I thought the same thing but was afraid to say it! That dress was the pits! And the bottom part was funny, like it was over hemmed and the proportion of the graphic blue to white ratio was all thrown off.

I also doubt we will see much of them in the future but not because they are not together but because they won’t be hired anymore. She for sure won’t (and that’s not a loss), and for Hayden my hopes are low as well after “Jumper” and all those critics he got.
You believe what you see and I do what I see. I think they spend far too much time together (and always using the same transport etc., such things could be avoided if they wanted) that it could just be a “showmance”, plus they started way too early. To promote “Jumper” the time setting would have been enough the last few months of the year, but they are seen together since spring 2007, although you could see her intentions to get him already as she met him in Rome in November 2006 on set (although she still was with Adam Brody at that time, another poor victim it seems). This alone shows her lack of character. I think one should finish one thing properly before starting something new, but the girl seems to like to “play it safe” and have more irons in the fire to be able to choose the more useful one. Brody as only TV-actor had bad cards in that game of course. Maybe Hayden will be in that poor position one day too, and then he will see what he (doesn’t) have with her.

I fully agree to your and Raven’s opinion on the dress she wore at the Japan-premiere (I think you meant that one?), it’s ugly indeed. Looks like a painter has lost all his colors over it without any plan, plus it’s too short and she seems to be freezing all the time why she stands there so very uncomfortable. At least my impression. Maybe also just the high heels hurt her feet. And she’s even smaller than the Japanese girl… basically, she looks like a school kid and not like a woman should at all.

Well, you said earlier that you hoped he was not with Rachel because she will ruin him - yes I definatly see her as ‘that type’ of woman too and I always have.

Keep in mind that post production took place in Los Angeles, not Toronto, and that PP started last March! So yes, there are plenty of reasons why you would see them together. Here is another pr trick. Hayden was probably photograhed out and about with lots of otther people while he was in L.A. spring and summer, however, those pics would have been supressed so as to give the impression that he was only with Bilson. There are actually ways to prove this but that is too in depth for here. Just notice the recent liquor store pics, they were advertised as being at the store together, yet, the door frame that Rachel was at was red and the one of the ligur store was at was silver.

Just Jared’s site is SOLEY for publicity! So a pr agent will have thier client talked by paid pap and then the pr agent will PICK AND CHOOSE which pics to submit to sites like this one. Hayden was surly with Jamie and Tove and others YET you never, EVER saw those pics! How come? PR manipulation.

I disagree that you won’t see Hayden. I have not seen Jumper but I do think that Hayden shines in more adult or ‘manly’ roles like Awake, and even Shatterd Glass and I think he’s too old to play teen angst and probably should not do that because he’s so good at the other and it’s important to transtion from teen actor to leading man and he has proven he can do this with Awake and SHattered Glass so I think Jumper may be a step back but I’m not too sure because I have not seen it but in the book David was a teenager. Not too sure if he’s playing a leading man or a teen in the movie version. But he defiantly will be around and in more grown up parts and hopefully the teen angst days are behind him because he’s pushing thirty and that just does not ‘play’ at his age.

As for Rachel, she was a total fluke, she was hired because Liman knew her and she sort of resembles a less attractive version of Natalie Portman and Liman wished to recreate that feeling from SW. I think she would benefit by getting some skills and finding another job.

Well I did not see Jumper and I can say that I was really astonished that the same person who did The Bourne Identity also directed Mr. and Mrs. Smith because MAMS was really a piece of fluff. There was no character development and I did not really care about the characters and the pacing was bad too, I actually found myself getting bored during the car chase at the end. TBI had great rythem and pacing.

It just goes to show you that you never really know how much the success of a film is due to a great director or great collaborating. I think consistency is key. If the director is consistently putting out good product regardless of who he’s collaborating with i.e. cinematographer, editor, etc then you can say he’s ‘great’ otherwise luck may have more to do with it than actual talent or skill.

It’s like that with the Edith Piaf script as well. I remember when this screenplay was being shopped around about 8 years ago or so and I thought to myself: whoever gets this role will get a best actress Oscar. They don’t have to spend the money to cast a star or charismatic or gifted actor just get someone who can play the part as written and follow direction. The story and screenplay was so good that any actor who did that could win the Oscar and that is precisely what happened.

Sometimes the subject matter and the collaborative talent is so great that it makes it hard for anyone associated with the project to fail!

The great directors/artists have something called ‘heart’ and they speak and understand the human language of the soul and it’s yearnings they are fluent in this language and can communicate it in both images and words and this is truly rare.

A person with this gift can take any story, no such thing as a bad script for a truly great director, and find that kernel of human truth and infuse even the weakest of screenplays with human resonance that most people can relate to and make it a hit. I don’t see Liman as one of these types but again, he does not seem to have the sensitivity required as a man but I have not seen all of his work.

As for your other comments, I agree Hayden is feeling his way and it’s really not too good to place ones faith in Hollywood people but no one wants to see him hurt or disillusioned. He’s learning and I think he will find his happiness in life.

The swing is for his G/F and that woman ISN”T RACHEL..and Bilson’s press PR for all her interviews write her ansewrs to the questoins because she can’t answer for herself short term memory loss..and take notice she copies all of hayden’s answers for that reason..He never said he made the swing for her and many people who work in PR know he has a true g/f and know she isn’t a celebrity reason we dont’ see her..
