The Writers’ Strike is OVER

The Writers’ Strike is OVER

The writers’ strike is finally over. Party time!!!!!!!

“It’s over,” former Walt Disney chief executive Michael Eisner told CNBC. “[The major media companies and the Writers Guild of America] made the deal, they shook hands on the deal. It’s going on Saturday to the writers in general.”

The writers, however, could still reject the agreement, but the deal is definitely in motion.

“A deal has been made, and they’ll be back to work very soon,” Eisner added. “I know a deal’s been made. I know it’s over.”

YEAH, FINALLY!!!!

yes…i am so happy….finally grey’s anatomy, heroes, gossip girl, ugly betty…wow i am so happy =]

private practice, grey’s anatomy, heroes, ugly betty. battlestar galactica…

LOST is already into new episodes because they pushed back the season so far to begin with, but good to know there won’t be an interruption later.

more important than my shows, though, is the fact that this sets a precedent for the creators of internet material get a fair share in the profits of their efforts. this will benefit others far beyond the big media studios, I hope.

yesssssssss

Careful. I wouldn’t hold my breath. The strike MIGHT be over. The WGA members haven’t even seen the deal yet, therefore have not voted. The declaration of the strike being over is coming from the STUDIOS not the writers.
I HOPE it’s over, but I will celebrate when the deal is signed off on.

I was laid off because of the strike, so I know there have been sacrifices. But I also know that they won’t take a bad deal. I’m hoping they take it.

Can’t wait to watch new Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty!

Rather than just celebrating episodes, I’m celebrating the fact that these creative people that bring us these shows finally got their voices heard.

THE OC ALL THE WAY!
