OlderReese Witherspoon: I Want My Kids Teased and Bullied

Reese, 31, was interviewed on Good Morning America earlier this morning to chat up her new film, Penelope. The film is about a girl named Penelope, who ends up with a pig’s nose and ears as the result of a family curse. Reese related herself and her kids to pig-nosed Penelope:
“We all sort of deal with that in our own childhood or raising children. I wouldn’t want my kids to miss out on any of that teasing and bullying. It makes you who you are–when you don’t make the soccer team and you can’t… The thing that drives me crazy today is everyone wins the award. Everyone wins an MVP. No. They’re not! I distinctly recall the two weeks of crying because I didn’t make the volleyball team. It made me interesting.
And what if Reese’s kids don’t make the soccer team one day?
“You know what?” Reese said. “You deal with. Hopefully, it helps kids figure out who they are. But it is tough as a parent. But that’s part of being a parent!”
Penelope opens on Friday, Feb. 29. That’s right, leap year day! It’s the first film to open on leap year day since 1980!

PENELOPE is the CRAPPIEST film I have ever seen !!!
If Penelope doesn’t make any money and she makes more movies that bomb, pretty soon she won’t have so much money. Then you will probably not see Jake with her any more. LOL.
The boy looks okay but the girl doesn’t look all that pretty. My God, what if she grows up fugly? How could Reese deal with that? A fugly daughter. Eeeeeeeeek! Call in the face lifters quick!

Reese is quite sensible, even if she didn’t phrase what she said in the best way. Teasing and bullying is a fact of life - havent you read the Berenstain Bears?? When you learn to stand up to the teasing and bullying, it stops. Some life skills are better learnt young when there’s still mum and dad to support you and guide you.
Who cares… she is dull and I can’t see the fascination with her. But to change the subject, can she get a BIGGER bag. She looks like a granny, didn’t the fashion mags say you need to be at least 5′8 to get away with a bag that big.

Ask her please if she has seen Jakeypoo Gyllenhaal. As far as I know they were last seen together and now he seems to have disappeared. Does she have any info about his whereabouts?
My my, I believe this picture of Reese makes me think of her looking like Kirsten Dunst with those glasses on. Is that why Jakeypoo is so attracted to her? Either way, I think she is uglier than sin and has no talent. I am sure this next film of her’s, Penelope will be a big flop as well. Hollyweird needs to retire this ***** now!

everything she said is stupid..i don’t get you people, the ones who agreed with her. i wouldn’t want my kids to be bullyed or teased..in order to become “interesting”….i would encourage them to learn things, read books, apreciate what they have..make their own decisions and assume the consequences of their acts..in order to become interesting people. not making the volleyball team or being dissapointed happens sooner or later in one’s life..the point of it all is how you manage to get through..
coming from eastern europe, and having different culture and way of seeing life, i simply can’t understand how a shallow, self sufficient dull woman like reese witherspoon can be a role model for some people. she is more than simple minded
reese witherspoon is my fav actress. she is a great actress.i want to be just like her when i grow up. reese does so much for her family and others. i am reese witherspoon biggest fan.
I think she means well…but why would she want her kids to be bullied? She’s obviously never encountered any teasing or anything, or she wouldn’t wish it on her kids. It doesn’t you a ’stronger person’. What makes you a ’stronger person’ is a good upbringing. Bullying is not normal; we don’t have to have bullying. If we’re depending on it to bring up kids, that’s awful.

IfReese Witherspoon wants her kids to be tormented, she deserves one of her kids pulling a Columbine - starting with her, then drive the Ferrari to school to pull the rest of the stunt.
