Nicole Kidman takes her four-month-old baby bump to promote her latest film at the The Golden Compass premiere at Yebisu Garden Hall in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday.
During the movie premiere, the 40-year-old Aussie actress was presented with a real-life golden compass, which she seemed deeply impressed and grateful for. Nic was also seen pulling down on her floor-length dress to emphasize her burgeoning belly. Cute!
The Golden Compass opens on March 1st in Japan.

How do you know it’s 4 month old? When she gave a press release, she never confirmed when she was due. She’s probably earlier and that’s why
she doesn’t have a massive bump.

Why all the hate here for Nicole? Why not hate that man-stealing lesbo Angelina, or the queen of mediocrity Jennifer Aniston? They are both so phony, but silly, petty Yank women love them, because they can ‘relate’ to them. Unlike those women, Nicole is really a beauty, and has maintained her looks well and naturally. We have all lost perspective and need a reality check in dealing with aging celebrities? This is a “forty year old woman” that “somehow” has gotten pregnant ~ Her face is shot up with poison to look like wax ~ Her lips now look like they could be from an alien autopsy ~ She has starved herself to a waif like stick figure ~ She has on a long hair piece to cover her thinning, graying hair ~ When as a society are we going to decide this is not beauty but physical abuse
I love Nicole and so hope her pregnancy goes well after all she has been through, but it is very sad that she doesn’t realize she is more beautiful natural than with all the lip injections, botox and that awful hair color. Go back to red and stop it with the plastic surgery and just enjoy your beautiful baby.

Nicole Kidman has never been any heavier than she is now. She looks perfectly healthy, bodywise. Maybe not everyone is as naturally thin as she is - I think it’s been pretty well documented how active a person she is. You might be going a little bit overboard. Hollywood isn’t much different today than it was way back when. Technology, however, has made many odd things possible.
It is sad to see what she has become. I don’t know what pictures some of you are looking at to declare she is a beauty, she has ruined her face and she is whoring her bump out to drum up support for the movie that bumped. Tom Cruise really taught her well.
She needs to find out who she is and what makes her happy, bottoxing herself to death is not going to cut it.
I would say from looking at Kidman’s hands that she is not 40 years old - at least 50 - either that, or she is constantly washing dishes, and I suspect that isn’t happening. Ha’s comment about Hollywood “back when” reminded me of something. I see a lot of Joan Crawford in Kidman.

Seems to me with all her money she could have had it made to the proper length so she couldn’t trip on it when she is just walking on a flat surface. Just another way to Pimp The Bump!

Naturally thin? She used to have a woman’s body a number of years ago, with curves and all that. Eating raisins with honey on them, on a celery stick is why she is THIN. Picking her salad apart, and putting it on a plate to eat, is an eating disorder symptom. The reason why she looks the way she does is because of the way she eats and exercises. She’s obsessed with being thin, that it’s making her look much older than she might be, and that’s why she has to resort to all these procedures. To look young. Too bad she just doesn’t let herself grow old gracefully, she’d be much better off.
Oh….and Hollywood is way worse than it was years ago. WAY WORSE.

Ok… here is my take on the holding the front of the dress. Maybe people were clamoring for her to ’show’ the bump. So she grabs the dress and is doing a ‘there, see” type of thing with her other arm.
But the point is Who Cares?! SO what if she showed off her baby bump? It isn’t like she is the ONLY woman in the world to have ever done it. I say good for her! Be proud and happy and show that baby bump off as much as you want!

I was just making an observation and stating the fact of age and difficulty of pregnancy as a woman ages i.e.: “Advanced Maternal Age” is defined as any expectant mother who will have made her 35th birthday by the time she delivers. Women’s fertility peaks around the age of 23-24, and often deteriorates after 30. With a rise in women postponing pregnancy, this can create an infertility problem. Of women trying to get pregnant, without using fertility drugs or in vitro fertilization: At age 30, 75% will get pregnant within one year, and 91% within four years. At age 35, 66% will get pregnant within one year, and 84% within four years. At age 40, 44% will get pregnant within one year, and 64% within four years. I certainly wish Ms. Kidman the very best with her pregnacy, but it still does not change the facts that her physical appearance is abnormally distorted through diet, and other extreme measures ~
LittleNicole: YES naturally thin. Just because she works to maintain it doesn’t mean that she isn’t genetically pre-disposed to being built like that.
Honey on raisins? Picking apart a salad? Where are you getting this from? Do you eat with her? She NEVER had a “womanly” body (and when I think “womanly,” I think Marilyn Monroe, Salma Hayek, Catherine Zeta-Jones (no offense to very thin women out there). I remember seeing her in BMX Bandits, Dead Calm, Days of Thunder, etc…. and she has always been naturally thin. If I had to guess, I’d say within 10 - 15 lbs. of where she is now. Not a huge weight loss by any means. I think you might be overdramatizing things just a bit.

about Tom teaching her well… i actually think it’s great she is a good actress who divorced a cult fanatic, and has recovered her life back.
When married to him, she also became a fashion icon, and it suits her, she has the figure of a model, also, the attitude and she knows how to make the dress and her look good.
I like her better that others, if she has work done in her face, well, at least she is 40 something, many of her age have work done too.
I do not want to hate, but there are many celebrities that have started to have all types of surgery, etc, very young and they aren’t or they look very different from a few years back and aren’t even talented(won’t mention names); but Nicole is,
I love her work in Dead Calm, and the others, specially.
Funny how “any” other celebrity would be praised for looking so proud of her pregnancy, but not Nicole! The Nicole haters will find any ridiculous reason to attack her.
Also, the dress is long so she is obviously trying to keep the dress under control.
Nothing is don to her lips I thing it is bad smile. In some of the picture her lips look perfect.
Maybe some people should look at themselves in the mirror. Not necessarily what you look like on the inside but how being so spiteful makes oyu feel on the inside. This is someone you don’t know how would you want people analyzing everything you do or everything you wear? If you look at all the pictures her lips look no different.
