A fan’s tribute to Terrence Malick
I’ve been following the slow-building saga of Terrence Malick’s Tree of Life for a while now and there has been some definite movement in recent days. For one thing, Brad Pitt, who has replaced Heath Ledger, and fam have moved to Smithville, Texas, which locals are now calling “Pitville.” Austin 360 is keeping tabs on the production has found three YouTube videos of what looks like the 60,000 pound old oak tree they’ve chosen for the shoot. Production designer is Jack Fisk, cinematographer is Emmanuel Lubezki. Sean Penn also stars.
The notoriously private director is keeping things quiet for now but with Brad and Angie in town, something tells me it won’t be much of a secret for long.
There isn’t a good deal of information out there about Tree of Life, which is also written by Malick, but it is supposedly a project he began working on in the 1970s and looks to be a kind of sweeping epic of the evolution of mankind. You know, just a simple story.

Thank you for posting that article it is so positive. It demenstrates so clearly the respect people have for her, and her knowledge. Angie is so awesome, and so humble, and generous. This is what ABC should have printed. But we shouldn’t worry. Because every time some tries to knock her down, someone comes right behind them and elevates her even higher than she was. Suck on it trolls. And she has Brad Pitt, her children and another on the way. Life is good. Peace

No one knows.
Malick is very private person and he does not give interiew to press.
He studied Kierkegaard, Heidegger, and Wittgenstein at Harvard.
Those philosophers’s common theme was the Existance and TIME.
I can relate to Malick’s notion of the human being and the universe.
I love watching Angie and Brad evolving with their free spirit and the
universe is witnessing and embracing them.
It’s a kind of the relationship between parents and children.
Brad and Angie are children who explore this world and eager to learn something from their existance in this world and they reproduce many children who will taste their existance in this world,too.
I love watching them. I almost identify with the tree in Malick’s film and I am enjoyning witnessing two beautiful souls’s evolution.
Ot: omg cook, please don’t kill me, but it’s not north carolina who’s playing tomorrow, it’s nc state! I told you, too many teams… I’m so sorry for getting your hopes up!
