The 19-year-old singer/actress is in the middle of filming her new movie, Will, and working on her sophomore album, slated for a June 24th release.
Here’s a recent write-up on Will from Kansas City’s Camp: “Like his hit indie musical Camp, gay filmmaker Todd Graff’s latest project, Will, is destined to have audiences singing along in their seats. The tuneful coming-of-age story concerns a high school misfit and a popular girl bonding over their mutual obsession with music. Together they form a rock group to compete in a battle of the bands. Set to star now-grown-up Stepmom kid Liam Aiken and High School Musical sensation Vanessa Anne Hudgens, the film will also feature Lisa Kudrow as Aiken’s mother. Meanwhile, David Bowie is also in talks to join the cast. Look to 2009 for an eventual release, one with – presumably – far fewer teenagers singing Sondheim songs than were found in Camp.”

Hope so too, narf!! Sorry to hear you don’t have a longer vacay too. I’ve always thought it was ridiculous that here in New England, we have winter and spring vacations, but honestly, they are perfectly timed; we either need to shut down cause everyone is sick, or because everyone needs a bread from school or each other!!
I was away overnight, and I was so surprised to see another Vanessa thread today!! Isn’t it surprising though, that no one has laid eyes on Zac in London or the Isle of Man, especially since he has lots of fans there too??

I have been checking online newspapers over here,but there hasn’t been any mention of Zac anywhere.
I think the London paps are only interested in hanging around nightclubs etc. other than that its pretty much free of paps.
Would think there is a better chance of there being pics of Zac when he gets to the Isle of Man,they do have an online newspaper…its got to be big news somewhere as small as that when someone like Zac Efron arrives.!!!!

This new ‘WILL’ film sounds like HSM all over again boy falls for girl, they sing dance etc and they fall in love boring!
Can’t wait for Ashley’s ‘Picture This’though it is a completely different plot!

Funny you should ask, shannon! We started back here in October, defending Vanessa after the photo broke. Our group grew, but a few decided to break off and start a new website that would be positive without haters comments. The original group of 12, Zanessa’s Angels as we called ourselves first, continues to check in here, to keep people informed and realistic, and to defend them from people who are critical and mean. And we do this, in spite of all of us having very busy lives, because we believe in their talent, and their desire to maintain their personal lives. We have found great people here, including wonderful new friends. We are of all ages, so we have lots of different perspective on issues. That’s it, pretty much!!
But to answer your question, shannon, no, I’m not part of that group. But they were part of us not long ago…..
#190 Again the only similarities between this movie and “HSM” is that it’s about people high school and Vanessa Hudgens is in it. “Will” is NOT I repeat NOT a musical. It’s about characters who love music yes but the characters don’t spontaneously burst into song and dance.
I’m going to give myself a concussion if I keep beating my head against the wall on this issue because I’ve ruined enough pillows softening the blows. So this is the last time I’m going to say this. This movie is much more in the vein of “School of Rock.

I keep wondering how different it’s going to be to see it in theaters, but I really hope they keep the fun, campy look HSM 1 & 2 had! And I’d really like it to just have all the original characters in it, but I guess they will be adding new ones.

just wanted to say hi to everybody and to let you all know that i go just by tealeaf and not pat rector/tealeaf.
it was so good to see nessa, she looks so good now and rested. thanx jared for the pics.
now in the same breath, i hate that the paps do bother her so much to the point that it becomes dangerous at times and also that it takes away from her privacy. that is when they over do it. it is a privilege that we abuse, and i am so guilty, to want to see them. i do miss seeing zanessa.
I am so happy for v’s movie and album can’t wait. also, can’t wait for zac’s movie. be glad to see zac and vanessa once again, but also would like for them to have their private time as it should be.
ashley and lucas has movies as well can’t wait for.
