OlderPrison Break: Season Finale or Series Finale?
FOX aired the “season finale” of Prison Break tonight. Let me recap the ridiculousness for you:
LJ and Sofia get saved. Sofia leaves James. Sophia gets shot. Lincoln stays behind to take care of her. Michael reminisces about Sarah. Mahone, Whistler and Gretchen are are cahoots with one another. Long live The Company!
Lots of unanswered questions but this will probably be the last we see of Michael and Lincoln, anyway. No word from the network on renewal–not good news.
The Boston Herald seems to done with the series: “Please, don’t add another year of Prison Break to viewers’ sentence… FOX should pardon its viewers and give them early parole. We’ve done our time. We don’t need any more of this crime.”

First of all, to those who say they didn’t like the show, or stopped watching it midway through, YOU’RE IDOTS!
The show is story you have to follow through with it in order to enjoy it to its fullest. Of course your going to say it sucked if you haven;t watched the entire show because you missed out on all the good plot lines. The show was suppose to keep invested in the characters and the journey. So what if every episode wasn’t action packed or seemed to draw on some old themes, the point was to stick with it, get the big picture, and accept it for what it was. The show was phenominal in its ability to keep the “THINKING AUDIENCE” guessing about what would happen next, and who would out think whom. For those who only wanted sex and action, which is what shows like Lost, and Grey’s Anatomy give you then of course you wouldn’t like Prison Break. PB is on another plateau and league of its own, and it would be absolute shame for Fox to cancel it because mindless americans who would rather be spoon-fed than actually watch something that stimulates the mind, won’t watch it. It’s a very popular show internationally, and I know all of hardcore fans, that really understand what the writers were trying to give them are going to miss it. I know I will, so petition or something people. They managed through this means to bring back Jericho which isnt ’s even 1/10th as good as Prison Break.
I LOVED the finale, I don’t know how they could cancel a show that still has so much to work with.
Also think about it, if Fox can allow mindless garbage like American Idol to be on then they should keep PB, there’s nothing better, is there!
Oh and also, I’ve come to believe that the reason they might not keep PB is because there isn’t enough sex and scanadal. RIGHT! not enough bed scences or something, horney american idots need their nightly fix of two people getting more action than them in order to make a show stick?

I want to see the next season. I loved it! But I don’t want to see Sara. I don’t know why viewers want to see a fake relationship b/w her and Michael. U know if a guy played you and got you fired, nookie and lovin’ is the last thing u want to give him. Don’t know why Fox wanted to play it like a romantic relationship b/w S & M; it would never work out.

Its not ending guys. Have faith. The story will be wrapped up. As much as this show is my obsession I think one more season is enough. Wrap it up, give us closure and forever live with my DVD box sets. I hope we see more of Wentworth and Dominic in the future on other projects.
Yes guys don’t believe all the rumors they spread like wildflowers. It will be back for a season 4. The writers are already working on it.
i was hooked during the first season.. i got bored half way into season two, lol
i actually liked the finale, i thought it was good. i hope its not the last season, not that i really enjoyed this season that much. i just dont want to see it end that way.
i think the boston herald is being a lil mean about it, almost as if speaking on behalf of everyone. if they do make a new season i think they should listen to their fans a bit more, and instead of doing a lot of stupid moves, and upsetting everyone they should just listen to us for once. i mean they dont need to do every little thing we want done, obviously, but their viewers are supposed to be very important to them, they should want to make us upset, without us, they have no show. well thats my opinion on what i feel
It’s the storyline that counts not the actors who plays a certain role. Even if you bring back to life characters who’ve been killed off in the series won’t bring back the enthusiasm and eagerness of the viewers. The show could no longer bring back the high ratings they enjoyed during Season 1.The success of any television series rides on what the series is about. Even a show with a great timeslot and great acting can still fail if its premise lost it appeal.
I’ve been a viewer of PB but i lost interest on season 2 because the storyline deteriorated during the second half of season 2. Just look at the bright side guys…maybe producers are starting to make a spin-off of PB.

This season is darker, we can see action, emotion, tension…i hope we’ll see a season four…Wentworth, all the actors, writers…thank you for all you have done on this show..AND WENTWORTH: i hope to see you in a next movie with the actors you likes: as Denzel Washinghton maybe…i wish your dreams and desires come true sweet heart…i love U

FYI, this Boston Herald article was published online BEFORE the show actually aired, so who knows what the ratings were?
I believe PB is one of the few shows that has shown it’s main character to evolve and develop into a multi-faceted person, with conflicting morals and values. Apart from the cleverness of Scofield’s plans, this tension between right and wrong is what’s kept me fascinated with the show through all the seasons. Season 3 was definitely the darkest, with a strong “Heart of Darkness” element to it.
For a season finale, The Art of The Deal was good. Lots of questions - and hopefully more answers to come. Yes, we’d all like Sarah to come back, but for Michael’s continued evolution, this may not be the best direction for the plot. And in the end - I don’t believe there will be a happy ending for him. After all that he’s done, there must be some penance.
Wentworth Miller sure is lucky he was born hot and gets cast because of that fact this man is the worst actor out there.The scenes with Jodi Lyn Okeefe and and him were awful.Michael is suppose to be suave, cool and sarcastic towards the Gretchen chacracter instead he has a smile and smirk on his face when he’s face to face with the woman who killed Sara.Instead of having a mad look to him he looks like he likes Sara’s killer.FOX cancel this show what downer!

I also thought the 2nd season was not that interesting too but I stuck with it and was rewarded with the 3rd season that was by far one of the best. So what if Sarah was murdered, get over it, Was she that pivotal to the plot? HONESTLY think about it. Could that have made the difference to your viewership.
This television show is not a romantic comedy, nor is a romantic drama per-say. It’s more of a intellectual drama, like the Inside Man (Great movie) OR 24. SO WHAT if she died, honestly her character’s contribution was stale and not worth the time and effort to keep on board. She was done after season 2.
It was a good show, no matter people say and it remained a good show, no matter what lame critics say.

Whoever wrote the article in The Boston Herald must be one of these “novice TV critics.” IMO, what they say doesn’t matter anyway. This person must be one of those nitwits that’s in LOVE with “reality TV” shows. Frankly, I’m sick of all of them. After watching part of the second season of “The Bachelor” (I didn’t even watch the 1st) and part of the first season of “Survivor,” I got burned out on them rather quickly.
I love the show. It is truly the best thing on TV and I say “IS” because I AM hoping for another season. I think the show could survive just one more season giving us, the audience, a proper ending with Michael getting to the bottom of what The Company is really about and avenging Sara’s (and Veronica’s) death. I don’t know why the writers didn’t have Michael cleverly remind Linc that they also killed V on last night’s episode. I think it should’ve come up when Linc was talking about how everything is so over.
I think season finale is sensational! I love it. I’ve already watched it twice. I’ll probably watch it a few more times. I really do hope that FOX picks the show back up and gives me, us, something to look forward to in either late Spring or Fall of this year. Not only does the show have great directors, great writers, and a great storyline, but having the stars Wentworth and Dom P. look like they do is just icing on the cake. Both of them are truly gifted and very talented actors. The entire first season cast is awesome and overflows with talent.
If this is the end of the show, which I hope it isn’t, I can’t wait to see them in something else (especially Wentworth with his beautiful ass!)!!!!!!!!!! :)

Prison Break was a good show for a while. But I have to admit it slowly went down hill. I still watched it sometimes but i felt it wasn’t really worth it. It is now time to end the show. I feel there isn’t a reason for it to continue. Fox, please end the show.
Were you even paying attention to the show to have any basis for what you say #98.
Clearly not, cause if you were paying attention you would have realized it was a good show, especially the 3rd season, It never went down hill, maybe slowed down a bit in season 2 but definately picked up speed in season 3.
Oh and Wentworth will definately be doing more movies if the show is over.
He also mentioned in an interview on youtube that he’s writing, as in scripts because there are stories that he would like to see that aren’t being told.
So I think he will eventually try his hand at writing or producing, but you know Wentworth is all about being slow, deliberate, and diligent about what he gets involved in so we might not see him for some time,
Oh will I ever miss those eyes and his beautiful behind!
the finale was to die for amazing. and it can not end this way .we need those brothers back next season . its my favorite show & it would be a shame to see it end
