OlderBritney Brings About New Paparazzi Law
A bra-less Britney Spears shops at Miss Sixty with her mom Lynne on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
According to Access Hollywood, a new law is being proposed to protect Britney from the paparazzi.
“[It cost] $25,000 dollars to take an ambulance with Britney Spears to the hospital,” Councilman Dennis Zine said. “Tax payers paid for that. It is not going to be called the ‘Britney Spears Law,’ I am not going to give her credit for that because it is not about Britney Spears, it’s about the paparazzi violating everybody else’s rights, freedoms, and privileges.”
Added Zine, “What the paparazzi have done is developed a lawless society where the rules don’t apply — on the wrong side of the street, jumping out of cars at the red lights, swarming the car, you don’t do that… “If we think back a few years, Princess Diana was driving down the road, paparazzi chasing. A crash occurred, Princess Diana died. I don’t want to see that happen here in Los Angeles.”

Obviously the LA county taxpayers need to get their heads together- in most communities the ambulance/rescue company bills the patient’s insurance company and what the insurance doesn’t pay the patient is liable for.

The paps are taking this way to far, and there should definatly be a law against them. When someone dies here in the US because of paps (like in princess dianas situation) then ppl will know how violating paparazzi is. I think that one of the reasons celebrities, like britney, have become wild is because they are getting sick and tired with the paparazzi. I like looking at some paparazzi pics, but there should be swarms of photographers chasing a celeb. Its not right, and i think that its a good idea that they limit paparazzi a lil more.

BRITNEY SPEARS turned dance teacher for a group of five-year-old children on Monday (11Feb08) when she paid a visit to Hollywood’s Millennium Dance Complex.
The pop star, 26, put her personal troubles behind her and decided to surprise the kids by teaching them dance routines to songs including Madonna’s Material Girl and True Blue.
Robert Baker, the co-owner of Millennium dance studios, was impressed with the way an upbeat Spears interacted with the children and led the class wearing “her favourite brown cowboy boots, fishnet stockings, a red short skirt, and a
bluish greenish top that hangs down past her skirt”.
He recalls, “She comes in, she winds them up, and then tells them, ‘I guess I have to introduce myself to you guys!’
“She worked out this great little routine for them, they were dancing all over the place, she had them dancing in a circle like a choo-choo train. The kids loved it - they are having a ball right now. And Britney - she’s just drinking it up. She’s totally enjoying herself. It’s an amazing class - she and the kids are certainly enjoying the process.”
And Spears is reportedly thinking of making it a regular occurrence. Baker adds, “Britney’s telling me that she likes this so much that she’s thinking about making it a regular thing, possibly every other week. She loves to interact with the kids, and she feels that it’s important to give back to the dance community.”
The Toxic singer has been a regular visitor to the Millennium Dance Complex in the last few days following her release from a Los Angeles psychiatric hospital.
Britney has paparazzi withdrawal symptoms. It’s not the only fault of the photogs, she invites them too. Pop princesses do not leave their mansion to use public rest rooms, nor go shopping for usless things at gas stations, nor decide to drive around aumlessly past midnight. regular folks do not do that either.

There should have been a law made after Diana died. There wasn’t. But now the paps are costing the tax payers money? The law will probably go into effect by Friday.

just because this council guy says he wants a city ordinance barring the paparazzi from tormenting people doesn’t mean it will get passed or enforced. Bet the ACLU would try to challenge it in court anyway.

the law is that papparazzi cannot come within 10 feet of a celebrity.. and stop in the middle of the road and start taking pictures of her in the car.. in the middle of the damn day on a friggin high way!

I really am not a fan of Britney, but I do appreciate her music, she has the status of Madonna in the mid-80s. She’s well-known, whether she’s hated or liked. She has the singing voice I like, just like Madonna in her younger days. I do not care about her personal life, but since it’s been so crazy lately…, I kind of feel bad for her as a human being. I guess the bad things started to happen ’cause she got married too early and had children so soon. I would love to see the paparazzi law or whatever to pass though. I saw Linds Lohan the other day in Beverly Hills and I thought I (not LL) would get killed- so many paparazzis were running towards me and I was like, “what the $#@!%” And no, I didn’t mean to see LL on purpose, I was simply walking towards the Chanel and all of sudden ppl and paparazzi were running like crazy shouting LL and stuff. I saw her in a car- she looked exactly like the picture, may be a bit more prettier in person. She looked very disturbed as usual.

They should definitely have laws against invading privacy. Its too much. There has to be limits. Red carpets, movie previews, interview, etc…they should and can take pictures but NOT when they’re home with their family. Its disgusting how many paparazzi surround some of these stars when they’re just ordering at the drive thru, pour gas, picking up their kids from school, take their kids to the park or around the house 24/7. They should definitely pass the law and have distance restrictions.

Well I find no need to be out bashing anyone, I understand Britney has issues and has had very tasteless photos taken ….. but the caption here ” Britney bra-less” is unnecessary to say the least, I mean come on! She is wearing a top that other women wear or similar and are meant to be worn Bra less, yet we don’t bash them, for once I think she is tastefully dressed. As a matter of fact most Guys and some women would think it rather attractive. I personally don’t like Britney but not because she has been photographed getting out of a car wearing no underwear but rather because I feel she has cast aside her children for the night and party life. we bash these young stars but I think some of the blame falls on mom and dad for focusing so much on their stardom and failing to focus on teaching them the basic moral and mature character needed to make good sound decisions and choices in this life. Truthfully the only difference between them and most others going down the same road is they are in the spot light and opened up to public opinion. I wonder what some of you do and nobody knows just because there isn’t some one standing by with a camera to snap that picture at the right moment. I would hope we had better things to do than bash someone who obviously has some serious issues and needs help, all we do is add insult to injury when we do this. I would hope that some day when your down that strangers don’t point the finger at you and proclaim that according to their standards your trash ….
