OlderVictoria Beckham Fashion Line in the Works?
Victoria Beckham goes shopping on the Upper East Side in New York City on Wednesday, just hours before her concert at Nassau Coliseum with the Spice Girls.
Posh picked up items from the Tom Ford and Donna Karan stores on Madison Avenue.
The Daily News is reporting that Victoria is itching to start her own Beckham fashion line. They question why she chose to star in those funny Marc Jacobs ads:
“But it’s easy to overlook what might be Victoria’s ulterior motive for starring in the campaign. According to British newspapers, her fashionista leanings are the true reason behind the girl group’s abruptly abandoning the last leg of its tour. After dabbling with jeans and eyewear, Beckham has apparently decided to become a full-time designer and is itching to start on a collection. Maybe she’ll ask Jacobs to pose in her first campaign.”

No I’m not in a rush to buy nor intend to buy Victoria Beckham brands. Who does she think she is, manipulating the people to spend their mundane paychecks on Bechkam’s merchandise to inflate their banks accounts even more, how rich can she get? Com”on , people, there’s hundreds of young fashion designers who work hard to finnish Fashion Design school, but they end up without a job or rejected, bcoz people like Victoria Beckham are using their husband’s name to give herself credit for being designer. Would she sell sunglasses and jeans if she was Victoria Adams?

Her designs will definately be immitations of other designers. She considers herself a fashion icon, but she only wear the most expensive of designer brands, never anything less. I think a true fashion icon is able to put simple, inexpensive clothes together and make them seem like they cost more and Rock It as if it is expensive…she cant do that, I bet you her line will be quite expensive…more money for her wallet, or maybe she will give to charity…NOT!
Indiesr - I am so with u there. She buys expensive clothes, and to be honest with u, she dosent do them justice. She is never relaxed but posing all the time. And as to the point of being a designer and would I buy her clothes, no, she is dispicable because there ARE young designers out there who wont have a chance because of THIS FREAK and her money and the designers that she knows. Every time I want to dislike her, she pops up on some video and when she is speaking she’s ADORABLE. Seriously. In pictures she looks a pig-nosed, stuck-up poser. I expected to loather her. But once you see her animated she’s completely charming.
duh, she wont be designing anything since she’s not a designer, she’s just a person trying to keep herself under the spotlight. She’ll just say she designs it when actually real designers do the job and she only approves what’s going to make it in the line or not, just like any other celebrity line. And no i wont be buying it since it will be extremely overpriced (like all the things she attaches her name to). She’s thinks she’ll be the next Tom Ford or something. So heres my note to you Vicky B. if you really want to make in the industry study for it, go to fashion school so you might learn what this job is about, or even better leave it to the pro, and stick w/ what you do best … which is NOTHING
