Harlow Madden is a ‘People’ Cover Girl

Nicole Richie and daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden, almost 7 weeks, are on the cover of the People Magazine this week. The issue, on newsstands Friday, talks about who the baby looks like, for whom she was named and who was the first to cry – Nicole, 26, or boyfriend Joel Madden, 28.

On the six weeks since the baby’s arrival: “It’s almost like I don’t even remember what life was like before her. She gives life a whole new meaning and a whole new purpose.”

On breastfeeding: “There’s just so much I can’t eat because she’s sensitive, I eat really bland [food] – chicken noodle soup, vegetables, fish. I had to cut out milk, no tomatoes, no lettuce. You think you have to cut everything out when you’re pregnant, but you really have to cut everything out when you’re breastfeeding.”

On how long she was in labor: “I don’t know because I don’t know what time I actually went into labor, but I pushed for 10 minutes.”

Harlow’s going to be a hottie!

Hmmmm, nothing spectacular …. this child looks as bland as the food that her mother eats. and i don’t know why people are saying she looks like nicole when she is the exact replica of her father(do a side /side comparison) plus are u forgetting that this nicole is not the REAL nicole, find a picture of her first season w/ paris, THAT was the real nicole (before her full body liposuction)…. i can’t really say whether or not she has changed for the better, if anything id say she just got knocked in the face with responsibilities, yes she PROBABLY might not do the drugs but just because shes made that change DOES NOT mean she has changed her character. MY THOUGHTS ( harlow is a nice toy for nicole, but she will just grow up to embody the nicole we were first introduced to). and now this whole paris and benji thing, its all fabricated, i won’t be surprised if it comes out that she ALSO gets knocked up and stays with this benji guy and then her baby and nicoles baby can be together and it’ll be perfect! (in case someone gets offended and decides to attack my opinion i think i have it all covered: 1)my name states shiloh is the best of all these celebrity babies (looks wise) yes im sticking to that. if that baby passed me in the street she would catch my attention because of her features, she has such blond hair and her blue eyes are captivating against her pale skin and her lips (well u already know) 2) i don’t hate nicole nor is this jealousy, i just don’t see her as anything shes not an actress or a singer or ANYTHING, her fame was/is based on her wild behavior. she was born given money like paris and does not know what it is to work for it or anything. 3) yes I KNOW angelina does not have a clean past…. im not denying it, but her actions towards helping those in need show her sincerity. 4) “angelina is a husband stealer”…. well neither you nor i know what happened there soooo…. 5) “dont talkAngelina is a skeleton”… again neither you nor i know the situation BUT i can say taking the fact she had been dealing with her mothers death, and kids and everyday stress Appetite diminishes….. Overall I don’t CARE about nicole, nor am i going to continue to defend any jolie stuff. it was just my opinion, plus it kept me entertained for a good moment :O)…. Amber, I couldn’t even read all of that ranting, drooling nonsense from the Shiloh fan that spewed their hate all over! I got as far as the idiot saying the first season was the real Nicole — when Nicole was only ever chunky for about one - two years in her whole life — and it was after she just got out of rehab!

nicole has been mature and fine since well before she met Joel. it’s why she took responsibility for her DUI, why she busted up with Paris, etc. She was well on her way BEFORE she got pregnant.

I don’t understand people’s obsession with whether or not someone got a C-section or gave birth naturally. They must not have ever had kids or been around people who did.

Having a C-section is HARDER on you, not the easy way out, requires weeks of recovery time, and leaves a nasty scar.

Many, many people have C-sections because natural birth is still dangerous, and not always the best thing for a mother or child. One of the reasons why Western nations have low infant mortality rates is BECAUSE of C-sections. I know lots of healthy, strong women who tried natural birth and after hours of labor, had to have C-sections. Others who knew they were going to have to have a C-section going in, because of tilted uterus, or narrow pelvis, or baby position, or low blood pressure, or high blood pressure, or natal diabetes, or any other host of reasons.

So ignorant people ought to get off their high horses. If celebs had a C-section, they are just like everyone else, and probably HAD to. No one WANTS a scar like that and days in the hospital, then weeks of painful recovery and so chooses it on a vain whim!

From some comments it sounds like people who haven´t bodies like supermodel, or - as you wrote - are “chunky” (and it doesn´t mean dangerously obese, since Nicole never was obese, she just have some “features” which almost every normal woman has, you know, naturally we are not that “perfect” - even naturally skinny girl looks by far different than supermodel) it simply sounds like being chunky is hideous and the poor baby´s only goal is to look like her super skinny mother now.
