Jamie Lynn’s Baby Bump is Clear as Day

I think Jamie is a total butthead. I mean,shes only sixteen! I kno other sixteen year olds have gotten pregnat though, but you vant do that when your famous. I mean she also had a good career and getting pregnant and working on a kids show, dosent make her a good role model. I mean and it dosent help enough that her family sucks cause of Britney. I give her props though for admitting her mistake, though. I mean I also think it was wrong for Vanessa to take naked shots but still, she is older and they were not supposed to be displayed. Still wrong though. I mean also , wat is the big deal about Ashley so what if she got a nose job, wat is the big problem. She said it was for medical purpose,if you got a nose job for medical reasons would you want people saying all this crap about you.

She looks really really bad. She may be having a hard pregnancy, but I don’t feel very sympathetic - if you’re “mature” enough at 16 to have sex, you have to deal with the consequences.

I find it slightly ironic that her parents are in California trying to “save” Britney who is an adult, but their 16-year-old is alone in Louisiana.

It shocks and saddens me how hateful some people are. I’m sure all of you are perfect and you never make a single mistake. And I’d bet my life on the fact that your lives are wonderful and fulfilling, because we all know it’s the pathetic losers that need to bash other people to make themselves feel better, aye?

As narf (#31) stated, who’s to say they didn’t use birth control? Even if you use whatever method (or even more than one) correctly, there’s still a small risk of becoming pregnant. And any girl who’s ever been on the pill knows how easily you sometimes forget to take one, or how sickness may just cause it not to function.

However, I don’t agree with the “so what she’s 16 and pregnant, it’s not a big deal” comments. It IS a big deal, because it’s simply too young. The fact that it happens to a lot of girls who fail to take care of themselves is not an excuse. Nobody should have children before they’re ready, and NOBODY is ready at that age. You need to live a little before having a baby, because your life as you know it will be gone for at least 18 years. But I applaud Jamie (and all the anonymous teen moms) for being responsible and handling this with such maturity. She could have just quietly gotten an abortion. I wonder what all those haters would be saying then. The poor girl can’t win, and it’s not fair. Just give her a break.

But seriously, what’s the big deal with the “age gap”? They’re two years apart, not 20. And PUH-lease, to blame an 18-year-old BOY (yes, boy, not man, because that is a joke) for something that clearly requires two people is just as unfair as bashing Jamie.

I really wish her the best, and just like I’m still hoping Britney will get her life back on track, I hope Jamie will find her way. God bless.

Are you people for real? I can not believe some of the comments left here. In 1985 I got pregnant 3 months before my 17th birthday. I had my son in Jan. 1986. Not only did I become a mother, but went to the prom and I also graduate in the top 10% of my high school graduating class of 1986. I live in a town where our school system rates within the top 50% nationally of all schools for academics and students who achieve college degrees. My boyfriend also graduated from the same school. Not some back woods town where education is an option. I opted not to go to college as originally planned instead choosing to raise my son. My boyfriend at the time, who is 2yrs older, was in the Marine Corps and we didn’t know I was pregnant until I was more than half way through my first trimester. See, GUESS WHAT AMERICA - BC PILLS ARE NOT 100% EFFECTIVE. I was old enough to make the decision to take them daily, then I was old enough to make my decision about my unborn child. After numerous testing, to confirm there weren’t any apparent birth defects from the BC, I m made MY decision. With or without my boyfriends assistance, I was keeping MY baby. Long story short, my son is now 22 graduated from the same high school and had many of our teachers. He is soon to be graduating with a BA and already hired to work at a popular Radio Station in NYC effective 9/08, I have a Master’s Degree, an excellent job, 2 homes and yes I’m still with my boyfriend after 24 years who btw has a BA and owns his own business. We still live in this small town approx. 1 mile in either direction from from both, our parents and childhood homes. So before you continue to blast and critize Jamie Lynn, walk a mile in her shoes. It wasn’t easy for me, except I didn’t have media scrutiny, and it won’t be easy for her. Luckily/hopefully, she has a good support system. I commend her for her ability to make these life altering decisions at such an age. The bottom line, her life is her’s to live, you may not like it but how dare you say, “she should be ashamed”. Look at yourself, you should be ashamed to wish her any less than the best of luck.

the simple truth is that more 16 year olds have had sex than haven’t had sex. i bet most of the people reading this did the same thing. sometimes it does result in pregnancy. so, when a girl that has sex gets pregnant, it makes her a ****? but when she doesn’t get pregnant, there is no “evidence” that she had sex, so we can all just pretend it doesn’t happen? wow, females really still have a long way to go, unfortunately. btw, just because she happened to get pregnant, it should have nothing to do with her show. like all these girls want to get pregnant now because of her. whatever, that’s just dumb. my kids love her show, and they know the difference between fantasy and reality.

Yours is one of the rare success stories and, obviously, you (both) had parents who supported and walked beside you on your journey? Unfortunately, many young people today do not have that type of support system….a lot of wisdom gleaned by looking around the “cities” of America!

Yes, the girls who often become pregnant at an early age are those who are permitted to date older boys (two years plus) prior to reaching maturity!

what is remotely responsible or praiseworthy about her decision to go ahead with the pregnancy and raise the kid?
there are so many couples who are ready and willing to become parents. i am in my late 30’s and have three little ones, and everyday i am shocked at how difficult it it to consciously parent in this society. it really is not something that most american teenagers are capable of doing. i think it is a terrible decision, and a terrible model for her fans.
and to go and get a puppy a few months before she is going to have a baby to take care of, just shows how clueless she is about whats going on. why on earth would you add the demands of a puppy into this? arrghh.

I think step 2 street dance was good but they should been succesful in school and went professional not that street rain dance.Just my opinion.What do you think Jamie Lynn thinks and do you think she saw the movie?

such a big gas guzzling car for such a little girl with no reason to have a car of that size.
