Lindsay Lohan bares all and does her best Marilyn Monroe, recreating Monroe’s last (nude) photo shoot for New York Magazine.
In 1962, photographer Bert Stern shot Marilyn Monroe in “The Last Sitting” photo shoot and 46 years later, he revisited his classic shots with Lindsay Lohan. Here are some snippets from Lindsay’s interview with NY Mag:
On comparing Marilyn Monroe and Heath’s Ledger’s tragic deaths: “They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone… I don’t know. I’m not them. But I sure as hell wouldn’t let it happen to me.”
On posing nude: “I was comfortable with it… I didn’t have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It’s really an honor.”
On the Monroe photos Lohan revisits: “Here is a woman who is giving herself to the public. She’s saying, ‘Look, you’ve taken a lot from me, so why don’t I give it to you myself.’ She’s taking control back.”

Marilyn at 36 and not being innocent at all, still looks vulnerable and sweet whereas LiLo at 21 looks… well aaround the block and in somepictures, tough. she is looking more like her mother, or her mother’s sister. Not a young actress of this generation.
Marilyn, scar in her belly and all looked more woman and more real in her pix. Not everything is just being 21 and being photographed naked, maybe in an effort of seeming grown up or different. What can speak for her is her work, her acting work. She should be doing theater or something if she wants to show what she can do, not just showing up her boobs.
She looks nothing like Marilyn. She’s nasty.

Actually, the one to blame in this disastrous photoshoot is the photographer himself.
Mr. Bert Stern did the original Marilyn photoshoot. How dare he demean Marilyn by using this ******, dirty-looking, 21 year old -looking like-45 year old starlet to portray her! Totally ridiculous! Is he out of his mind?

I am not the biggest fan of Lohan but she looks good. She was also asked by the original photographer to do this. If he thinks it is worth the time then I do not think anyone here can argue. Plain and simple.

She looks pretty damn good to me! Maybe it’s just me, but I think her freckles are kinda hot. Of course she’s no Marilyn Monroe, but how many women are.
It’s really sad that she grew up so fast and perceives herself as a “sex siren” at the age of 21 years when she could be in college (like many truly beautiful young women) preparing for an empowering future as a woman and dating healthy young men who will make something of their lives.
As a mother of a 20-year-old son, I would like to perceive these photos in a more positive light though she feels psychologically sick to me.
