Nicole Richie may be ready to reveal her singing and acting chops in the lead role of Roxie Hart in the Broadway musical, Chicago.
“She’s definitely interested and weighing it out with the timing of the baby,” a Richie pal tells Us Weekly. “It is in the super early stages of discussions and no decision has been made yet. It would give her a reason to really show her talent and to stay in the new place in NY [boyfriend Joel Madden] just got. It also shows people are really excited about Nicole right now.”
Richie, 26, welcomed daughter Harlow on Jan. 12.

Yup. I had read on her site that she was musically talented, but geez, with a dad like Lionel Richie, it’s no surprise.
I am glad that she is doing some positive things in her life and really keeping on track. I just hope she does not fall into the anorexic scenes again but I am very excited . If she plays I will definiitely go.

Lionel Richie is her adoptive father, there is no genetic passing along of musical talent there.
Hmmmm… a brand new mother with an infant daughter who doesn’t act or sing professionally is jumping in to the lead role in a Broadway show? Interesting choice. I think she’s doing it to lose weight. LOL
Well lisa rinna with her suction cup duck lips cant sing and Ashlee voice is like a screeching bat, listen to her up thread song posted and she has a pretty voice. So I’m for it.
I really hope she succeeds. Don’t know what her acting is like but she has a good singing voice. I think she’ll make a really good Roxy.

Basically her parents DUMPED her DESERTED her ,they gave away their 2 year old child. Btw Nic has training as a classic pianist. Good 4 her ,unlike her faux friend who is starring in another tired reality show about herself.

That is an old foto. Nicole may be naturally waif like now. When you breast feed thats 1000 calories you burn rite there. I did loose weight that way, an stayed skinny running around working, takin care of my baby,hubby,career. No time to eat properly. It burns alot of fat,especially after my first child .I was sick through my whole pregnancy. Ive stayed waif like.

She can sing a lot better than Paris, but I wouldn’t say she has a strong, textured voice at all.
No she may not have a what you call a texture voice, but the other two be4 her were no great singers themselves. Give it a go ,what s to lose. Ash&Lisa did it. Nicole can too.

yes nic is adopted but she would have been surrounded by Lionel and also influenced and trained musically.

Might as well try. Broadway can be demanding but it is a good place to get recognized for your talent
