I didn’t like Cate Blanchett at all in her Bob Dylan role - she just did a parody of him. I usually think she is great and is my favorite actress (along with Helen Mirren) but no way did she deserve the Oscar for this pic.

I haven’t seen Michael Clayton so don’t know if Swinton deserved it or not but she is one spooky looking lady and needs to get herself a stylist. All her gowns are just ugly and so is her no make-up and severe hair.

Javier Bardem rules! I absolutely loved him and the movie itself (NCFOLM) so yes, he and the Coens deserved their awards. You’ll be seeing a lot of Bardem in years to come.

Same for Marion Cotillard. She was fabulous as Edith Piaf and the minute I saw the movie, I said, there is an Oscar performance.

All the music from Once was so good, I was blown away by the movie and was so thrilled when their song was nominated and now has won. What a great little movie. It cost $100,000 to make but is priceless as far as art goes. Ymmmm. It was and is a delicious film

So all in all, I am more than happy with this year’s awards. 2008 was a good year for really great movies and very good Oscar choices for the most part.

cate should have won for her bob dylan performance
and
ellen page for Juno

I couldn’t watch the show from France, could anyone tell me what Stewart said about Angie and about Hillary?

i hate miley&ashley tisdal @ 02/25/2008 at 5:23 pm

joohnyy fdepp should have won

i wanted johnny to win.. :(

where is zac efron, vanessa , ash..

I hope #56 is joking…

I am SO GLAD Daniel Day Lewis won, along with Javier Bardem and Marion Cotillard. I haven’t seen Michael Clayton, so I didn’t get to see Tilda Swinton’s acting. I didn’t doubt the winners [excluding supporting; I didn't really know which one]. They were all so amazing.

i really wanted johnny depp to win! not only for sweeney todd, but because he really diserved it. Johnny is the only man in earth that can play a dirty weird pirate and still make it interesting and sexy..
about the winners i was on javier’s side!! so i was happy when he won and i was very touched when he spoke in spanish just to tell his mom that he loved her :) and let me answer you #56..
theyre so ******* stupid and boring that they weren’t invited.
the academy award is 4 REAL actors. NOT 4 high school jerks.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! LOVE THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM

i’m serious Across the Universe should have won for best cotsume. and seriously, i’m sorry, but not everybody likes western movies, okay. and you have to give props to johhny depp in his performance in sweeny todd: the demon barber of fleet street. i wonder if he’ll actually do a real theater sweeny…. maybe someday

angelina is sooooo annoying…. she doesn’t realize what she’s doing to her so called “kids”. what’s going to happen to them when they grow up? they’re going to be some messed up druggy living off scraps on the street. i mean come on, you’d have to be stupid to adopt that many kids and have ones on your own in hollywood. she’s just sooooooo weird. and brad is pissing me off. gah, they are one super dysfunctional family if you will call them that.

I was so happy for Marion! She completely deserved it! :D

Sad for Atonement though :(

Best Visual Effect - big joke! transformers should have won.

transformers should have won for Best Visual Effects!

its plain obvious that vickie, #61 is just jealous. she wished she was adopted instead.

VIVE Marion Cotillard ! I’m sooooo happy for her, she is the best one <3 La France est fière de Marion !

Johnny Depp should’ve won, i mean, no one has ever heard of daniel-day lewis

I think the oscar is a kind of conservative award, perhaps how come those film we(young mind) enjoy never gets the crown?

@Patti: Where is the talent ? Uh sweetheart did you even see any of these movies. Some great actors and actresses won, go back to watching mindless fluff like transformers.

@paige: Sweetheart, the movie biz pumps billions into the economy and creates millions of jobs. Think before you speak.
