We are becoming a phylosophy thread but fine, this is sooo much more interesting than analysing facial expressions on pap photos. :)

I think I may be alone with my opinion, but I think Orlando is a very good actor. He wasn’t brilliant in everything he did, but every actor has a movie or two where they fail to hit the spot. I think OB didn’t get many challenging roles. In the LOTR trilogy he just had to be pretty and loyal, he did that fine. In Troy he had to be pretty and lame and he did that fine. In POTC he had to be handsome and waterproof :) and his character had just a minor development but I think he managed to do that. But in all these roles he was just supporting more experienced actors and his face was used to sell merchandise.

I think he did fine in KOH and was a bit stiff but promising in Etown. Calcium Kid was great though and I loved Haven. I think he’s been learning a lot from his collegues in the theatre as a friend of mine saw him in In celebration and she thought he was great (she’s 50 so no screaming teen fan), and I give credit to her words. Finally, I think he did great in the Extras episode he did and I hope he will get more comedy roles like that. Every actor needs challenging roles and so does he.

As for the four rules @205, yes, one can expect all these things being the part of fame, but no one can be obliged to like it. Even the Olsen twins said how they hate to have their pictures taken outside events and they just love attention. I think it is normal. Yes, they are selling an image but they are selling a public image. You know, the one on the red carpet, with make-up, designer clothes, etc. No one wants to have their skin problems, overweight or bad hair days printed on a cover of some bs paper. It is only natural, isn’t it? As for me, I don’t even want to see that, because it is definitely none of my business. Believe me, if I see them only photoshopped to masks, I will stil be aware of the fact that they too are only people. I don’t need to see their buttcrack to know that.

I don’t think anyone has the right to intrude another’s private life and to say, that you have the right because you made them rich, is ridiculous. And please, drop the starving African children issue, will you? If you’re so worried about them, spend the money on charity instead of movie tickets, CDs, DVDs and tabloids yourself, and don’t tell others what to do with the money they’ve worked for. Even if you think they didn’t deserve it. And I say that to everyone, including me! :D

I forgot what else I had to say, I’ll come back when I remember. :D

Walking on a public street is not private. Celebrities have no right to not be photographed or talked about if they are in a public setting that’s why there are no laws preventing what the paparazzi do. You don’t have to be a celebrity to be a successful actor. Celebrity is something that is pursued and you have to take the good with the bad. Orlando actively pursued fame and you can’t whine about leaving him alone now that he’s experiencing that downside. The bad stuff was going to come sooner or later considering he’s been coasting on hype for a long time. The guy has no talent and likes to date vapid little tarts. Don’t get mad because people make him out to be the joke that he is.

Celebrity life is a choice and with that choice comes a lot of good and a little bad. If it wasn’t so great, why is fame something everyone strives for?
It is a choice to live in places where they might be photographed say getting a coffee, when they could live anywhere. If it is so important to be anonymous live elsewhere and focus on your work like many reputable people do.
Those who want to be glorified and worshipped put themselves in that position and then have the nerve to complain.

Such a tough life…

@212, walking on a public street is not private, the inside of the car IS.
Walking out of a restaurant is not private, dining inside IS.
If paps would only respect that little slice of their lives I would be satisfied. But I remember Britney being photographed on her balcony from a treetop perhaps, and those things should not be allowed.

@213 pray, please school me on how to be an actor w/o being a celebrity. You know, their contracts tell them what public events they are obliged to attend. Their agents want to sell their image.

btw I never heard OB complain about the life he has, but feel free to educate me to see the error in my ways. Give me the links to intervews where he says “poor me”, cause the ones I seem to remember are the ones where he says how lucky he is. And I’m not a fan, I just like the guy.

But I still think he should let the lady get in the car first. :D

LOL at who’s watching 2…Is this anything like “who’s talking 2″…it really wasn’t as good as the first. Are you the talking baby?

So spit it, mate..whats the deal-e-o…Are you saying buddha boy is being investigated or he is pressing charges about something? Who would be the criminal in this case?
You said he filed a charge?

ooh, riddle me back..I can’t wait

Jaded

The inside of a car is not private unless it’s in on your personal property. If I’m walking thru a parking lot and look into someone’s car and see what they are doing inside they can’t sue me for invasion of privacy.

Dining inside a restaurant is not private if it was you wouldn’t be surrounded by people who are sitting right next to you and can hear every word of your conversation.

There are plenty of actors who we know nothing about. Agents are interested in getting work for actors not publicity that’s the publicists job and believe or not there are some actors without publicists. They want to act, they don’t want to be famous. You know when your watching a movie and you see an actor that you recognize, they’ve been a few movies but don’t know anything about them? They’re non-celebrity actors.

OB complains with his behavior he rarely says anything that isn’t blandly rehearsed.

Miranda a lady? She’s a *****.

Maybe Agent 195 is back. :)

woah @209 is certifiable
talking in riddles cannot cover the fact that the comment is utter nonsense
besides if what wackjob is referring to is the crash i think i saw the police report on the tmz tv show months ago

you know if the selfrighteous gassing on this board could be harnessed we could stop the search for alternative fuel sources

not to mention the ridiculous oobadooba correcting a correct bible quote from matthew chapter 7 verse 1 because it comes from the king james version and not whatever version she is using
http://www.bartleby.com/108/40/7.html

out of kindness we pretend not to notice that oobadooba contradicts herself by saying in one line that buddhists will not care about commandments and in the next saying that miranda and orlando have supposedly already broken three
too bad her only source for all this sin is internet gossip

Deal With It, maybe it isn’t legally private territory but it is in some other way, I mean, you do know, that peeking into others’ cars is bad manners, right? Sorry if I have problems explaining what I mean, English is not my mother tongue. :)

You’re right about the agent stuff too, I got mixed up. However, I’d like to remind you that OB started his carreer with LOTR and we all knew there’d be a lot of merchandise connected to it which required plenty PR to sell properly. :) Maybe he could have gone back to being an actor, I have no idea if he wanted it or not, but then he signed to do a Disney trilogy - and wouldn’t you? No wonder he got sold. Disney PR is aggressive, they made the whole world believe they invented Winnie-the-Pooh. :-/

I feel like I am a babysitter on a playground with the most unpopular child and find myself defending him although it was never my intention. :)

I don’t like Miranda, I have seen prettier things stuck on the soles of my shoes, but every woman is entitled to be called a lady until proven otherwise. I don’t consider internet gossip to be evidence.

He sits amongst his girlfriends panties, puffing on a spilf, reminiscing about his glory days and laughing at you all.

See now how the Nepal trip was a PR remedy.

What a douche!

Nah, no one is really envious of these two. She’s okay looking at best. He liked her because she was easy and stupid-and she follows him around. She has nice legs. okay, give her that much. Face? see better everyday. Nothing blow away there. These two aren’t getting any attention in the US press aside from Jared here. I wonder what these two will do with themselves when they find out no one is buying what they’re selling any more?

i know actors r so shallow only dating those super model kind. i used to like leo d. but why is he only going for super model?

Miranda hasn’t done anything wrong so I don’t see the point in people hating her or “disliking” if hate is such a strong word. People usually hate other People especially girls hating other girls because their envious, in this case probably, since Miranda is so beautiful and she is rising in her career as model I can see why.

Just please stop comparing her and Kate, you wouldn’t like it if your bf’s friends consistently compared you to his ex, saying his ex was way hotter or way more of a “lady”.

Leave them in peace, they’re happy, end of story.
