Tilda Swinton @ Oscars 2008
Tilda Swinton (in Lanvin) arrives at the 2008 Oscars held at the Kodak Theatre on Sunday in Hollywood.
Tilda, 47, won Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her role in Michael Clayton. During her acceptance speech, she thanked costar George Clooney.
Swinton addressed Clooney, jokingly saying, “You know, [you have such a] seriousness and dedication to your art. Seeing you climb into that rubber bat suit from Batman & Robin–the one with the nipples–every morning under your costume, on the set off the set, hanging upside down at lunch. You rock, man. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

An original sense of style, an original attitude, an original speech. There is nothing ‘contrived’ about this woman, unlike the rest of ‘Blond Hollywood’, I might add, who look like carbon copies of each other.
She should be appreciated and admired for her sheer originality and her raw, powerhouse talent.
Some people who have so freely dismissed her by their comments should really try not following the goat herd mentality and value an individual’s innate character.
A quality that they seem to be lacking and like ‘HOW!!!!!’
Shame with the comments here, it reiterates the media manipulation most people are predipositioned now to the plastic/tannned/faked beauty, that as a female, we should be this perfection that is deemed attractive….This is not Tildas beauty. Tilda is royal, stunning, an artist, has wicked sense of humour, eccentric, INTELLIGENT and serene. I am so GLAD a woman like this is around.
Derek Jarman would be proud!
