Hey Jake is PROBABLY a nice guy, but since we don’t really know him in the flesh, we can’t be certain. His media persona is of a nice, normal, upper class American guy who laughs a lot and has a good sense of humor. He is a good actor, but not great. His best performances have been in The Good Girl and in October Sky. Brokeback was good but not quite as good as those. His other performances are just so so. What is odd about him is that at his age instead of dating women younger who could mother his children he chooses to date an older woman who already has kids. Inquiring minds ask WHY?
There´s no answer, Don. For example, I´ve never understood cause Antonio Banderas married to Melanie Griffith.

Edgar aka Hal, Don, Jannie, etc, etc. why are you so obsessed with Jake? Why does it matter to you so much why Jake is with Reese or why he does things. Really does it make any difference in your own life? My guess is no and you are just want everyone to question every move Jake makes. Sorry some of us have our own lives and just like Jake as an actor. Everyone has an opinion and yours is not the only one. I think Jake is a great actor and has proved that to me in October Sky, Donnie Darko, The Good Girl, Moonlight Mile, Jarhead, Brokeback and Zodiac.

Dear “me”; Well what in hell are YOU doing on this site if you are not fascinated by Jake? Are you here to provide useful information to the world about him? You have a nerve to post on a site filled with “I love Jake; I hate Jake; I dream of Jake, etc.” kinds of messages and then claim you have no interest in him. Come off it, silly you (me) and stop calling the kettle black. If you aren’t interested in him then bug off.
Reese appeared on Leno and there are comments on her appearance on HER blog. But one can say here that she came off as affected and artificial and UN-genuine. Whatever may have been wrong with Kirsten Dunst, she appears more real and genuine in her appearances than does Reese.
Dear ME: Another little bit for you. You really aren’t very bright and have nothing of interest to say about anything. The fact that you like this performance or that performance doesn’t mean sh*t to anyone else. I am glad you have a life; so do I. But I can also chatter when I want about a celebrity without worrying what you or anyone else thinks about it in the slightest. You take yourself and these chatter sites too seriously. If you had a lighter touch you might have more fun with things. No imagination; just blind devotion and worship??? LOL. Oh Edgar, please. I never said I didn’t have an interest in Jake. However, unlike you, I don’t constantly repost about Jake’s wherabouts, why he is with Reese, etc. I said I was here because I think Jake is a great actor. I don’t have a blind worship or devotion to anyone. You seem to be the one taking it all seriously, not me. I was just wondering why you care so much about why Jake is with Reese, about how much his house is, among other things. I am allowed my opinion as much as you are.
Edgar, I don´t like Jake and Reese together cause I think they don´´t do a good couple (she has two kids, she is bossy, etc.). Wtv, They are adult and living as way they wanted.
But it´s impossible to say Kirsten is more genuine than Reese.
Come on, Kirsten has serious problems with drugs if she doesn´t take care herself her career goes down. In my opinion, even being boring, Reese has more brain and drives better her life.
Dear ME: If you think Jake is a “great actor” I’d say you are guilty of blind devotion. Very blind. He is a good actor, very good at times, but hardly great. Great should be reserved for Brando, Gielgud, Ledger (potentially), and the like. NOT Jakeypoo.
Well, Edgar we definitely disagree about Jake’s acting and blind devotion.
I like calling celebs names that fit them better than their actual names. For example I call Emma Watson, En*ma Watson (JJ won’t let me put in all the letters) because of the unintelligibility of her accent. I think Jake should probably be called Jerk. Like in Jerky Gyllenhaal. I bet he is more Jerky than Jakey in real life. LOL.
Jake Gyllenhaal don’t have any kind of character. He betray the people behind them. He works for weapons Mafia. I don’t like Tom Cruise too. He is another doll fo USA government. He came to Germany to make a film about the General whose attempted Adolf Hitler life during 2° World War. Nowadays Germany has a problem with Bush american ministery because they put presure on Germany to go in South Afganistan to help the american soldiers and Canadian to try to dominate and have the control the drug Mafia. Probably the drugs Mafia over there is domineted from Russian Mafia…and USA didn’t have success when they tryed because lor of soldiers died!

I will try to explain in my bad English…There are one think that I hate absolutaly…It is the what the film and television industry are doing intensive way at present . They manipulate the people! USA is a country where the criminals dominate and the most of actors and actresses of these industry work for the criminals.
Jake Gyllenhaal is one of them. We can observe that he is a men without character because he is lover of Reese Witherspoon lot of years and probable Ryan Phillippe didn’t know when he was with Reese Witherspoon or he was trying to ignore. In Golden Globes 2006 Reese Witherspoon used the same dress of Kirsten Dunst, the same hairstyle and the same shoes and Ryan Phillippe was besides her at this time. We can observe that their parents didn’t teach to him any kind of principle . To be lover of Reese Witherspoon was the beginnig of way of corruption that he is following. In the film Jarhead a very big weapons enterprise was the lobby . Brokeback Mountains was the homosexual lobby…Hollywood would like fight against pornographyc film industry whose have more profit as the Hollywood films and few cost. Pornographyc industry is very dangers because pornography come from slaves market. Pornography isn’t sex industry! Pornography is a maket od SLAVES. I am afraid that the children will be the maily victim of Hollywood in future. It is because I am watching what Jake Gyllenhaal, Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, Madona, Tom Cruise etc… are doing.

You must be careful. It isn’t only in Hollywood industry that the people are being manipulate in USA. There are another places too. There are amusement parks whose the army and take young people to go in army. There are the schools etc… If you agree with this sistem latter you can’t complain when worse things happen in your country. Look at New Orleans and the lot of soldiers whose are died in Irak and Alfganistan at present. USA is an abandon country because your people resign yourself to the situation.
V, you scare me when you talk like that, but you are probably right in some things, only thing that i know about mafia in Hollywood, is Frank Sinatra and Sami Davis jr. case, when they shoot Ocean elleven. But Jake, he is too boyish for something like that, he is beginer, he is just cute kid with lots of monay and jewes/swedesh heritage.

V, you said that Jake was Reese lover for years, when they started, in kindergarden!!! We all know and probablly you to, that Jake was been romanticlly envolved with Kirsten Dunst, and that relationship lasted for almost three years, just look their sites, there are lot of pictures. Reese in that time was just good wife and mother, nothing else, not even good actress (sorry i dont like her movies), but in last several ocasions, she look better than ever, probablly because of Jake.

He’s an experience professional from a professional family. And he’s close to La Witherspoonful who is another big “operator” in Hollyweird. “Cute kid” my eye!!!
