OlderJon Stewart Jokes About Angelina Jolie
During one of his monologues, host Jon Stewart poked fun of pregnant Angelina Jolie.
He said, “Earlier, I mentioned there were two very famous quite pregnant actresses here tonight. Actually, I was incorrect. I’ve become aware that there’s a third. Jessica Alba is pregnant, Cate Blanchett is pregnant and Nicole Kidman is pregnant.” (Nic wasn’t in her seat, so they flashed a still image of her. She was there was on the merlot carpet, though.)
Continuing his joke, Jon gave out an imaginary Oscar: “The baby goes to…. (drumroll) Angelina Jolie. On my god, Angelina Jolie. I’m just stunned. It goes to Angelina Jolie. That’s terrific. Obviously Angelina couldn’t be with us tonight–it’s tough to get 17 babysitters on Oscars night. I’ll accept this baby on her behalf.”

I have a different take on the hatchet job that ABC did. If we just sit and do nothing, then, since it comes from a so-called legitimate media source (it is still ABC) then other people who are not as Brad/Angelina savvy as we are will believe it then, and give credence to it. And since many people outside of the gossip world have no idea who Ted C is, then they might give him the benefit of the doubt. But if we put our comments on their website and show that we are aware that it is a hatchet job and that this hack of a journalist is fabricating most of the article, then other people would hopefully become more informed.
My good friend who is not a tabloid junkie but reads the internet news just made a derogratory comment about Angie based on this article, and I had to make her see the light. And she is an educated person, not prone to believing gossip. But she believed this article because it was from ABC.
Actually I agree with Cliniqua’s comment about Cindy Guagenti, I wish she was more aggressive. Nicole Kidman’s publicist blasted Cindy Adams’ article re Nicole drinking wine while pregnant during the Oscar party. Why can’t Cindy be a little more aggressive instead of whining “why didn’t they contact me?” She already knows the ways of the so-called media, why not go for the jugular?
Here’s an interesting post I found in the blog for that stupid ABCNews story on Angie. It’s from a woman that runs a website for large familes and has written a book about them (her own, I think)….
This is perhaps the silliest “news” story I’ve seen in a long, long while. I don’t know Jolie personally so I can’t vouch for her mental state, but the attempts to draw a parallel between her and other celebrities who suffered from depression and HAPPENED to have large families was poorly done and the highly speculative “expert” quotes really didn’t help. I guess I didn’t realize that ABC News was a celebrity gossip site.Let’s face it, everyone: focusing solely on “finding ourselves” throughout our entire lives creates selfish, self-centered and boring people. Human beings create relationships because without relationships, life IS empty. Not everybody has kids, and that’s fine. Some people form friendships, they get a dog, a partner. And some,–gasp!–have and enjoy children, sometimes even more than one or two! Finding fulfillment in motherhood doesn’t mean you’re competitive, compulsive, twisted, avoiding life, trying to re-define yourself, seeking attention, mentally ill, or any of the above. I’m sorry, but I disagree. Didn’t Angie say that she doesn’t mind when bad things are written about her except in legitimate publications? I bet she considers this a legitimate publication and I bet she cares even if it’s a little bit about this one. For me, it isn’t so much that it was written cause that’s to be expected, it’s WHERE it was written. It’s on freaking ABC.
2008 OSCAR has the lowest rating ever recorded (since Nielsen started getting the rating in 1974).
The advertisers are not happy, the academy is not happy, ABC is not happy … but Brad, Angie and the kids are happy.

I think ABC is majorly pissed because Angie showing the bump at ISA’s upstaged the Oscars. They are venting because the ratings sucks and is reportedly at its lowest since 2003 (or lower than 2003, younger demographics down) so yeah, they want to vent that anger to someone. I’m sure ABC and Oscar producers are hearing an earful from the advertisers.
What did people and the media talked about during the ceremony? Yep, we’ve got Insider, ET, Extra showing their phone pics of the bump to people at the Oscars and asking people’s opinion about it. Who are the major covers of the mags and tabloids? Yep its the baby bump. The Oscars is relegated to just a pink dot or a sidenote. That must hurt.

You know looking back on past threads & pictures Angelina has been pregnant for a long time. I would not hesitate to say she’s 5 or maybe 6 months. When she holds her kids it’s like not only the kids but a big ol ball in front of her. You can tell by the way she stand..

Angelina’s baby to be born in family’s new French chateau
It seems Johnny Depp won’t be the only Hollywood A lister living the quiet life in France for much longer. After months of house-hunting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly decided to buy a chateau in Provence, and are planning to raise their growing family there.
The jet-setting couple, who are already adoptive parents to six-year-old Maddox, Pax Thien, four and Zahara, three, as well as their one-year-old natural daughter Shiloh, are expecting a fifth child this summer.
And although Shiloh was born in Namibia, the actress apparently plans to have her next child in a developed country. “She has given up all thought of having her babies in Third World countries like she’d always planned,” reveals a source. “They agreed that the next time Angie was pregnant, they’d go to France. It holds a lot of happy memories for all of them.”
According to reports, Angelina sees having her baby in France as a way to honour her late mother, French-Canadian actress Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away last year.
“Giving birth in France will give her a certain feeling of peace about her mother’s death,” says the source, who adds: “All of the kids love it there. It’s a good place for them to be.”
“Angelina is proud of her French roots and wants her latest addition to be born and raised there,” confirms a pal.

Re: Jesse and Angie… the gold has already aired. ABC claims that they have the full episodes on their website; I’m sure if it’s worth your while, but the Feb 15th episode was the episode when they finally came face-to-face.
Re: ABC and their slant on Angelina
Just another example of poor judgment on their part. Their Oscars sucked; it lacked star power; and the decision to allow that great film luminary, Gary Busey, on the premises versus ‘Brangelina’, is a gift that keeps on giving. Bat-$hit crazy Busey was very abusive towards an 11 year girl; contrast that with Brad and/or Angelina at the SBIFF or any other interviews or interactions with children. Maybe that has to do with their children… or the fact that they are both mentally stable.
At any rate, I made the decision to not allow anything Terd C. says or does bother me. The more attention he gets, the longer his career will last. As for ABC, they are careening towards E’s fate; they don’t check their employees and ‘experts’ ;therefore, they are setting themselves up for more embarassment and fewer viewers. E’s Oscar Red Carpet was the perfect example.

I did not watch the oscars as i said i would not. But does anyone know how low the ratings were for barbara walters oscar special? I don’t think it did too well. She’s getting too old and insignificant. Also did okra winfrey have an oscar special? I think her oscar special are too much like her show.
