Zac Efron is One Slick Rick

Zac Efron arrives at the Gaiety Theatre in Douglas, Isle of Man on Thursday to continue shooting his new movie Me and Orson Welles (an adaptation of the period coming-of-age novel by Robert Kaplow).

Claire Danes stars opposite the 20-year-old teen heartthrob in the Richard Linklater-directed film.

Me and Orson Welles is a 1937-set movie, which centers on a high school student (Zac) who, while strolling the streets of New York, happens upon the yet-to-open Mercury Theatre and is noticed by its mercurial founder, Orson Welles.

Zac is filming in England until the 14th March then the movie goes to NYork, I think that Vanessa’s film is supposed to fiinsh towards the end of March from what I read.

Andf HSM3 is supposed to start filming the 21st April I remember that one mainly becuase it is also my birthday.

So if it goes to plan they will only be apart for another month, as who’s to say that once they have both finished their films that they won’t get the chance to get back to L.A. for a while before filmingon HSM3 start’s

But they have been seperated before but I’m sure that they will enjoy being together again and even being back home in spite of the pap’s which they do seem to avoid really good at time’s so that they can get some quality time together,which to be fair they totally deserve.

First, Alexandra, maybe you should get the book and read it like so many others are doing and then you will know what happens. It might be good research for you.

Yes, filming is suppose to wrap in Europe on the 14th or the 15th. It is suppose to move to NYC then BUT there has been some question whether or not any of the actors will have to be in NY to film any scene. There is talk that the NY stuff is only for outdoor shots, etc. SOOO, if Zac doesn’t have to be in NY, then it would seem he will be going back to LA. BUT even if he has to be in NY he is still back in the states and it would not be inconceivable that he and Vanessa might be able to hook up on days off. Vanessa has been back in LA a couple times since starting to film Will. Also, it was reported that Zac and Vanessa was able to connect with each other at times—although quickly—when she was on tour and he was doing Hairspray. Now, I don’t know all the particulars of those reports but I have read that in the past more than once. We may not ever know if they see each other in this way as they my avoid the paps but who knows—at least they will be within easier read of each other within a couple weeks.

I was not mean. I was just making a suggestion since so many people don’t want to read, they just want someone to give them a book report. I think someone else had said they were having a hard time finding the book too.

Well, I just have one more comment to Alexandra.

Honey, I WORK in a middle school, so I deal with this EVERY day. I’m not surprised you’re that age at all; you act like it. Talk about wanting to be sexy….ewww. There’s NOTHING sexy about 12, 13, 14 yr old girls. Sorry, there’s not. But, OH, they think they are. And they’re queens at bullying and being mean. So I know exactly what you’re like. Maybe it’s time to ‘go out of your box’ and try to be nice for a change. People would like you a lot better.

I read the book, and at first when I saw Zac looking so gorgeous and
reading about how many thought he looked so much older I kinda
thought he is a little miscast (don’t everyone get mad at me) because
his character Richard Samuels is not supposed to be a lady killer, he is
only 17,girl crazy and a bit of a nerd who never gets the girl, and his
friends are the chick magnets.
Then I remembered what a good actor Zac is he can be goofy and he’s
has pulled off the dramatic roles, so this movie is going to give him
the opportunity to show his range of emotions and if he pulls it off
he will definately be put in the A-list and there will be no stopping him.

well, also remember movies are usually adaptations of books and don’t follow them completely. sometimes characters are altered somewhat to suit the director/producer/adpated screenplay. i am actually choosing not to read the book so i am not disappointed by things that might be changed/left out/added. i am often let down by movie adaptations of books so i am wanting to have an open mind with this one. i’ve got a pretty good idea of the story so i’m just going to leave it at that.

Alexandra, I didn’t say ANYTHING that every teacher in my school doesn’t already know!!!! We talk about it everyday!! It’s just YOUR culture, and middle school kids have gotten WAY meaner through the years. I’m just saying, honey……and I am way nicer when I don’t see rudeness in kids. It’s one thing to express your opinion, but do it in a nice way. We don’t all like the same things, but we can be kinder.
