Kate Walsh Returns to Grey’s Anatomy
Kate Walsh will return to Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Addison Montgomery for one episode this spring, reports EW.
Kate’s freshman show Private Practice is on hiatus until fall, so the redhead will head back to Seattle Grace for a guest appearance!
Five all-new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy will start Thursday, April 24.

I’m guessing it’s both to remind people about Addie/Private Practice since it won’t be back until fall and a ratings stunt for Grey’s. Grey’s has been critically panned this year and losing viewers. Bringing back the character who when on the show was one of the most popular characters isn’t really a surprising move considering the situations.
I’m looking forward to it. I quit watching Grey’s a few episodes in this year but I’ll definitely be back for this.

Addie was the most popular character - why else was she given her own show. You people need to use the little brain power you possess.
And like Karen said, she’s doing Greys a favor by returning for one-ep to boost ratings in sweeps. ABC need Addie :)
All the internet blogs have comments welcoming this move. A lot of people ditched Greys last season, or watch but think it’s crap.
This was a good move by ABC.

Tam, you are are stupid. None of the new shows from the networks are coming back, except maybe a sitcom b/c they are less expensive to make and do not take as long to produce. So get some facts straight dumbass.
Just what Grey’s needs, ANOTHER character…. As long as Addie is not going to mess up the Sloane/Hahn pairing I’m okay with it. And she can come in for one eppi and stir things up, but she needs to take next plane back to LA- where she belongs.

I’m a major Maddison fan too!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m excited about the possibilities (as unrealistic as they are).
Can’t wait.

I love Private Practice and GA! Addison was always my Favorite Character:D I hope we get a Callie and Addison scene.
I have mixed feelings here. I love Kate and the character of Addison. I never thought her story line was finished on Greys, but now that she is with a new group of characters I don’t know if I want her to return there. I do, however, think Kate Walsh will kick some major ass if she returns. Kate had this awsome chemistry with the cast, especially with Karev and Callie and the Chief and Baily and I would love to see that again. But I feel like this is such a ratings ploy on the part of GA and ABC. It’s like they are saying “If we put Kate on, they will come”.
I find it very interesting to read that most people are saying they will now have to watch GA again if Kate returns. I will watch the episode, but I just hope this doesn’t hurt Private Practice.
I still don’t know if this is true. Just yesterday, they confirmed it was only a rumor.
KW is fortunate to have fans who revere her so much that they give her power to play on the audiences.
I won’t be hypocritical, it’s possible that the return of Addie plays on the viewers, KW has her own public.
PrP has an average audience of 10 millions, next year if NBC puts PrP in competition with a show successful PrP may suffer, Criminal Minds roundup rate, Bionic Woman hasn’t worked and it isn’t because of PrP but Criminal Minds whose audience has increased.
Her return is a double effect: booster GA and not to forget Addie.
What is certain is that we would not forget KW, she’s everywhere, when new bikini photos ?
I wonder if she and PD will do scenes, seeing as he said he doesn’t really care for addison so maybe they’ll spare him and not put him with her.
I’m confused. People say PD (also called arrogant, but I don’t know why either) can’t stand her, but I’ve seen candids of them at different events (sure not many pics, but there are) and they seemed to like each other. Not BBF, but at least they seemed to joke.
I love Criminal Minds, I liked Addie but in GA, when she left I didn’t stop watching GA, it a great show and I didn’t hung with Private Practice.
Addie is popular but be realist, she wasn’t the most popular, well you’re her fans so I think it’s normal that you’re blind!!

#64, PD is not really friend with her and I even can say that he can’t stand her, every time he was question about KW and her show, he refuses to answer.
He refused to have photo shoot with her, it’s weird when you know that they played a married couple?

I dont think he mind KW, i think they get on well enough….not Friends friends but okay friends….its just he thought Addison was pointless beyond S2 and was always saying, why the hell was she there as long as she was…he thought she did nothing for the story….so i wonder if they’ll have them do scenes even thought he thinks addison is pointless??

The only reason why Kate is going back is because she is contractually obliged to. She has always said she wouldn’t because she did not think ABC would be so stupid as to bring her back so soon. They can fire her if they want so they are basically making her do this, I think.

PrP was just beginning to make a name for itself, other than the spin off of Grey’s and now ABC go and do this S-H-I-T well they can kiss all the promo work they did goodbye. Idiots.
