OlderJessica Simpson Will Perform Concert For Troops

Jessica Simpson carries her wallet, messenger bag, and dog carrier (all Louis Vuitton) through JFK airport in New York City on Wednesday after a flight from LAX in Los Angeles.
It was recently announced that Jessica will perform on March 10 for U.S troops in Kuwait, which will broadcast live at 2PM EST on myspace.com/operationmyspace.
“It’s truly an honor to perform for the troops,” Jessica said in a statement. “Through Operation MySpace, I get to serve my country by doing what I love to do in front of thousands of brave men in uniform. It’s every girl’s dream!”
The concert will air April 12 on FX.

oh thats a terrible news for the troops !
is anyone else sick of her super long jeans dragging on the floor over super high platforms look?????? it drives me mad. i’m shorter then her and even i wouldn’t do this because it looks STUPID!
p.s. the only way she can hope to entertain the troops is if she takes her top off while singing to distract them from her awful cat in heat voice.

Give the troops a break, isn’t it enough that they are out there trying to stay alive and away from their friends and family, now they have to suffer through her god awful singing.

OMG, i totally missed that!!!! yeah, this dumb ho sets the women’s movement back 1o0 years (and i am no femi-nazi by any stretch of the imagination as i am presently a knocked up house wife). i mean what????? she doesn’t think there are women in the military? or maybe they don’t matter to her because they don’t have pen*ses that may/may not stand at attention in her presence? truth is, she can fool men in to thinking she has talent (a.k.a. big boobs) but she can’t trick the ladies! she knows that we can see right through her cheap tricks!!! I’m not a JS fan, but the comments here are pretty harsh. Whatever you think of her, rest assured the US soldiers will be grateful someone cares enough to come over there and put on a show to give them a little relief from the stress & danger of their daily lives.
It doesn’t matter whether or not she’s the greatest talent. It matters that she is willing to go there for our troops. Good on her.

let’s just say that her “true motives” are questionable at best. she knows her reputation and her career are in the toilet and she’s desperate to ingratiate herself. yes, the troops will be entertained and that is good. they more then deserve every bit of happiness and attention they can get.

I still like her! She has a good voice…just has not showcased it in the right way for a number of years. As far as going to Kuwait, good for everyone! The troops (men and women) don’t have a lot of entertainment from home. So go, Jessica! No, I am not her sister or member of her family. Whether it gives her good press etc., I think more of our “STARS” should be over there performing but wonder why they don’t? They are scared and selfish. How many of us would go over there to help in any way?

I’m not 100% convinced of her motives. She’s in desperate need of some good PR right now. Her career is in the toilet, she’s hated by Cowboys fans, and she has a country record to promote. So, while I’m not saying she doesn’t care about the troops, I do think there are alterier motives at work here. The timing seems questionable to me. Why now? Like I said before, she needs some good PR!

Yes, I think this a big PR stunt by Papa Joe of course. She has gone at least three times before, twice with Nick. Her face looks frozen and I agree with # 12, 13 and 19. Maybe she thinks visiting the troops will help her country album. I doubt it.
