ALOHA, BECKS!

Soccer star David Beckham trains at a local park with his LA Galaxy teammates in preparation for the Pan-Pacific Soccer Championship at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu on Feb. 20 and 23.

“We’re very happy to be here, and very honored with the invitation,” said Becks. “Also, this is my first time in Hawaii so I’m looking forward to looking around and seeing the beaches and seeing everything. It’s beautiful here. Yet, we’re preparing for our season, we’re in our pre-season training, and we’re not match fit yet, but this is what we can do (to prepare) in these matches.”

After practice, Becks was kind enough to signed autographs for fans as he left for his hotel.

Becks said last week, “Next Monday we leave for Hawaii and the Pan Pacific tournament which everybody is looking forward to. The opening game is against Japanese side, Gamba Osaka, so will definitely be looking to try and build up our match fitness from thereon.”
