OlderZac Efron Suits Up in Basketball Unform
Zac Efron sat down with Access Hollywood to chat about his upcoming film Seventeen, about an adult (Matthew Perry) who suddenly becomes a 17-year-old high school student (Zac). Here are some interview snippets:
On how close he was to not doing High School Musical 3: Oh gosh. No, seriously I am not going to be the guy who takes High School Musical away from all the fans. We owe everyone too much. High School Musical is a project I hold very close to my heart and I am going to complete the franchise.
On why he chose to star in Seventeen: It would have been really easy to go and play a kid. I could’ve done that in any movie. But playing a 37-year-old guy who is a kid is a little bit more interesting. It’s great when you have personal experience playing a character. For instance, High School Musical. It was pretty easy. I was playing a high school kid in his first love. Everyone has been there – I had just been there.”
On why he doesn’t talk about his personal life: “I think specifically relationships, it’s sacred ground. That’s something that needs to be between two people. Everyone else can get their noses out.”

I don’t know many guys like Zac, who want to keep their personal life personal and their love life private. Heck, I don’t know many celebrities who want to do that. He and Vanessa are a breath of fresh air. I think they have a better chance of lasting longer seeing as they found each other before either one was famous. Hope they both lead happy lives, together or apart. They deserve that much.

I’m rooting for this guy. That’s a really good role he’s going to be playing in Me and Orson Welles. Zac will succeed at whatever he does because he has his head on straight. Or I should say he’s “got his head in the game.”

It has nothing to do with attractive . . . well other than those gorgeous blue eyes, kissable mouth and sweet smile. If you haven’t followed his career, you couldn’t possible understand why we fans love him. It’s his big heart, and he never says bad things about anyone else. Even when they say bad things about him. He is a true gem!!
