So whale hunting is wrong but leather is fine? I’m not an animal rights activist or anti what they do so I really don’t care. But this whole selling leather but causing a riot over whales seems to be a contradiction. Is it the size that makes one killing ok and one not ok?

I still don’t think there is much difference. Humans get to choose which animal is fit to be killed and which isn’t. That’s not really a good argument and animals used for leather do not die from natural causes. Like I said I have no problem with this but it’s not an easy argument to make while you’re out there fighting for whales.

The difference is that leather is from a domestic animal, not a wild one, and is raised as a crop. Cows are bred and born, produced by man, in a livestock crop, to give their meat and leather. This is why minks, humanely euthanized from a mink farm, is okay, and trapping and torturing wild animals for their fur is not.
Whales are also among the most intelligent and human-like of animals on the planet, making it even more difficult to fathom the slaughter of them, and are endangered. These are reasons why almost every nation abhors the killing of whales.

#36 ^ Most pictures in magazines and ads are very photoshoped and that is something every knows but congratulations on just realizing that.
she looks pretty in those ads but they’re way too airbrushed. she’s not that skinny. i like the red and the gold best but without that huge HP tag…reminds me of harry potter, lol.
OK, I think Hayden is adorable, but what’s with the double standard? These bags are made of leather, Hayden. Leather comes from animals!!! Save the whales and dolphins, but everything else is fair game??

The bags look cheap and crappy.
These bags? You could get them anywhere. It’s hardly an original design, size…. The colors are pretty basic; the bags are far from versatile.
Also, leather? Don’t kill whales but hack the cow to death? Yeah, whales are endangered; but trust me, if we could find some way to wear them or eat them we’d have giant tanks for whale breeding. Then they wouldn’t be on the endangered species list any more than the f*cking cow is.
