Gee, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button will be shown on Dec. 19, while Jen’s movie He’s Just Not That Into You will be shown a week later on Christmas Day. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Jen, who hasn’t had a movie since TBU, will whip her ex’s ass* and beat him at the box office with Benjamin making ohh, let’s say $4m and her movie making $21m? That would be such a vindication for Jen!

Anyone know how come they didn’t go to NAACP awards. Did they send word?

That movie will make money and it will again got to show that anustain CANNOT open a movie on her own. She’s just ONE of a cast of 10 actors. Kinda like Friends all over again. Another romantic comedy for her. How wonderful.

So Michele what is the reason that the studios are releasing Jen’s other movies with nonentities like Steve Zahn and Aaron Eckhart in the summer? It means they know her movies don’t cost that much to make and yet make bucko bucks!

Brad and Angeilina regardless of how well there films do are MOVIE STARS. Angie could retire today and she would already be a respected and accomplished . Angie talent is what will keep her working for as long as she see fit (see Streep). I don’t see Angie having to co star with a dog (unless she wanted to do it lmao) in the near future. Same goes for Brad. Brad and Angie are(if they are not already) screen legends and there movies will live on. For example, Fight Club was a huge flop for Brad- ten years later the movie is considered to be a masterpeice, the same can not be said for Along Came Polly. Your idol will NEVER be considered to be A MOVIE STAR, no matter how well her films do because of her male leads , no matter how many people choice awards she goes to receive , she will always be a television star. Marley and Me can open with 100 million and that would NOT be because Aniston was in it, it will be because of the dog and wilson, everyone loves a feel good movie right around christmas. Brad and Angie success is there family not box office.

Man this thread is way dead. Aniston appeals to immature imbecils. Jolie & Pitt attract are more desirable demo.

No they are not even. Not by a mile.
One is a humanitarian ( an acclaim one), a good mother, a good partner, a great actress and a smart and inteligent person, while the other is NOT.

Just a note that though Fight Club made lttle at the Box Office, it has made a fortune since through Video/DVD sales. It is a cult classic and favorite around the world. EVERY living male owns at least one copy. I exaggerate, but not by much. The gay community regularly pleasures itself to this movie ( as well as another fave, Troy - better known as The Most Lusted After Buttocks On Screen ). Lots of worn out tapes and hence repeat biz.

As for upcoming movies, Benjamin Button is not some mindless rom-com. It’s a rather odd and unique film with, I expect, a rather limited audience. I am sure both Cate Blanchett, Pitt, and its director David Fincher (also the Fight Club director) were well aware of its limited potential BO when they made it. None of these three limit themselves to mindless cr@p chasing box office dollars.

I am sure that He’s Just Not Into You will appeal to the masses hoping for mindless entertainment during the holidays in a way that Benjamin Button won’t. BB is not a feel good movie. It’s rather sad. Add to that the fact that HJNIY has a lot of popular and/or respected stars so it will probably draw a big audience for that reason alone - Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Connelly just for two names alone.

I just don’t understand why Aniston is still wasting her time on these
fluff movies. The best move she made in her quest for a more serious career as an actor was The Good Girl. Not a great movie but an interesting and welcome movie by critics. For her personally, not a great performance or a great acting stretch but a very nice beginning to a more serious body of work. It garnered her lots of attention and kudos for the change of pace it offered and a quiet performance that was a refreshing change for her. It’s a shame she didn’t continue n that vein. I really think Pitt encouraged her to do The Good Girl because her tastes always seem more big movie, big role, more tried and rehashed script. Pitt’s the one who has more eclectic and interesting tastes. He’s the adventurous one.

In fact, Pitt developed “their” production company in part to find roles for Aniston. Something she never took advantage of when she easily could have. The fact that since their break up she hasn’t done much, if anything, to find herself good roles in smaller, better movies tells me that she was never really interested in serious acting. She just wants to be the STAR. Those kind of roles in good movies are just not there for her level of talent and, let’s face it, her lack of movie star looks.

I’ve always thought that she needs a real tough life coach to guide her. She seems inert on her own - maybe it’s all her self admitted neuroses, sheer laziness or just lack of know-how. But with her financial assets and career contacts I am at a total loss as to why she isn’t developing small film projects like Pitt is doing with his small movies (Running with Scissors and the critical fave Life of a Dog - Molly Shannon got raves for that role). There are a million small film screenplays out there waiting to be developed - she doesn’t even need funding to start - some of these films shoot for as little as under $5 million or in many cases way less. A few of those and film backers will take note and start financing her films. There seems to be nothing holding her back except herself.

As an aside, she might even find a compatible love interest in the process. As we all know, some of the best pairings arise out of the workplace.

She’s just getting too old for all this self-inflicted pain.

So Ok ..Melissa….with Jen’s ****** movies she makes money..Alright..Well i hope that she can snuggle up with her Millions..Eat with it..Sleep with it..Shower with it..Cause that is all she has…But Angie has Brad and her kids..Can you really compare both?..If you do you’re an idiot…

I will not watch Oscar this year, no Brad & Ange doesn’t have any appeal. Brad & Ange sparks the imagination of people specially the fans all over the world. I would see how people will react when they announce that they are pregnant again. It will be pandemonium. Tabloids will be hunting them down & fans will be dancing with glee. OMG, can’t wait for the announcement.
BBL. Will have family dinner, my middle child is leaving for N.C. tonight, a job relocation & to be with his fiance. He will be on the road for 9 hours with heavy loads. I told him to call home once he gets to his destination. He will get married in Sept. this year & we are all going to attend except my daughter & son in law who are in Germany right now. Good news, my daughter is 2 months pregnant. She will have the baby in Germany, we will fly there next year, we can’t this year. her due date is the same date as my son’s wedding. I’m excited hope to have a g-daughter this time, we already have 2 g-sons.God bless you all the fans & the Jolie-Pitt’s. I miss them. I hope, tomorrow will bring new pictures of the family.
