Kate Walsh Returns to Grey’s Anatomy
Kate Walsh will return to Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Addison Montgomery for one episode this spring, reports EW.
Kate’s freshman show Private Practice is on hiatus until fall, so the redhead will head back to Seattle Grace for a guest appearance!
Five all-new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy will start Thursday, April 24.

I also miss Addie and Burke immensely. The show hasn’t been the same without them. Especially Burke…………..I mean, at least we get to see Addie on PP. They need to get over whatever problem there was and bring him back. :(

this is a GOOD thing! i loveed addison’s character on grey’s…she was different and kind of stole meredith’s spotlight. i missed her so much when she left grey’s…happy about this!

OMG YAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! this is the moment i’ve been waiting for. i feel like a kid in a candy store.
obviously a ratings ploy by shonda.. it would not be the wisest decision, considering we’re still trying to adjust to the fact that addison will be permanently placed on a different show, but kate is classy enough to heed orders and make the most out of the situation.
WELL i can’t deny that i’m excited about this as well; i miss surgeon addie, i miss addison with the sex specs, and i miss her being her confident, sassy self around those mumbling emotionally-stunted doctors on greys!! please please i hope she has great scenes with callie, and of course with her men– mark, derek and alex maybe. i hope she comes back and leaves a mark on their miserable grey lives. it would be cool if she took back at least one of them to LA.. callie would be a top candidate, and Mark (eeep, maddison love!) could use some sunshine seeing as he’s thinking less sanely and hitting on Hahn, which has to be one of the dumbest plots ever concocted by shonda.
paddison is okay, but i think i like seeing addison smile with Hot Cop even more. alright.. i’m all rambly.. i’m just excited to see the old Addison on GA again!! thanks for the update Jared.

#82 Ummm..NO. Kate has no say in the matter. She does what ABC and Shonda tells her too. Kate has movie projects in the works and starts back on PrP in April for production, although it does not air til Fall. Considering Kate has movie projects in the works and a possible new movie in works, she is in no way desperate.
#88 Since you post in every KW thread on JJ, you must be strangely obsessed with her. You say you “hate her” well you seem to like to look at her pics. Dont live your life in hate. It is sad.
I so wish she would get back together with McSteamy! Best couple EVER! Now they have him crushing on Dr Hahn who is just a second rate ‘feisty’ Addison. I wonder if he will find out that she can’t have children? That would be the cutest scene!
I don’t mind private practice but i have to say that season 3 of grey’s anatomy was amazing, with all the attendings (addison, burke) and private practice just can’t compare to their hilarious interactions and addison had all those great storylines (alex, addison, mark triangle) and then they cut it off really abruptly so she could leave. I would love to see them resolve the left over sexual tension (and pete from prp is jsut not fit and doesn’t compare to the GA guys). I really wish she would return to stay! and btw, DEATH TO MEREDITH, most annoying and whiney female character ever.
On another note, Private Practice really seems like a dumb. shallow show.
It’s great!!! May be she can explaine to Derek & Meredith that they must to be together.
I think if Addie return, show will be more funny & interesting.

It’s just one episode, sheez, can’t Addison freaking VISIT?? Some people seem to be a bit overly involved in fiction.
#94 - the rabid Mer/Der fans often find it hard to separate fiction from reality. These are the fans who hate KW just because her character broke up the dull Mer/Der, plus they want EP & PD together IRL which says it all LOL

Good move on part of ABC - every internet forum is full of people saying how they will tune in for Addison’s return. 99% of people want her back for a visit :)
