OlderKate Walsh Sends Her Apologies
Kate Walsh promotes her medical drama, Private Practice, after arriving at the Quay Grand Hotel in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday. She’s also reportedly promoting her new movie One Way to Valhalla.
It was recently announced that Kate won’t be performing in “Good Medicine,” a musical benefit at UCLA’s Royce Hall on Friday to benefit crew members who were affected by the strike. Other cast members from Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice will be there to perform, though! Here’s Kate’s personal (and funny) apology:
“I’m sorry. I’m really sorry and I am sorry I have to be so sorry but still, I do, because I am writing to let you know that despite my initial commitments, I won’t be able to participate in ‘Good Medicine.’ I wanted to come, I really, really did — but I can’t. I have a prior commitment that I tried to get out of and couldn’t. I am so sorry. And so so so bummed. I am so bummed not only that we can’t be there for you and our crew, but because I hate to miss what promises to be an unbelievably great evening. Audra McDonald, Sara Ramirez and Loretta Devine (known to you as the chief’s wife, Adele. She played Effie in the very first Broadway Production of Dreamgirls) are singing! Not to mention T.R. Knight, Chandra Wilson, Amy Brenneman and Paul Adelstein, Tim Daly and Chris Lowell… they’re all going to sing! And so are Chief Webber and his real-life wife Gina, also a Broadway veteran. Aside from all the music, there will be appearances by Katherine Heigl, Brooke Smith, Sandra Oh, Justin Chambers, Chyler Leigh, Eric Dane and Taye Diggs. Basically everyone’s gonna be there. Except me. I cannot believe I have to miss this. Crap. Our crews are the people who make all of it possible. I am so excited this evening is happening to raise money for them and so so sad I won’t be there. I hope you forgive us and I hope you have a wonderful time.

it’s a shame some people waste their time spreading hate. KW and EP are both worth admiring and are both the stars of their great shows.
So kate dislikes Ellens, yes so what. but JJ mentioned it. and plus T.R mentioned Ellen. In the radio bit, he mentioned them by name. Ellen was there. so far she is attending, Shonda mentioned her everyone else did. She’s the grey in grey’s anatomy, definately not someone to miss. :)
besides, if this was a mistake on Kates behalf, it happens. so what. I’m sure as some of you stated Even EP woudn’t notice since they only complement each other.
But I do hope it is a mistake and not an intentional bit on her behalf.
Ellen is the sweetest ever. down to earth lovely adorable very kind human being. Kate is gorgeous lovely cheerful very kind person as well. and both always do good and treat their fans well.
I love that about them.
I will miss Kate not being there.

My mum is friend with Audra McDonald (Naomi from PrP), and Kate Walsh is not very appreciate, she acts as if the cast of PrP have their job thanks to her. But she seems friend with Taye Diggs.
But with the media and the producers she’s an angel as my aunt Audra says!
KW real problem is in fact with PD but she blames it on EP (because EP is an easy target), that’s why she’s sometimes threw some stones to EP.

Kate left her name out on intentionally you cant say she forgot yout hing grey anatomy and you think meredith grey. She remembered brrok smith and chyler leigh but forgot Ellen. Also she didnt mention patrick who wont be there but she said everyone will be there but me.

I mean, really, that woman is human to. She is just like everyone else except that more people know her and she’s a celebrity, therefore people overanalyze everything she says. That’s a load of bull****.

#64 - What a liar you are Kassidy. Audra McDonald has spoken glowingly about Kate. She said that thanks to Kate she got the job because she tested with Kate & clicked straight away. She said even if she didn’t play Naomi, Kate would be a good friend for life.

It’s really interesting that she missed out the name of the GREY of GREY’S ANATOMY, but chose to remember the names of Chyler and Brooke. Oh and by the way, had Kate ever had a scene with both Chyler or Brooke? I guess not. But somehow their names are so memorable to her…
Yes, it really isn’t a big deal when she missed out a name of her ex-cast mates. But it DOES make me wonder if she’s intentional or not when she can mention the names of the actresses that she didn’t even have a scene with but not the actress that she had actually worked with and went to an award show with.
And btw, it is announced that PD is not attending “Good Medicine” earlier when they just started to promote the benefit.
