Scarlett Johansson shimmers in silver Stella McCartney at the Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund Royal Film Premiere for her new movie The Other Boleyn Girl at the Odeon Leicester Square on Tuesday in London, England.
The Hollywood Reporter favored Scarlett’s performance over costar Natalie Portman’s: “Portman comes to grips with the sharpest lines, but she could have done so much more. Johansson’s character grows the most in the film and once again the star dazzles with her versatility.”

Here we go again. Why do Natalie Portman’s fans always have to compare her to other actress?? Always saying SHE is the best, the most beautiful… Okay, so, let face it: just read The other Boleyn girl reviews. Who is praised? hum??? Are Scarlett fans saying Nat is bad?? No. I think this Portmania is boring. Truly boring.

I don’t think she looks like Winslet, but in these pictures, if her lips were smaller, there’d be a slight resemblance. Especially with her hair and they also have similar bodies.
The critics are calling Johansson better. I’m not surprised myself. Johansson gives a better English accent, for starters (well in Girl with the Pearl Earring). While Portman struggled in V For Vendetta.

She’s pretty, the dress doesn’t do a thing for her.
She looks so elegant here. Her makeup is finally right! Much better than the overdone, costume-y thing they kept doing to her eyes. Love it!
And as far as who is the better actress, I think they BOTH have a loooong way to go and a lot to learn acting-wise. I often think their “talents” are sort of confused with their celebrity persona, because of the way they conduct themselves off screen- classy, more serious, no flashing vajayjays or dancing on tabletops, etc- so they come off as “serious actresses” but really when I look at their screen performances and judge them solely on that, they both are usually pretty mediocre to me. When compared to the wild talents of someone like Ellen Page, let’s face it, ScarJo and NatPo really can’t hold a candle. They are just good well-behaved STARLETS, but I think they both need to work really hard to truly be great ACTRESSES that history will remember.

Out of everyone you compare them to the one note Ellen Page? Get real. That girl snarls her lip and spout her lines like a goth chick in all of her roles. That isn’t talent
Scar and Nat have done a wide variety of roles and are far ahead of this Ellen Page chick.
hypocrite I respectfully disagree. Have you seen The Tracey Fragments or An American Crime? Ellen Page is phenomenal in both and they’re veeery different characters from Juno. They might be hard to come by right now because I’m not sure if either of them is wide-released yet, but I saw them at film festivals, and Ellen blew my mind.
But anyway, my point wasn’t about Ellen Page but more that Scarlett and Natalie aren’t as good as the media/public seem to think sometimes. (Not saying they’re bad, but DEFINITELY highly overrated). You can compare them to whichever young actress you think is better if it’s not Page- Maggie Gyllenhaal, Anne Hathaway, Thora Birch, Olivia Thirlby, Evan Rachel Wood, etc- the point is, Scar/Nat I think get a lot of attention and kudos which is really unwarranted for the talent they actually display, and I think has a lot more to do with good looks and hype than actual acting chops. But that’s just my opinion….
again…this dress does her no favors. to shiny and metalic, makes her look too big. not flattering.
In my opinion, Scalett never is elegant. She haven’t style or class. She is vulgar and this don’t change the make-up or the outfit.

not my favourite dress….the sleeve is weird but the colour and fabric looks great no scarlett. i love her hair and make-up. reviews are going to get nasty comparing natalie and scarlett…they’re both such great actresses! only difference is scarlett’s been nominated for 4 golden globes, natalie’s been nominated for 1 oscar, 2 golden globes…
