Taylor Kitsch is Gambit

Friday Night Lights star Taylor Kitsch, aka football player Tim Riggins, will play Gambit (Remy LeBeau) in the new movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, according to SHH.

Kitsch, 26, has signed a three-picture deal and will be joining Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth), Danny Huston (William Stryker), Lynn Collins (Silver Fox) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool).

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is set to open nationwide on May 1, 2009.

Taylor Kitsch, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.. Oh my.. I think the girls will be melting in the theaters.
I know I will be one of them. But please… I hope Taylor can pull off the accent.

And when I heard they were offering the role of Gambit to Holloway a bit of me was glad he declined.. Just didn’t strike me as Gambit-like.
