt Rachel was there someplace. The crew was all there to promote Jumper! Doug Liman, Hayden, Jamie and Rachel. So what?! It is all to promote Jumper. Samuel was not there and does not need to be. He is already a well known in Hollywood and has done numerous great films under his belt. Samuel did not need to attendend. Plus, Samuel is married and has a family @ home. He is not a single man.

Okay. I’m a solid Hayden fan. I think this is pretty much promotional functions Hayden is now locked into doing. He has to be around Rachel. After all she is the love interest in the film Jumper. So, all the pics of them together to make it seem more like a relationship promotes the movie even more.
I say to people wait and see after the movie is viewed and see if H/R are spotted glued to the hip together? :lol: Not that they actually are. For pete’s sake! I feel you will see Hayden open up more when he is around people that he is relaxed around..This totally shows he is relaxed and happy..Doing a promo or photocall is all work no real fun. He has his camera around with him but basically he has to do interviews, talk shows and photo’s nothing that can make a person feel happy and then add to it the movies pushes on people a fake love outside of the screen in hopes this will case the same fire it did for Angelina and Brad..But they forget both of those Stars are well loved in Hollywood and they don’t need to over promote a movie to get box office attention..
I watched Bourn 2 last night this blonde almost looks like the woman who played Jason Bourn’s wife who was killed off..I wonder if she might be..but I still think she was a crew or PR department for the studio..

Well that to me would confirm “NO” and I think it was mentioned by another that keeping things like a relationship in Hollywood a secret is virtually IMPOSSIBLE and if they are photgraphed walking, eating, or hanging out why is that impossible to confirm a work relationship I’m sure everyone who works goes to lunch or shops with a co-worker there doesn’t mean you have to be serious about that person. I think there are fans of his or her’s that want them to date but, many I guess like me feel they don’t have to be a couple to make a movie. It truly works better when you aren’t dating that person.

I saw her on the cover of Lucky magazine today when I was running my errands @ the market. I almost picked it up and bought it. Liman is pulling out all the punches to get people to think of this as another Star Wars and so see Rachel as Natalie Portman..I don’t think that can happen. I’m sure we will be bombed with photo call shots of them and the cast. Glamour has them too in articals to me this is OVERKILL too much is too much you can turn people off with too much press to the point it makes them so sick they don’t want to see the movie even if it this could be good. I have seen enough of trailers and there is WAY too many trailers and partical trailers that have most of this movie seen before it is out. And what I have seen in these trailers does not show me anything about Ms Bilson that screams she is a great actress or even better then her OC days. I think she has far to go before she can mesaure up to the talents that are going on now in Hollywood.
As for Mr. Christensen I feel he can act he just is getting into movies that to me he just doens’t fit with. He might be athletic but he isn’t the type to be the action adventure Hero he isn’t Cruise or Ford some younger actors can pull it off but they are built for it. He is more the sports authority man. I’m just hoping the newer movies he is scheduled to make will do him more justice then Sci-Fi flicks..

I agree there are way to many trailers and clips and I have seen enough of them to know that Rachel is at best mediocre. Her voice is flat and she seems a bit over hammy in some scenes or seems fake. Rachel is a D-lister trying to be an A-lister. She just got lucky that Doug Liman decided to take her on. I think Doug Liman blew it by hiring Rachel! Then, all the press and trailers on it. I’m sure Jumper will get the business because there is NOO competition put this up agains Dark Knight or Indiana Jones and that would have been the test of how well this movie could do and how great the cast is. The fact he is releasing it granted it’s good business timing but the fact in a few months the movie will be history and the idea of the newer faces in the summer movies which make more money then February ones will yet to be seen..

I was being factitious I cetainly know that Ms. Bilson will never be in that same league as Ms. Portman talent is something that comes natural and normally you can see it in someone’s work early on and if they don’t have it they just don’t have it. Many good actors start out with low budget movies or rated ones but their talent finds a way to break out and show itself with many decent actors..Sean Penn was a bad boy who did show he could act and did it well..Tom Cruise had his time with bad roles but talent was there..
I’ve seen Ms. Bilson’s work and she to me can act just she isn’t what I call a movie actress she is a decent model and can seem to do that well but, I just can’t say of all these trailers I saw do I feel I see a talented actress in there. I think Liman should have gone with a better principle actress and not go for somoneone on moments notice I feel sorry for Teresa Palmer I think she possibly might have done well as a Millie but, was not given a shot because she wasn’t a bigger name..

That they are just friends and and a good time working with one another. From what I gather, Brody was her first love. Their breakup has done a number on her. She’s still getting over it. First loves do take a while. She’s been just hanging out with people of her age that she relates to to help herself through the breakup. Christensen is one of those friends. What’s so wrong with that? About the whole relationship thing could happening, I think that was in general. Christensen gets why someone could fall for their co star and that he does see some characteristics he likes but that doesn’t mean he wants to date them. He only gets it. You also have to remember that all actors “gush” about their co stars especially when their film is coming out. They do have to be cordial to one another. It’s called playing nice for work’s sake. Have anyone of you made nice with a co star even though you may or may not like them for the sake of work? We all have. If you start a fight or get into a fight at work, you could and more than likely get fired. If they don’t play nice, they might not get another movie role because of the label of “difficult.” Seen Val Kilmer lately? He’s labeled as “difficult.” That’s why. Not to mention he sucks but that’s just my opinion. Get the point? Ladies, don’t read into and overanalyze every little thing and detail. That’s what gets you into big trouble concerning us men. Guys aren’t that hard to figure out. We’re open books. What you see is what you get. Men are more direct and we don’t understand the meaning of subtle. If we don’t like you a certain way, you can tell. If we do, you can tell. We get all shy around the woman/women we happen to like. We get subconscious. We doubt ourselves and clam up. We try to impress you. Do you see that here with Christensen? No. Case closed.

But isnt it that Bilson INITIALLY did those gushing on Hayden by commenting how good actor he is (Playboy) and being a very attractive man (Seventeen)? So I think its just right for him to pay it backwards for those patronizing words. Or simply put, the never-ending hype for milion-budgeted movie that looks like that its producers are desperately to make it huge at the box-office the way the’re “hard-selling” the movie at all cost.

I fully believe that men and woman have the ability to be “JUST FRIEND” and not have to intertwine it with dating issues. Many want to see that Hayden and Rachel date the fans are really the ones that create this illusion in their heads, thus the reason we see a ton of crap photographs of them out and about. They both have their own homes, they do not live together and they are not shacked up if they were such a hot hot love couple they would be seen and photographes with plenty of PDA one can not hide in hollywood it’s impossible to do it. There is no privacy anywhere when you are a celebrity.
I think when you read a magazine you see what the interviewer want you to read but, you don’ t hear the exact question or quote from them and you have no idea how the magazine wants to print it. for Glamour he might have been “yes she is sweet and great to work with.” could be the writer (like Hayden’s Glass film ) took a bit of creative journalism and added something to make the ambiance more appealing to the reader. By adding he was gushing Oh please I had worked for a magazine firm and I have seen the tricks many can use this is to make money and all magazine what a piece of the sales..
I just feel Liman see this Jumper as his SW he has Hayden and sam he got Jamie bell who could be the Ewan and Rachel as the Natalie. Liman to me is promoting this like Lucas did worldwin tour of countries promote. The only problem I see it that the story might be good but most of his cast is weak looking from the trailers I see, not that the trailers give you all but, in this case there are so many trailers and cuts of the movie on youtube and internet that you almost have the entire movie online. and to me Bilson looks weak as an actress as if this was another OC stint with her old director..
Doug only picked Rachel because she was in the OC,but in a recent interview he said,he didnt pick her because she was well known. but way before this jumper stuff came out he said;”I’VE WORKED WITH RACHEL ON THE OC,and i wanted someone familar in the business….” and blah blah and he said he wanted a well known in Hollywood,thats why he dumped that other very pretty girl,which i was looking foward to see! doug f**ked it up! I think magazine’s have a way of adding more to someone’s quote or take things out of contex and misquote to make things sound very juicy to sell their magazine. I used to be a fan of In Style magazine and People until I figured out all I was reading was a bunch of dirt and gossip on celebrities lives and half the stores were untrue. Such as Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaghn. Those two were supposed to be an item when doing that one film. Hello? We don’t see them hanging around each other anymore do we???

Hayden has a charming side to him I saw it with Natalie and I feel he is still a bit timmid when it comes to woman..But all in all I think Hayden is just riding a wave of success he hopes to get with Jumper and the sequals..I just don’t see any real talent in Ms. Bilson for this and if Liman just wanted to use her to use an OC star it is ashame for the other actress to get dumped for Rachel. I think any woman he dates will not be in show business that would be my impression of hayden. He likes privacy and right now Rachel is far cry from someone being private. My impression is that this is all way too PR and showmance for it to be factual. The movie tickets sell if they can give the impression of a loving romance..I think he wants to be on his farm more then be in Hollywood or any place else..

Speculation is how they sell movie tickets, sell the celebrity to get attention for a movie that might not make it otherwise..Think about it if this movie were not to be hyped THIS MUCH and Rachel made the center of attention would you still go see it if the trailers were all you see on TV and nothing more..Good chance no..Plus the fact this movie isn’t running against any huge attention flicks like Inidiana or Knight..Even Ironman is possibly a good chance it would beat it. That unknown girlfriend up in Canada, as this rumor goes, would have to be the most patient, tolerant, understanding saint ever born to endure this current madness. NO ONE is like that. She would’ve kicked his a** to the curb for going along (even having to by contract) with all this. It would do a number on her mentally and have her questioning everything. And, she’s been up in Canada (as the rumor goes) by herself for a huge chunk of the time without the reassurance from him in physical person. Women are far more jealous by nature than men. The video was very much chopped and he didn’t say he was dating Rachel. It’s very possible he does have a girlfriend other than Rachel and maybe, he just likes to keep his private life private. I think they are a couple, but I don’t think it will last long at all. For one I don’t feel that they have anything in common. Hayden is this eloquent and intelligent guy, you can tell from his interviews. Then you have this valley girlish type of woman, who really has nothing interesting to say. it reminds me of that reality show beauty and the Geek. I learned more about her shoes in one interview, than anything else. I’m sure she’s probably fun to be around, but what could they possibly discuss with each other?
Another thing is the body language/chemistry thing. Which is the main reason why you have people still questioning it. THAT is not the body language of a couple in love or who are into each other. their body language toward one another is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen, especially from him. There is no passion or adoration in his eyes when he’s with her. Most of the time he looks unhappy. Most of Hayden’s fans know what the man looks like when he’s into a girl. It’s something he absolutely cannot hide. It’s written all over his face and in his body language. I’m sorry but when he’s with her that is not it…at all. I don’t know what the hell that is. Also, it always seems as if she’s more into him than the other way around.
The third thing is the issue with her loving the attention. Alot of people have had this debate. Some think she is a pap tipper and others don’t think she is at all. Pictures of her and Hayden and pictures of her by herself..an overwhemingly majority of them are taken by the same two agencies. One moreso that the other. Is this a coincidence? I don’t think so. I’ve always thought this, If you don’t want to be seen then you’re not seen. I’ve always said this about her as well as others. People just brushed it off and blamedd it on her being in demand or whatever. She’s not an A list superstar, she’s photographed more than A list superstars that live in Los Angeles.
Then I read an interview that Hayden did with the Washington Post for Jumper promotion last month and he said something that just drove my point about not being seen home. Here’s a snippet of the interview and his direct quote:
Christensen says he doesn’t spend much time in Los Angeles. We learn that he, too, has a theory — on celebrity.
“I think that people’s exposure is in your realm of control. It’s largely just a function of your choices, and if you don’t want to be seen, they don’t see you.”

For those reasons I just don’t think they will last very much longer. I think that because he has spent so much time with her doing Jumper, he has developed a certain comfort level with her. Sure she might be a very nice girl. But when you have a seemingly lack of passion, someone who doesn’t share the same views as you when it comes to privacy and when your priorities just don’t seem to match up. How long can you really last? Seriously?

I do agree Katie to a certain level..I don’ t see them as any real couple but yes you are right they might have hit a comfort zone while working togther. So unless we have the facts and we don’t it’s best not to assume. He has said many times he isn’t a fan of LA and Hollywood you can tell he is uncomfortable being there. Hayden made a comment in the Glamour mag interview that the press that surrounded Sienna was just awful and that it ended up spilling over onto him. As for #201 Good god sorry to say this HOW OLD are you everything you just mentioned proves NOTHING..he is working with the woman..He even said they had to spend time together for the movie and also there wasn’t much time for much else but, since he lived in Toronto and she never had been there he took her around like sight seeing he did that with Sienna. Also the plane thing..GOD they were working the cast and crew were also on flights as well proves again nothing.. I looked for you. It really does say that. It’s hard to make out the edges of it but you barely can. But, that still doesn’t mean much. That he just felt sorry for her and doesn’t like the idea of it being on him. Yet…..the others and the fact he was busted kissing quite a few women over the past few years including his co-stars. But, not once Rachel. In the age of camera phones and mini digital cameras where ANYONE can take a picture from ANYWHERE at ANYTIME. Even while someone went out to get the mail. You can’t hide anywhere on this green earth anymore. Someone’s always watching and if someone is really wanting to they would’ve gotten them already. Whether they wanted it or not. You can’t have your guard up ALL the time while you’re out and about in public. It’s just not humanly possible. Hmmm. I don’t know. Lets see. A typical day in LA….
Hayden and I wake up in the morning in our bed with big smiles on our faces and without hesitation we make passionate love. Then we jump in the shower together and I show him what I can do with a bar of soap. Its a long shower. Then we get dressed and run off to get some breakfast at the local coffee shop but are careful not to hold hands or smile at one another. In fact, we go out of our way to frown at one another. Two hours later we’re back at the house going at it like rabbits on the beanbag chair on living room floor, laughing and having the time of our lives. Once we freshen up we jump in the car to run some errands at the Home Depot making sure to frown and scowl for the benefit of any would-be onlookers. Hayden sometimes finds it easier to walk ahead of me to avoid cracking up at my attempt to feign misery. I’m not quite as good an actor as he is after all. By 3:00, were home again, drapes drawn and licking honey off one another….
Personally, I think I could sacrifice PDA to live out a fantasy like that.
