OlderMiranda Kerr: Orlando Bloom is a Sweetheart
Victoria’s Secret angel Miranda Kerr attended the Opening of The Vision and Art of Shinjo Ito at the Milk Gallery on Wednesday in New York City.
“I practice Japanese Buddhism,” Kerr, 24, told People at the event. “At the heart of it all, it’s about practicing peace.”
She even talked dieting: “I just did a three-day juice fast. It’s really detoxifying and cleansing for the body …. You don’t get that hungry.”
When asked if she ever has yoga workouts with Orlando Bloom, she responded (while blushing): “Ugh. Ha, ha, ha! Well, I’m sure he does yoga. He’s a sweetheart and that’s all I’m gonna say. Sweetheart.”
As for Kerrbloom’s romantic Valentine’s Day dinner together? “I can’t tell you,” she laughed. “I work for Victoria’s Secret – but that’s my secret.”

there has been over 22 men that i remember, before this orlando faze, starting from when she was 13/14 years old - oh and that doesn’t include her “bisexual” stage at around 20 or 21 (which was just a silly ploy to turn on and tease men in clubs).
i dread to think how many men she’s been with that only she knows about… she has only been in about 5 official “relationships” though, all of which ended in her hurting people. she’s a compulsive cheater, but she reminds me a bit of britney spears - maybe she just genuinely doesn’t know any better. when it comes to adult relationships, she has never seemed to decipher the difference between right and wrong. her personality/ actions took a turn for the worst when her boyfriend died (an incident which, conveniently, has already been revealed to the media for the sympathy vote). but really, that’s an explanation for her behaviour and not an excuse.
oh, and she was never christian, but was raised a catholic. and her brother matty is not a Buddhist, as far as i remember. he was always an atheist. he’s a party-animal too, which is one of the few things him and miranda have in common. he’s very outgoing, but harmless. it’s actually hard to believe they’re siblings since they look so different. last time i heard, he’s studying in canada and they only see each other about once a year.
most people call Catholics Christians, even though I understand you that they are not the same. It is a form of the same religion.
How does Jay fall into that list? Wasn’t she with him during that 20-21 age?
So now we are condemning their religion?
OK, why stop with theirs. Why don’t we condemn the Roman Catholic church for allowing pedophilia in the priesthood? Or Baptists for their paranoid condemnation of homosexuals? Or Episcopalians for breaking away from their roots to allow for divorce? Or Jews for the murder of Christ? Or Muslims for believing Christians to be infidels? Why stop there?
Oh, that’s right. You would only complain about those religions if Miranda was a practising member.
Her only sin is dating Orlando Bloom. I wonder if she knew what she was getting into? His “fans” are some of the biggest loons on the net. Oh, and don’t try to claim that you aren’t his fans (or ex-fans). Only a fan would know half the things you guys know, so don’t try to claim to be an outside observer. Orlando broke the rules by having a girlfriend. Just like he did when he was dating Kate. The girl has changed, the vitriol has not.
just been reading about sgi and what it is treally all about- money, money, money. Basically if you chant from the lotus sutra- orlando does, you are asking to be rich!! This cult is apparently the buddhist version of scientology, Orlando must be MAD to follow this crap, if you try to leave you can be attacked, and they take a cut of your annual earnings! MY GOD!! I’m glad i read all this because it proves to me that or;lando is mental and while I dislike Miranda, I say to her, come away from SGI because it is crazy!
The leader says facism is his ideal… who would follow a man like that?? No wonder Kate got out when she did. I dont know how anyone is as thick to follow this sh!t… why not just be a tibetan buddhist taht teaches nothing but goodness and that material things are worthless in the grand scheme of things.
Thing u have to ask yourself is HOW and Why did Orlando get into this? I dont get why he vchose this particular sect over normal buddhism

Oh, that’s right. the people here believe it. Well, they believe insider information as long as they agree with it. Sal brings “inside information”. as well, and he/she was summarily dismissed as fake.
If you folks here treat insider info as the truth, shouldn’t you believe anyone that posts? Or shouldn’t they both be suspect? If you believe one over the other, isn’t that hypocrisy?
Her religion comes up because she mentions it in the People interview. If you google SGI (the form of Buddhism that she and Orlando follow), you will find that it is mentioned as a cult. There isn’t much good mentioned about it. I’m a Unitarian Universalist, so I’m pretty open-minded about faith (Buddhism included); however, I do have a problem with cults that take advantage of followers. You can find reputable info on SGI that is not favorable, just like you can find bad things about Catholicism, etc. You don’t see Catholics being asked to march in parades and pray/chant to condemn other Buddhists. It might actually be like Scientology.

Celebrities in cults rarely see the bad side. They are the big fish that the cults use for show and tell so they are protected from real life inside and have no idea what happens to everyday members who are hurt and abused. They give lots of clout and money and are used as free advertising so obviously they are treated special.
Sad really. I wonder how much he has taken the time to read up on the founder and what he was into.
You can be both Christian and a Buddhist. They aren’t mutually exclusive. Christianity is a religion, Buddhism is a philosophy.

Ah how convenient mention a facebook account which would be much harder to find considering how many Matty’s or Matt Kerr’s are out there and you wouldn’t be able to see his profile unless you are in his network or added as a friend. I think I’ll go with his Myspace.
Orlando is a Buddhist, yet he often mentions God in interviews. I remember an interview on a US morning program where he called his life a “gift from God”….not Buddha…..God.
See? Sal is automatically discounted, just because he/she isn’t following the status quo. If he had said that Matt’s facebook profile said that he was Christion, he would have been believed immediately.

It is interesting that Sal and Laura both knew that Miranda’s brother lives in Canada. I think they both may know the Kerr’s, but it seems that Laura knows more about Miranda. Maybe they ran in the same circles.
At the end of the day, Miranda said herself that she was a new convert to THIS form of Buddhism within the past year. She may have practiced another form. As far as the duration of the particular belief, both are early 20-somethings so it couldn’t be a decade of serious practice. People experiment with lots of different forms of faith especially in their youth. Buddhism itself is very honorable. SGI is questionable, and I agree with the other poster who stated that celebrities don’t get to see the bad. That is true. The leaders want to keep them around so it’s generally pretty cushy and appealing.
It is curious that she meets Orlando and suddenly she is practicing this form of Buddhism. Miranda and her people are certain to remind us in every article, interview, etc. It’s like she wants to impress someone with it. We all know that Richard Gere is a Buddhist, but I don’t think he mentions it every time he talks to someone.

I just realized MK does still have her page up-someone the other day said she cancelled it. However, she is NOT on the Tamarama’s friends list either is matty.
However, David Blaine and Brandon Davis are on MK’s. That’s nice for such a sweet lovely girl.

Just like Kate Bosworth Miranda’s picking up Orlando’s hobbies and lifestyle. It was mentioned long time ago how he and Kate used to do juice diets and herbal drinks and organic food and see nutritionists blah blah blah He likes the same type of vapid, easily influenced women who are partly motivated by the publicity he brings them.
