Five-months pregnant Nicole Kidman (in Prada) shows off her barely-there baby bump at a press conference for her latest film The Golden Compass at the Peninsula Tokyo on Wednesday in Tokyo, Japan.
“I have been to Tokyo quite a few times.” Nic told reporters at the press conference. “But this is the first time I have been to Tokyo pregnant. I am very glad to be here this way.”
Mrs. Keith Urban also told reporters why she chose to do this family-friendly field: “My Bella and Connor are 13 and 15. So they have seen the film and they loved it…my child inside won’t see the film for a long time. But I think once you have children you want to balance the work you do because they give up so much of you to your work. So occasionally you want to make films that they can take their friends to, they can go to the premiere of, that they celebrate.”
The Golden Compass opens in theaters in Japan on March 1. Domestically, the film has pulled in a healthy $70 million so far and abroad, has racked up a whopping $206 million. And counting!
Nic, 40, was joined on stage by director Chris Weitz and costar Dakota Blue Richards.

Nicole is glowing with her pregnancy. She’s a stunningly beautiful woman anyway. Tall women do not show early…I’m 5′8″ and weighed 110 lbs. at the beginning of each of my 4 pregnancies. I didn’t have to wear maternity clothing until my 7th month….my babies were average weight & length–7 lbs., 20″. When you’re tall and thin you have so much more room for the baby to spread out.
I had a friend who hardly showed at all and then when she got to her 8th month into her pregnancy it was like overnight she was huge! Some women barely show until late into their pregnancy. I use to tease my friend and ask her if she was sure she’s pregnant because literally she could still wear some of her loose fitting clothes and only went into full pregnancy clothing in her 8th month.

Nicole and Keith are so excited about this baby. I can see Nicole just loves to talk about this baby. Keith wanted 2 years with Nicole before they had a baby and he got exactly what he wanted. He said this happened at just the right time.
Nicole looks beautiful as always. I’m really happy for her and Keith. Everything worked out right for her. I hope she continues to prosper.
To #30 really,She couldn’t fly to Germany because that was for charity,She couldn’t fly to the Grammy’s because that was for Keith.She can fly to Tokoyo because that’s for her career.She can fly to the Oscars because that’s for her career.She only worries about the baby if it’s for someone else.If it benefits her career no plane ride is too long..I see she’s all botoxed up nice and tight and shiny again and her eyebrows are back in place. That kids going to come out with a gigantic shiny forehead and no expression on it’s tight shiny face.Guess it will look like her.

About the bump - I heard that when you’re pregnent for the first time the belly isn’t getting that big, in most cases that is.
Wow, are there a lot of mature people on this thread. Children don’t even act like this. What Nicole & Keith do & what their decisions are for those things is THEIR business.
Just a few other points; !) For whoever said not many people knew who Keith was before he met Nicoe you are wrong, a lot of people into music knew of him. He was/is famous in his own field. 2) A Grammy is the equivelent of an Oscar for the music business. I would bet Nicole is prouder of him then anyone!!

Wow. Her face moved a couple of weeks ago at the Australian Open…something has definitely “tightened” it up. I am hoping she didn’t use botox again, but it looks like she used something. I guess the cosmetic surgeon who visited her in Oz wasn’t just a family friend!
I can’t figure out what has happened to her fashion senes. That dress is ugly. It’s not at all what a classy woman should wear. It looks like someone patched it together at the last minute.
Nice to know that she wasn’t able to fly to the US to accompany her husband to the Grammy’s where he was actually nominated and WON an award. And obviously she wasn’t interested in accompanying him on tour…even for the big date at Madison Square Garden…which he has always dreamed of. Nor could she get herself over to LA to visit her kids this last month..remember them, NK? Nope….nor could she get her butt into gear to fulfill her charitable obligations. But she can fly to Tokyo to attend a premiere of TGC … anything for her movie career. She’s a selfish one…that’s for sure.
Keith didin’t go to the Grammy because her mom who lives in Queensland was unwell. . So he and nic visited her. He’s a very good son, so don’t blame it to nicole!!!
