Brad Pitt and The Tree of Life
The wonders of shaving!
Brad Pitt looked mighty young on the Texas set of his new movie, Tree of Life.
Working the newsboy cap once again!
Sean Penn also stars in the film. The Tree of Life, directed by Terrence Malick (The Thin Red Line), opens in 2009.
Read up on the latest Brad & Angie sighting in Texas on KeyeTV.com.

Ot: passing through, i know what you mean, but vanessa herself keeps saying in magazines that she’d love to come back. It would actually make sense for brenda to show up eventually because robin is back and pregnant. Weren’t they best friends? As far as ned, wally kurth is gone too, but shows up once in a blue moon when ned is needed. Lately it’s been for all the quatermaine funerals, lol. Seriously, there aren’t a lot of q’s left.
Read and enjoy, all about small town Smithville, Texas. Rumor is that Brad and Angie have rented a country home on the Colorado River. My guess it that this film shoot will be a little like Canada for them. As Brad said, Angie was pregnant and it was magical.

Jenny McCarthy on Jim Carrey
“He is the light of my life and we’re more in love now than we have been in our entire relationship.” As for marriage? “We’re living together, we don’t want any more children and we’re very happy — all that’s going to be is a piece of paper, really. What is it a guarantee of? I’ll be yours forever? I’ll be faithful? Bull!”

Keep lying to yourself, Jenny McCarthy. Marriage is special. It is a good thing.

As always whole family is together and they are in Texas. Angie and Mad went to Walmart in Bastrop Texas 15 minutes from Austin (a bigger town 15 minutes from Smithville) and onlookers said how tiny she is and how pretty she is. The person who checked her out said they bought toys when she called into a local radio station. They arrived in Texas on Monday.

That’s just your opinion.
Marriage can be heaven or hell.
I know that reality from first hand experience.

This is interesting…
Since they are in Austin, I recall someone alluding to the fact that Robert Rodriquez lives and makes all his films there.
I found out that there is a Sin City 3 rumored to star Johnny Depp. Why 3 before 2, the one where Ava lord was supposed to be played by Angeina?
Here’s one person’s theory on IMDB (take with a grain):
SEALBarton
——————————————————————————–
The reason why Sin City 3 is set to come out before Sin City 2 is because… IT ISN’T!!! Here is why it says it is: It was confirmed a while back that they would make two more Sin City movies. So IMDB made a Sin City 2 and a Sin City 3 page. It was never really confirmed what books would be included in the next movie. It was highly speculated (and originally planned) that A Dame to Kill For would be the main novel for the second movie. But, due to the fact that the producers/directors waited so long for Jolie, this threw everyone else’s schedule out of whack. So now, here we are, and nobody is cast for Ava Lord. And Depp finally has a free schedule to film this movie. So, instead of making A Dame to Kill For the second Sin City, as speculated/planned, they are going to go ahead with Hell and Back. This makes perfect sense. Make the movie while they can. So this movie IS Sin City 2. (assuming they do make it and release it next)
REMEMBER: There is NO real chronology to the movies!!!! YES, A Dame to Kill For takes place BEFORE both The Big Fat Kill and The Hard Goodbye. So it really makes no difference that this movie comes out before A Dame to Kill For does.

Don’t get too excited. People in Austin know Robert R and Frank Miller throw names around all the time about Sin City sequals with little verifiable foundation to what they say (they also wasted a lot of money on their last films which bombed).
Robert R is now totally “in love” with Rose McGowan and pushes movies for her. His ex, Elizabeth A, with whom he has 5 kids, has served as a producer on all his films in the past and I don’t see how this arrangement stays in place. Also neither Angelina nor Johnny D have ever agreed to do any Robert R films.
Fact is, Angie will also have a baby this summer, her 5th child, will be one extremely busy momma, and Ava Lord the role Angelina’s name has been floated as maybe tied to, is a naked sexy siren, not a pregnant or nursing momma.
I do not see this ever happening, just do not, and if it does it will not happen with Angelina.
Marriage, Friendship, Love, Happiness .. none of these things are guaranteed to last forever.
The right to choose your Journey will… ViVa~ Jolie/Pitt

Depp’s schedule isn’t free. He should be with Bale and Cotillard in Indiana on a movie called Public Enemies.

‘Oprah’s Big Give’ puts good works in a bad light
Yay for giving: Oprah Winfrey hosts Oprah’s Big Give, an altruistic new twist on reality-TV competitions.
By Robert Bianco, USA TODAY
How can earning a spot in heaven compare with a place in prime time?
Anyone old-fashioned enough to believe in keeping acts of righteousness private should give a wide berth to Oprah’s Big Give (ABC, Sunday, 9 ET/PT), Queen for a Day as reinterpreted by the Queen of All Media. An Apprentice-type game that turns charity into a competitive sport, Give will strike you as immensely uplifting or horrifyingly vulgar, or an odd combo of both.
Good works clash with bad behavior, altruism shares space with publicity-masked-as-charity, all wrapped in the familiar reality-genre clichés. And at the stomach-churning center is that old American TV belief that every problem can be solved with a take-home prize, without any consideration for underlying difficulties.
Sunday we meet Give’s 10 big givers, who are broken into five teams and given a picture of a person in need. Their task: Figure out what the person needs and raise the money to provide it. At the end they face three celebrity judges (Jamie Oliver, Malaak Compton-Rock, Tony Gonzalez), even though they’d be better served by advice from people with hands-on experience in raising money without the benefit of celebrity.
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition treads much of this same maudlin, TV-knows-best territory. But at least that show doesn’t turn the people it’s making over into pawns in a game — a game that inevitably elevates the players’ problems to the level of the people they’re supposed to be helping.
It’s bad enough that what the people get has no necessary connection to what they need or deserve. What’s worse is it’s completely cut off from what they want, because the “prize” is decided by people who barely know them. For all its new-age trappings, Give is a throwback to a time when the poor were expected to be grateful for whatever they were given.
Seldom has the drive to do good works been as alarmingly, offensively presumptuous. When a homeless woman says she had hoped to be trained for a job, you can’t help thinking she may have had the best idea of what was best for her. Might there not be some widows who don’t want to be surprised with a block party or toy-buying spree, or who don’t like strangers telling their children how to best mourn their father?
There’s no doubt everyone involved means well, but then you do know where that road paved with good intentions leads, right? And it isn’t heaven.

Angelina Jolie Alert

(The Politico) Angelina Jolie!!!! The Most Famous Potentially Pregnant Woman in the World has been invited to Capitol Hill. Somebody, please tell Drudge.
Oh, wait. Not so fast. Apparently, Republican Rep. Thelma Drake of Virginia only asked her Chairman on the Armed Services Committee, Rep. Ike Skelton (D-Mo.), to invite her to the committee, according to a “dear colleague” letter the congresswoman sent Skelton (which was quickly blasted to reporters here in the Beltway). And it looks like she might not get the official nod.
We at The Crypt are never afraid to pander, especially on a slow Friday. And today I’m afraid I’m stooping to a new low: An item about Angelina Jolie (she of the Brad Pitt-saving-the-world Jolies) being invited to testify before the House Armed Services Committee. Yes, it has come to this. And no, I’m not proud (although I won’t lose any sleep over it either).
Sadly, for the stargazers among you, a spokeswoman for Skelton would not comment on Drake’s request, leading me to believe we may never catch a glimpse of our jet-setting crusader whose resume includes goodwill ambassador to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (not to mention the Tomb Raider movies and that spy vs. spy flick with the aforementioned Mr. Pitt).

A guide to Smithville for Brad, Angelina and even Sean Penn
By Michael Corcoran
AMERICAN-STATESMAN STAFF
Monday, March 03, 2008
A motto of Smithville, 45 miles east of Austin just off Texas 71, was “the best kept secret in Texas.” And then my big mouth and I moved there last year and that slogan became as fitting as calling Lockhart “Vegan’s Paradise.” All I lack is a button that says “Ask me about Smithville.”
I traded Austin, that trendy, starbuzzing “Riviera On the Range,” for the simple life of small-town Texas. And then cinematic giant Terrence Malick (”Thin Red Line,” “Days of Heaven”) came to my street to make “Tree of Life” with Brad Pitt and Sean Penn. With Brad you get Angelina, and with a new baby on the way, you get international media attention. With all these Hollywoodians walking around, I’m wondering when Pangaea is going to open a Smithville location.
Because it’s near Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Bryan/College Station, Smithville (pop. 3,901) is tagged “Heart of the Megalopolis,” but never has it been so “mega” as it will be for the next three months of filming. “Hope Floats,” which filmed here in 1998, is looking like a warmup act.
But this is not a story about star wattage, celeb canoodling or whether or not the newly single Sean Penn is dating Czech model Petra Nemcova. We’ll leave that nonsense to the supermarket tabloid parasites. Most folks in Smithville think “canoodle” is something you find in aisle three at the Brookshire Brothers grocery store.
In acknowledgement of today’s start of filming on the 1950s period piece, I’ve taken it upon myself to fill in all these newcomers on what there is to do in and around the Smitty City. Read on, Brad and Angelina, and you just might become Mr. And Mrs. Smithville.
Hey bdj - thanks for posting that article on Smithville! It sounds like a beautiful quaint town. I bet Angie is looking more beautiful every day - the next time we see her, she’ll probably look like she swallowed a beach ball instead of a watermelon. :-D
I hope everyone comes back to this thread. Don’t give hits to that disgusting RL thread JJ sadly put up.
CLINIQUA @ 03/01/2008 at 1:02 am
Unfortunately Limbaugh has a large following and he gave his views on the article. Discussion is good and people with common sense know that this is not a political issue but a humanitarian crisis. I don’t like the man and his right wing stance but he is just one of many that has praised AJ Op-ed in the Washington Post. O’course the hens and others will try and slant it against AJ but AJ’s non-partisan views are of public record.
CLINIQUA @ 03/01/2008 at 1:02 am
I followed you over from the RL thread - after I had posted my thoughts on his spiel I read your post about giving him hits. Now I’m sorry I even posted there. You are right, he doesnt deserve the recognition. I have never liked his points of view.
