I did not see Jumper but in the book I did not get the impression that David was living it up. He seemed to have a very sad, lonely sprit and he did go out of his way to help his neibor who was being abused and that was so endearing so I don’t really understand why Liman said that David did not use his powers to help others when he did! And he did not really take advantage, he sort of fell into the stealing because he was a minor with no means to work because he had no training and no social security or anyway of working. The movie David seems so different from the sensitive young man in the book.
Agian, in the book David really did go out of his way to save people and help them. Maybe it would make a better t.v. series because there was a great depth to David and his love for Mille. But in the movie it seems his feelings for her were incongruent to the ‘movie David’. But this could better be developed in a series.
I guess that the book David was not suave or exploitive where women were concerned, although he stole he was not happy or smug about it, and he was at Millies apartment every chance he had if only to love her from afar - not out being a playboy. He would not even kiss that college girl because all he could think of was Millie.
So because of the changes to David’s character perhaps the movie version of David seems not to be able to illicit the same compassionate response out of audiences.

As for Rachel and this showmance I sure do hope it’s over. Maybe she will learn to back off male co-stars next time, not throw herself at them because just because a man accepts being pursued it does not mean that he would have done the pursing or been interested if left alone.
And I think that most women want a man that would be interested in them enough to pursue them and initiate things all the way around.
Rachel seems pushy where men are concerned, like she throws herself at them and uses ‘friendship’ and/or a co-worker relationship as a guise for trying to get a guy to like her and then hopes for the best. Not a good idea.

Rachel is NOT a legitimate celeb which is why she is getting so much flak for her pap tipping! Real celebs don’t need to hire paps to go to the ghetto in Silverlake to take thier pics! [laugh]

I too read the book and I loved the original concept of Davey being a young teenish and he was in desperate need to survive he could teleport home but he was abused there mother ran off when he was a kid so he robbed 1 bank..nothing more and lived a very very low keyed life so he went undetected by the FBI and cops..knowone was looking for a kid they were looking for a professional burgler..which he was not..HE loved to read and books were his escape from abuse..Miliie wasn’t some bleek, brainless twit she was intelligent and a psychologist student..Davey gave to those in need and never really thought about himself..only the act to survive..there was no Sam Jackson chracter only Brian Cox who was said to be a good friend in the end and he was also hunting terrorist for killing his mom not mom as one of the kiler of jumpers..Can we say nothing of the original book was in this only the character’s names and the fact he could teleport..BIG DEAL..I think that is my Steven Gould said the movie was MUTATED..he knew it would be bad news..

All I can f*cking say is bullsh*t to those of you who do not believe Batcrap tipped the paparazzi off to visit Hattie. She is good @ looking pissed off. Her usual expression unless she is gloating about something. I feel actually bad for cute little Hattie! She is not ugly and shame on some of you for calling her ugly. Little kids are not ugly! Well. It is Batcrap that has put Hattie in the vulnerable position like that. Unless, Rachel is that f*cking stupid she does not think? I just think it is wrong to be spotted in the media w/ Hattie. Adam and Rachel did not need to admit anyone anything!
There are 100’s of pictures with Rachel and Adam kissing, holding hands or he has his arm around her. They did not have to say anything. The proved they were together by their actions.

Yeah Adam and Rachel also denied it for the first couple of years as well. There’s quotes such as “I love Rachel a little more every day. She’s the girl I will marry someday” from Adam and their O.C. co-stars were always commenting on how cute they were as a couple. They wouldn’t do this, if Adam & Rach were still denying it.

I love Racheland she’s awsome…But i think the way she is towards her sister is a little wierd:S I’ve heard interviews where she talks about her family and friends and she says that she loves her sister and all that stuff, but she didnt look very happy when her sister hugged her… :S maybe it is because of the paparaazzi or something
Rachel did say she denied her & Adam but she said she finally came out with it because everyone already knew because they were always out together holding hands, kissing showing all kinds of PDA….We dont see this with Hayden & he is a very touchy feely person…I would think it would be hard for him to hold back from touching his “gf “all this time if they were together……their actions dont make sense for them to be a couple…maybe everyone should read back on the Jen & Vince stories & all the other showmance stories…all they had were rumors & photos like H&R’s but those people were never couples the media & fans made them a couple
As for the movie….There was more chemistry between the teens that played young Millie & David than the adults…hmmmm
