OlderPrison Break: Season Finale or Series Finale?
FOX aired the “season finale” of Prison Break tonight. Let me recap the ridiculousness for you:
LJ and Sofia get saved. Sofia leaves James. Sophia gets shot. Lincoln stays behind to take care of her. Michael reminisces about Sarah. Mahone, Whistler and Gretchen are are cahoots with one another. Long live The Company!
Lots of unanswered questions but this will probably be the last we see of Michael and Lincoln, anyway. No word from the network on renewal–not good news.
The Boston Herald seems to done with the series: “Please, don’t add another year of Prison Break to viewers’ sentence… FOX should pardon its viewers and give them early parole. We’ve done our time. We don’t need any more of this crime.”

They could have the decency to atleast finish out this season, wrap it all up nice and tight and give the show a proper farewell.
To leave it off this way is just a slap in the face to all of us who have been loyal fans over the past 2 and a half years.
Well if it was the last episode, I just want to thank all the cast of PB for these 3 years !!! I love the show and especially first season !!!

NOOOOOOOOO…they better not end Prison Break because Michael still promise Gretchen some “quality time”. I hope he will cut her head off like she did Sara’s.
I was looking forward to seeing that “someone ” that I am not expecting to see on the finale…and it brought out more pain when they put a flashback of Sara. BRING SARA BACK! Let is be just a hoax or whatever…bring her back.
There is still no closure on PB and I am positive it will come back. More Wentworth and Dominic please.

The Finale exceeded my expectations! loved it, but so sad to see the Sarah flashback! Bring Sarah back!!!
mad_hatter..you stole the words out of my mouth. My husband and I are die-hard PB fans and would hate it if the network left us hanging like that. YES…it is true that they don’t need to break out of another prison, but there are still alot of unanswered questions out there, and a decent ending and closure is what PB fans deserve.
I admit, I’m worried, but only because Fox loves to screw over it’s viewers. They’re notorious for canceling shows with good followings just because they want something new and different. It was a DAMN good episode and I am DYING to find out what Gretchen and Whistler have cooked up between them and what Mahone’s doing joining in. You KNEW something was up when Whistler saved Mahone from Linc. And poor Sucre! He needs to get back to Marisol and the baby! I really really hope it comes back next season. I’ll miss it SO much if Fox pulls it.

They can’t end it yet!, i’m in th UK and we haven’t seen the last episode yet, but it sounds great, i don’t want the show to end!.
I personally love season 3, it’s darker and more grittier than the previous two seasons, i understand it’s a huge hit internationally so let’s hope us overseas fans can stand behind our american cousins and ask for another season.
I have to say over on prisonbreakbuff.com, they posted a new statement from Nick Santora and he seems to think they will be back for another season, it’s just a little bit early for fox to say what shows are being picked up and what aren’t.

hmmm… Well considering the fact that I stopped watching the show 4 episodes through this season, I have to say I am glad it’s gone. They really ruined the story since the beginning of the season and I predicted back when it premiered that the show will be cancelled this year… Prison Break should’ve ended with season 2…

my boyfriend (i am gay) loved prison break of all the series shows we have been watching. he watched NOTHING in the past and liked NOTHING in the past and at the moment. but he LOVES PB, or prison break. i love it too and just do not want it to end. i loved the 1st season so much but the 2nd season was not bad and now, the latest episodes are not disappointing. i love the 2 hottie brothers and hope they just keep on coming and helping us follow. this is a huge series with a huge following, so please the capitalists at Fox, do not end it. ok? it is not about you, it is about us, the fans. and u already see that prison break has millions of those, so do not end it, PLEASE PLEASE. I really hope this isn’t the end. But I have to say, that last nights season finale was a little lame. And that there was more suspense in the break out than the finale. I have been watching this show since it started and I absolutley love it, but I still want more. But leave to fox to cancel a good thing. They do it all the time. Epscecially with shows like Dark Angel, Tru calling, Standoff, There are plenty. So I really hope that they come back for more or I will be kind of upset.

In my opinion Prison Break’s first 3 episodes from first series were the worst… You always start watching a movie from the first episode, right? So in those moments it kinda lost allot of viewers… Luckily Went was there to keep my interest, lol

ive been watching prison break from day one of the first season and i never miss this show. i would hate to see them leave prison break off like they did on the last episode. there are too many unanswered questions with this last episode and i hope they make a fourth season. prison break is awesome and wentworth is so hot and i just hate to see this show end like this.

I think they should wrap up the story with a fourth and final season. There are a lot of loose ends to tie up (Sucre’s in SONA!! Hello!!). So there’s still one more “Prison Break” to stage. PB wasn’t supposed to last more than 4 or five seasons anyway, so they should end it in the right way…

I have a feeling it will be the last of the series, and that makes me REALLY sad. But, it ended nicely. Though, it would be nice to know if Michael ever killed Gretchen because I’d love to see her die. She was such a *****. I didn’t like her. Plus, I want to know if Sucre gets out. You can’t leave him there.
Oh goodness end the misery already FOX.The show has pretty bad ratings and it’ll be waste of money for your network.Besides Wentworth should be doing movies not wasting his time doing this piece of garbage, they even call a show! I loved the season finale!! not just because I am a fan, but because it leaves me with more questions than answers (which is what a good show does) - what is Michael going to do? Are Sofia and Lincoln going to get together? WHAT is going on between Whistler, Gretchen, and Mahone? We know they’re in cahoots, but for WHAT?? What is Michael’s next move against the company??? will he get revenge in Sarah’s honor? WHAT IS THE ANSWER???? *whew* ok. This is why I need a season four. Oh, and how could I forget - what will happen to poor Sucre???? SONA cannot be his fate.

Fox has alot to work with for season four-Sucre has just been dumped in Sona were T-Bag has taken over control.Link now has his son and possible a new love. Michael is alone and looking the Company and Gretchen.

I think (if it was the last episode) this show was great, i loved it but i dont like the end .. hope that will be more episodes of PB and different final

I loved the show. It had the suspense, love, loyalty and partial justice that prison break is all about. We must see more!!! The loyal fans deserve to tie up the loose ends and have our favorite characters leave us with a justified ending. Also, may tragedy and pain come to those who deserve it.
I loved the finale & I believe there will be a season 4. Prison Break is a huge international hit, the last couple of episodes were amazing and the story has to be finished properly.
they shouldnt end the show, i love prison break and it would be a shame not to see michael and lincoln on our screens again. :(((( I LOVE PRISON BREAK!!!!!
i really hope its not the end, i been watching the show n its been a lil confusing i might say but they really cant leave it lik that there is many unanswered questions. but if it is the series finale, i will say that everyone that was on the show are brilliant actors and i definitely hope to see more of them.
I think we will see a season 4. Even though the ratings numbers have been down in the US, the ratings are HUGE overseas. I can’t imagine Rupert Murdoch passing down that kind of money. Especially since there are so many shows with ratings that are so much worse, at least PB is relatively consistent.

I Loved last night’s episode. I’m always thrilled with every episode. I don’t want the series to end. I want to see Michael try and break Sucre out now! lol. Poor guy.
First of all, to those who say they didn’t like the show, or stopped watching it midway through, YOU’RE IDOTS!
The show is story you have to follow through with it in order to enjoy it to its fullest. Of course your going to say it sucked if you haven;t watched the entire show because you missed out on all the good plot lines. The show was suppose to keep invested in the characters and the journey. So what if every episode wasn’t action packed or seemed to draw on some old themes, the point was to stick with it, get the big picture, and accept it for what it was. The show was phenominal in its ability to keep the “THINKING AUDIENCE” guessing about what would happen next, and who would out think whom. For those who only wanted sex and action, which is what shows like Lost, and Grey’s Anatomy give you then of course you wouldn’t like Prison Break. PB is on another plateau and league of its own, and it would be absolute shame for Fox to cancel it because mindless americans who would rather be spoon-fed than actually watch something that stimulates the mind, won’t watch it. It’s a very popular show internationally, and I know all of hardcore fans, that really understand what the writers were trying to give them are going to miss it. I know I will, so petition or something people. They managed through this means to bring back Jericho which isnt ’s even 1/10th as good as Prison Break.
I LOVED the finale, I don’t know how they could cancel a show that still has so much to work with.
Also think about it, if Fox can allow mindless garbage like American Idol to be on then they should keep PB, there’s nothing better, is there!
Oh and also, I’ve come to believe that the reason they might not keep PB is because there isn’t enough sex and scanadal. RIGHT! not enough bed scences or something, horney american idots need their nightly fix of two people getting more action than them in order to make a show stick?

I want to see the next season. I loved it! But I don’t want to see Sara. I don’t know why viewers want to see a fake relationship b/w her and Michael. U know if a guy played you and got you fired, nookie and lovin’ is the last thing u want to give him. Don’t know why Fox wanted to play it like a romantic relationship b/w S & M; it would never work out.

Its not ending guys. Have faith. The story will be wrapped up. As much as this show is my obsession I think one more season is enough. Wrap it up, give us closure and forever live with my DVD box sets. I hope we see more of Wentworth and Dominic in the future on other projects.

i actually liked the finale, i thought it was good. i hope its not the last season, not that i really enjoyed this season that much. i just dont want to see it end that way.
i think the boston herald is being a lil mean about it, almost as if speaking on behalf of everyone. if they do make a new season i think they should listen to their fans a bit more, and instead of doing a lot of stupid moves, and upsetting everyone they should just listen to us for once. i mean they dont need to do every little thing we want done, obviously, but their viewers are supposed to be very important to them, they should want to make us upset, without us, they have no show. well thats my opinion on what i feel
It’s the storyline that counts not the actors who plays a certain role. Even if you bring back to life characters who’ve been killed off in the series won’t bring back the enthusiasm and eagerness of the viewers. The show could no longer bring back the high ratings they enjoyed during Season 1.The success of any television series rides on what the series is about. Even a show with a great timeslot and great acting can still fail if its premise lost it appeal.
I’ve been a viewer of PB but i lost interest on season 2 because the storyline deteriorated during the second half of season 2. Just look at the bright side guys…maybe producers are starting to make a spin-off of PB.

FYI, this Boston Herald article was published online BEFORE the show actually aired, so who knows what the ratings were?
I believe PB is one of the few shows that has shown it’s main character to evolve and develop into a multi-faceted person, with conflicting morals and values. Apart from the cleverness of Scofield’s plans, this tension between right and wrong is what’s kept me fascinated with the show through all the seasons. Season 3 was definitely the darkest, with a strong “Heart of Darkness” element to it.
For a season finale, The Art of The Deal was good. Lots of questions - and hopefully more answers to come. Yes, we’d all like Sarah to come back, but for Michael’s continued evolution, this may not be the best direction for the plot. And in the end - I don’t believe there will be a happy ending for him. After all that he’s done, there must be some penance.
Wentworth Miller sure is lucky he was born hot and gets cast because of that fact this man is the worst actor out there.The scenes with Jodi Lyn Okeefe and and him were awful.Michael is suppose to be suave, cool and sarcastic towards the Gretchen chacracter instead he has a smile and smirk on his face when he’s face to face with the woman who killed Sara.Instead of having a mad look to him he looks like he likes Sara’s killer.FOX cancel this show what downer!

I also thought the 2nd season was not that interesting too but I stuck with it and was rewarded with the 3rd season that was by far one of the best. So what if Sarah was murdered, get over it, Was she that pivotal to the plot? HONESTLY think about it. Could that have made the difference to your viewership.
This television show is not a romantic comedy, nor is a romantic drama per-say. It’s more of a intellectual drama, like the Inside Man (Great movie) OR 24. SO WHAT if she died, honestly her character’s contribution was stale and not worth the time and effort to keep on board. She was done after season 2.
It was a good show, no matter people say and it remained a good show, no matter what lame critics say.

Whoever wrote the article in The Boston Herald must be one of these “novice TV critics.” IMO, what they say doesn’t matter anyway. This person must be one of those nitwits that’s in LOVE with “reality TV” shows. Frankly, I’m sick of all of them. After watching part of the second season of “The Bachelor” (I didn’t even watch the 1st) and part of the first season of “Survivor,” I got burned out on them rather quickly.
I love the show. It is truly the best thing on TV and I say “IS” because I AM hoping for another season. I think the show could survive just one more season giving us, the audience, a proper ending with Michael getting to the bottom of what The Company is really about and avenging Sara’s (and Veronica’s) death. I don’t know why the writers didn’t have Michael cleverly remind Linc that they also killed V on last night’s episode. I think it should’ve come up when Linc was talking about how everything is so over.
I think season finale is sensational! I love it. I’ve already watched it twice. I’ll probably watch it a few more times. I really do hope that FOX picks the show back up and gives me, us, something to look forward to in either late Spring or Fall of this year. Not only does the show have great directors, great writers, and a great storyline, but having the stars Wentworth and Dom P. look like they do is just icing on the cake. Both of them are truly gifted and very talented actors. The entire first season cast is awesome and overflows with talent.
If this is the end of the show, which I hope it isn’t, I can’t wait to see them in something else (especially Wentworth with his beautiful ass!)!!!!!!!!!!

Prison Break was a good show for a while. But I have to admit it slowly went down hill. I still watched it sometimes but i felt it wasn’t really worth it. It is now time to end the show. I feel there isn’t a reason for it to continue. Fox, please end the show.

Clearly not, cause if you were paying attention you would have realized it was a good show, especially the 3rd season, It never went down hill, maybe slowed down a bit in season 2 but definately picked up speed in season 3.
Oh and Wentworth will definately be doing more movies if the show is over.
He also mentioned in an interview on youtube that he’s writing, as in scripts because there are stories that he would like to see that aren’t being told.
So I think he will eventually try his hand at writing or producing, but you know Wentworth is all about being slow, deliberate, and diligent about what he gets involved in so we might not see him for some time,
Oh will I ever miss those eyes and his beautiful behind!

Sara is alive. It was some other woman’s head in that box.She and Michael finally get to be a couple. They can just call it ‘Michael and Sara: Panama’.

everybody in this business has his own dreams, expectations, hopes, interests like the rest of us. i’ve seen in this series how actors put their souls, how they struggle to give the best and although i’m very found of wentworth, i think the rest of them did well.
not to mention the team behind what you see.
i respect their work, intuition, vision and courage.
i hope this will not end and to be true for one reason: to see wentworth.
