Lindsay Lohan bares all and does her best Marilyn Monroe, recreating Monroe’s last (nude) photo shoot for New York Magazine.
In 1962, photographer Bert Stern shot Marilyn Monroe in “The Last Sitting” photo shoot and 46 years later, he revisited his classic shots with Lindsay Lohan. Here are some snippets from Lindsay’s interview with NY Mag:
On comparing Marilyn Monroe and Heath’s Ledger’s tragic deaths: “They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone… I don’t know. I’m not them. But I sure as hell wouldn’t let it happen to me.”
On posing nude: “I was comfortable with it… I didn’t have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It’s really an honor.”
On the Monroe photos Lohan revisits: “Here is a woman who is giving herself to the public. She’s saying, ‘Look, you’ve taken a lot from me, so why don’t I give it to you myself.’ She’s taking control back.”

Girl, do something credible! Quit trying to force your fame….you are absolutely ruining any chance for yourself. And your comments about Heath and Marilyn? Please save it…sometimes it’s better to just keep your mouth (and legs, for that matter) shut.
I have to agree with most of the posters so far…she is NO Marilyn. I think she looks silly in these pictures. Marilyn was far prettier and exuded sexuality, where Lindsay just kind of well….doesn’t

Lindsay is hideous. Why would they disgrace Marilyn by creating these pictures? These pictures are an abomination.
Why would New York magazine even approach Lindsay to do these pictures? What were they thinking trying to mimic an iconic photo shoot with such a trashy celebrity? How is she anything like Marilyn? They should have at least picked someone credible like Scarlett Johansson. Lindsay looks gross and gives stupid comments about Monroe and Ledger. I just can’t understand why they would try to elevate her status when she keeps doing ****** moves, is a *****, and clearly lacks intelligence.

NY magazine is really reaching. These pictures are embarassing.
First, Heath Ledger did not commit suicide. Ms. Lohan might want to crack open a newspaper once in awhile. To compare the two in any way, sounds ignorant.
Second, the photos being emulated were of Marilyn Monroe at about 35-36 years old. How old is Lindsey now? MUCH younger than 36–and she certainly looks older than 36 in these pictures.
Also, the biggest reason these pics don’t work is Lohan certainly doesn’t come near Monroe’s charisma or star power. The Stern photos have been done and done much better.
This is embarassing for the Lohan “team” and NY mag…they all come out looking ridiculous. Bad choice.
I bet Lindsay weighs all of 110 pounds, and I don’t think Marilyn weighed that ever.
Marilyn never went to rehab or “forgot” to wear underwear, or had pictures taken of her falling down drunk.
Marilyn’s image now is a good model for what girls should aspire to be…not underweight with ribs poking out, but normal with more than skin and bones.
Lindsay is not.

That’s pretty odd, as a photoshoot- why would they want to draw the comparison between these 2 troubled, lovely starlets? One of whom killed herself, and one of whom is recovering from her problems, hopefully.

The logic of this escapes me. A young starlet with serious drug and alcohol problems agrees to do a photo shot where she pretends to be a actress that downed a bottle of pills and vodka and killed herself in the process. Weird.
