Val Kilmer Replaces Will Arnett in ‘Knight Rider’
Thu, 07 February 2008 at 9:48 am
NBC has hired Val Kilmer to replace Will Arnett as the voice of KITT in the upcoming revival of Knight Rider.
Variety reports there’s a carmaker conflict. For almost a decade, Arnett lended his voice talents to General Motors — as the voice of GMC Trucks. NBC’s new “Knight,” however, is “played” by a Ford Mustang.
When GM found out about the Ford connection, it asked Arnett to pull out. Busted.
“I was very excited at the prospect of playing the part of KITT in the new Knight Rider movie,” Arnett said. “However, because of a long relationship with General Motors as the voice of GMC Trucks, I had to respectfully withdraw from the project.”
Sucks carburetor.
ARE YOU STILL going to watch Knight Rider with Val Kilmer as the voice of KITT?

I don’t care if Jesus himself voices that car. Down with Hollywood remaking everything and not having any original ideas!
*agrees with LL cool beans*

I also have to agree with LL cool beans.
Val Kilmer looks rough!
Agreed, LL cool beans. But they’re gonna make the film regardless. Kilmer seems so random. Why not Alec Baldwin? I loved him as the narrator for “The Royal Tenenbaums.”
I love Will Arnett. He’s a cool cat. He’s all proud of his being the GM trucks guy
Yes! I love Val Kilmer, and I love the original Knight Rider series. Awesome.

i meant excellent choice.
No, not watching anymore. I was only gonna watch for Will, anyway.
My 8 y.o. will be so happy that Knight Rider is back on. I’ve ordered him all the old episodes from Netflix. He thinks KITT rocks, and so do I. I love Val, but he’s not looking so good. I hope he’s alright.
didn’t Val Kilmer use to be hot? WTF happened?
