Zac Efron Celebrates Bat Mitzvah
Zac Efron celebrates the Bat Mitzvah of a producer pal’s daughter in London on Saturday night. (The producer is from his upcoming movie, Me and Orson Welles)
The 20-year-old tween heartthrob will be spending about a month filming the coming-of-age romantic comedy in the Isle of Man (the center of the British Isles). Principal photography starts on Sunday, Feb. 24th.
Zac will plays a teenage student who lucks his way into a minor role in the 1937 Mercury Theatre production of Julius Caesar, directed by 22-year-old genius Orson Welles.

I feel sad though, because one of the RAs in my friend’s building is good friends with Zac’s costar, Corbin Bleu, and she said that apparently Vanessa and Zac aren’t very nice people from Bleu’s own account to her. She said she loves the whole cast but those two.
I have yet to bash either Zac or Vanessa so I hope no one cops out to just accuse me of being a “hater” or “troll.” I told her I’d mention this on the celeb site I go to.

I take things like that with a grain of salt because in the public eye, being an a** towards others makes you unlikable to the public and unmarketable to your company. I’m sure who wouldn’t say what he told a friend in confidence in an interview.
Anyway, he took the correct approach there.

you know lucklyl .. what u are saying does not totally shock me .. i thought zac and corbin looked kind of uncomfortable with each other at the hsm2 release party and i thought corbin was kind of awkward with vanessa on gma .. i also remember that corbin did make a comment right after v’s picture incident and that might not have sat too well with z/v .. however, i don’t get the impression any of them are mean or whatever .. i kind of got the vibe that they hung out a ton during hsm1 and things kind of changed as everyone’s careers went off in different directions so mabey that created some hard feelings or just some distance etc. anyway, i am probably completely off base, but those are my thoughts

Yeah, I mean the girl I spoke to knows a whole lot more about the cast than I do and I didn’t know Corbin was the youngest or how one chick was apparently 28? I believe. I think it’s the cheerleader. Anyway, age can separate people, plus, if you have to work with people you don’t like for months, and you even know you’ll be working together again, I’m sure they wouldn’t openly argue or make fun of one another in interviews, but I feel that perhaps he truly may find them stuck-up and its only with personal friends the truth is coming out.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of them got a big head due to all the fanaticism, and can I blame them? Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes I falter and wonder about how “wonderful” people like them may really be since I am their age and know how guys and girls act now. Imagine if millions of people inflated your ego every day. I’ve seen sweet people turn superficial. It happens. I’m sure I can/ we can remain fans though. It’s actually good all feuds have been kept under wraps.
I think we can safely say that in a large ensemble group like the HSM gang, there will be some jealousy over some careers taking off and not others. But I feel that they would, nonetheless, be supportive of each other. I’m sure all their personalities aren’t always getting along on set during long shoots or rehearsals, but at the end of the day, you know they’d be there for each other! They don’t all have to be best friends. Just professional with each other.

Personally, I think guys are happier when they are with a great girl, who treats them well, is not “high-maintenence”, and they can share good times with!! It’s a bonus if the girl is drop-dead gorgeous too…….
Dating is a lot of work. Too much guessing what’s up. It’s more comfy being with someone who knows you!!

I agree with that statement, and sure there’s some guys who want to play the field, but no one put a gun to Zac’s head to date her, and he chose her out of the millions of girls who gush over him every day.
I don’t know why people are so excited to see this couple fail. However, I wouldn’t put crazy expectations on them either like I expect them to know whether or not their marrying one another, etc. Like Vanessa said, it’s like being with a best friend, that you just happen to like very much, but you can’t forget your friends and lose perspective over it.

I find them all to be pretty mature and grounded and I’m sure they probably do support one another.

Yes, they are. Obviously you are not a fan who follows what they are doing or you wouldn’t be asking that question. You do know they are both making movies right now? How far out of the loop are you?

luckyl - i think monique coleman is about 28 years old .. ashley tisdale is 22 or thereabouts .. lucas is around ashley’s age .. then zac is 20 and vanessa/corbin are both are 19/18 .. corbin is younger than vanessa i believe …

I’m sure there is some jealousy because some of the characters’ careers have skyrocketed while others haven’t. I suppose that’s to be expected. But the person who speaks negatively about any other cast member . . . that is the person who will end up looking bad. Not the person whom they are dissing. Better to follow the motto, “If you can’t say something good, then don’t say anything.”
So, LuckyL, there may be a bit of truth to what your friend’s RA said, but I still think they’re professionals. Let’s give them credit for working well enough together to have the success they had together!!

Perhaps what Corbin was referring to about Zac and Vanessa was that they are not particularly a “G” rated couple in real life. Maybe that’s the “not very nice” meaning. These two are in an adult relationship and are of college age so they are more the “PG-13″ at the very least. Probably Corbin knows that and was referring to the fact they are not the “perfect kids” that they are portrayed to be. We see it all the time on this site how people don’t always “get” the true meaning of everyone’s words.

Interesting that a Zac post was important enough for you to take the time to stop in and type an entire paragraph. And, from your statement, it is clear you know nothing about this young man. Sounds like you have been influenced by someone from the Dark Side–maybe Perez Hilton?
And, the majority of the Zac and Vanessa fans who come on here, including me, are not teenie boppers OR teenie BOOPERS. I’m way past that age with a degree in psychology. I come on here because I respect this young man. He is down-to-earth and real. Most of all he has a very big heart. And the one thing you should know about him is that he never says mean things about others. That speaks of maturity.

There is no break-up rumor article…..it’s just the same old rumor that floats out there whenever there aren’t daily pictures of Zac and Vanessa together, or when one of them isn’t wearing their ring.
