I don’t like her…. and if she is going to spout off quotes like THAT then she needs to get off her *ss and adopt already.
She has more than enough to give so she needs to put her money where her mouth is.
Honestly, though, her kids look happy and she has plenty of money and apparently friends who support adoption so she has a support group. What’s the deal? What is she waiting for?

Adoption is not a “bug”. You adopt a child because you want to have and raise a child. Many celebrities themselves are adopted. i think 25% of Americans are adopted. All the major religions encourage adoptions. Gwyn should just stick to having her own bio. there’s nothing wrong with that.

I don’t understand why anyone would say Chris Martin seems racist. He’s a huge supporter of Make Trade Fair, an organization that works on behalf of workers in third-world countries. He travelled to Haiti, politically one of Earth’s true hell holes, to better understand the struggles of that country’s working poor. Seems like a lot of bother for a photo op.

Yes, people of means that want to give an orphan a home, should adopt, and they should consider adopting a child with special needs. They, are the only ones that can afford the medical treatments.

Cris Martin has been at the forefront of fighting poverty and ending world debt in African countries. They are very very supportive of Africa. Please research before attacking the Coldplay frontman - he is quite progressive and so is Gwyneth - she just is quieter about it than Madonna.

Like a person said earlier, you adopt because you want a child to become part of your family!
If these people want to take part in great humanitarian acts, why don’t they take action by helping FAMILIES stay together, by speaking out about mass massacres happening throughout the world or sending their millions to countries that can’t afford aids medication because big pharmaceutical companies refuse to lower their damn prices.
Or the food industry that throws away , daily, enough food to nourish all of Africa (see “We feed the world”)! Maybe people could actually feed their own children instead of being pressured into selling them off to rich Europeans and Americans.
For those of you that have heard of the Zoe’s Arch scandal …. what makes people think that a child will be happier just because his adoptive parents are rich and famous as opposed to living in his own country and culture? How many of these kids are REALLY orphans and would it not be morally better for them to be raised by family members (aunts, uncles etc) in their own country?
What kind of culture do we live in to think that because we’re richer, we have a right to sweep these children away from their culture AND EVEN BETTER YET, justify it under the false pretense of humanitarian acts to appease our conscious.

I hate when people talk about people they don’t know.. Chris Martin has always been at the forefront of issues - especially where Africa is concerned. In fact he has visited many countries on that continent and has done a lot of charity work.

oh this is stupid, if you’re gonna adopt then do it for a good reason not because it’s the latest trend or because you think it will change the world.

You can’t just adopt a kid because you want to do something ‘good’. It’s a huge undertaking and requires a lot from both family and child. it is also a long, strenuous procedure and it is definately not right for everyone. If you just wanna help children in need then become a sponsor for a child in another county or give money to a respected charity that has proven to be effective. do the research and don’t be naive…

I used to be a big fan of Gwyneth Paltrow’s…but lately, not so much.

She blames herself for the demise of her relationship with Brad Pitt. She said her “heart sort of broke forever that day” - even hinting at being the one who cheated. Then when Pitt and Aniston split, Paltrow gave her two cents worth in to the media (knowing Pitt would hear it) and said that Pitt and Aniston should not have spoken about each other and their relationship in public, stating “I learnt my lesson at 24.” Then Pitt got with Jolie, adopted kids…now suddenly Paltrow is speaking out about adopting (again knowing Pitt will hear it). While staying at the same hotel, Paltrow complained to the press, about the paparrazi, asking “Will the paparrazi go when they (Pitt and Jolie) go?”

Seems to me she regrets the Pitt break-up and wishes she was Jolie. Lots of people are on and on and on about Chinnifer Maniston’s ‘pain’….seems to me Paltrow is regretting too.

I hope Paltrow’s career gets better from now on. She is an amazing talent. She can act well, do faultless accents and is blessed to have a lovely family. I hope she gets to manage her career and family life well.

I think Gwyneth is the most beautiful, talented actress in today’s Hollywood. It’s sad how many people just cannot see this–shows how untalented many people are, and how much society’s judgement has changed on who’s good and who’s bad at acting. When someone can act without schooling, that’s just incredibly amazing. It’s in her blood. She won a Much deserved Oscar–albeit the media and many people don’t see she deserved it. She has beautiful, long naturally blonde hair–whom many are jealous of. Even older women can part their hair in the middle–there’s no rule set in stone that says women over the age of 30 cannot part their hair in the middle and keep it long. That’s what’s wrong with today’s society–people are such snooty ageists who do Nothing but criticise. There’s so much jealousy in the world today. It’s really shameful, to say the least.

Her faulty English? It’s her first language, for god’s sake. As for her pathetic excuse-she said she was misquoted because she had answered in Spanish. One itsy little problem. Well, two. First, the press conference where she claimed she had made the comments and answered in Spanish, was later revealed that she had, in fact, answered her questions in English. And two- another paper quoted her saying essentially the same thing(Americans suck, the English are superior)in another interview nearly a year earlier. Oops. Gwyneth isn’t only a stupid *****..she’s a stupid LYING *****.

Rebecca, you’re incorrect. Those remarks did not come from an interview conducted in Spanish and had nothing to do with her “faulty Spanish”. There was a Portuguese press conference but as one poster has already explained the comments did not come from a non-English interview/press conference:

“She wasn’t “misquoted” about Americans. She was requoted from previous interviews. She tried to blame it on a lost in translation thing, but the newspaper that quoted her explained they got her comments from UK interviews. The U.S. media never published the paper’s reply and continues to recycle the incorrect misquote explanation.”
